What Is Singer’s Meadow in Minecraft Dungeons 2?
Singer’s Meadow — sometimes called just “the Meadows” — is the first region you explore inside The Sift. It features red sculk on the ground, teal grass, and vivid blue trees. It looks nothing like the Overworld. The area is home to the Singer, a mysterious character who watches over Echo Golems scattered throughout the region. When you arrive, those golems have gone silent and the Singer needs your help.
Singer’s Meadow is also where the game’s Sift Tide tutorial entry unlocks. The first time you step in, you will see an explanation of the three tides — Flow, Thrive, and Endure — that rotate and change how the dimension plays. For a full breakdown of the tide system, see our The Sift guide.
The region is recommended at level 33. Before entering, make sure your gear is up to date and visit the Enchantsmith. Singer’s Meadow introduces brand new enemy types called Sifters that you will not have seen in the Overworld.
How to Reach Singer’s Meadow
You reach Singer’s Meadow by completing the main story quest chain through the Overworld. After collecting both missing Note Blocks — one from the Frozen Highlands and one from the Rainy Plains — you return to the Deep Dark and use them to activate the Note Block Machine. This powers up the Ancient Portal in the Deep Dark, and stepping through it takes you directly into Singer’s Meadow for the first time.
Once the portal is active, it gives you a permanent fixed route back to Singer’s Meadow whenever you want to return. You can also reach the Sift through Rifts that open randomly across the Overworld map, though these drop you into the Sift at different spots each session.
For more on the zone that leads here, check our Frozen Highlands guide and our Deep Dark guide.

Singer’s Meadow Locations and Minecart Stations
Singer’s Meadow is broken up into four named sub-areas, each accessible from the minecart station network:
- Choral Glen — starting area near the Ancient Portal entrance
- Sifter Canyon — canyon section populated with hostile Sifter mobs
- Singer’s Portal — the Singer’s home area and quest hub; you defend this location during Lost Harmonies
- Wild Meadows — the outer section of the region leading toward the Sculk Monstrosity boss arena
The Singer NPC lives at Singer’s Portal. This is the character who gives you both of the main quests in this region and the Rage of the Sifters side quest. The Echo Golem gives you the Wobble Run side quest from the same area.
All Quests in Singer’s Meadow
Main Quest 12 — Lost Harmonies
Lost Harmonies is the 12th main quest of 15 in the full campaign. The Singer tells you that many of their Echo Golems have gone quiet — their songs have stopped — and asks you to go find out why.
The quest has seven objectives including two arena fights. The recommended level is 33. First-time completion rewards the full Nomad armor set (Hood, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots). The quest pays 2,750 XP on first clear. Completing it unlocks A Monstrosity in the Meadow, Rage of the Sifters, and Wobble Run.
Lost Harmonies Walkthrough
When you first arrive in Singer’s Meadow, speak with the Singer and the Echo Golem near the portal entrance. You then need to find and check on four silenced Echo Golems scattered across the region. Two are on the east side and two are further south and southwest.
Getting to each golem requires clearing groups of Illagers that have taken over those areas. You will need to use keys — a Gold Key and a Blue Key — to unlock the gates leading to some of the golems. Both keys are found lying on the ground in the southern section of Singer’s Meadow. The Gold Key unlocks a shortcut that makes getting the Blue Key easier, so pick it up first.
Defeat all enemies in each golem’s area, use the relevant key to unlock the passage, fight through the enemies inside, and interact with the golem to complete each objective. After finding the golems, the quest sends you to locate stolen soul blocks and defeat an Illager group in an arena fight.
The final section sends you back to defend Singer’s Portal from a large wave of Illagers. Use your best weapon on the clusters. After the defense wave, head to the Singer to check in. This triggers a cutscene where the Singer gives you a gift, completing the quest. The Singer giving you this gift is tied to the Friend of the Sift story achievement.
Main Quest 13 — A Monstrosity in the Meadow
This is the 13th main quest and the boss quest of Singer’s Meadow. After completing Lost Harmonies, the story reveals that Illagers are controlling another portal beyond Singer’s Meadow. You must push through, tear down their banners, and then face the Sculk Monstrosity in the boss arena.
The quest has eight objectives and one major boss fight. Recommended level is 33. The first-time reward is the Sculker Claws Unique melee weapon. The quest pays 2,750 XP on first clear.
A Monstrosity in the Meadow Walkthrough
The quest starts at a locked Musical Gate. To open it, you must take down three red Illager banners fixed to dark guardposts scattered around the approach to Wild Meadows. Each banner is marked by red cloth — look for the cloth rather than every enemy marker. The banner count tracks from 0/3 to 3/3 on screen. One missing banner will keep the gate closed even if you have reached the boss area, so double-check the count before heading back.
The optional Wobble Run and Rage of the Sifters side quests are also in this area and can be picked up here, but neither is required to open the gate or trigger the boss.
Once all three banners are down, return to the Musical Gate. It opens and you push through into the boss arena to fight the Sculk Monstrosity.

The Sculk Monstrosity Boss Guide
The Sculk Monstrosity is the first major boss of The Sift. It is the sixth boss encounter in the full campaign. It is a large sculk-armored creature that hits hard but is not as fast or agile as some later bosses, which makes learning its patterns manageable.
Sculk Monstrosity Stats
- Health: 2,000
- Poise: 1,200
- Hardest hit: 35 (Melee Final)
- Weak to: Fire (+50% damage)
- Resists: Soul damage
- Status it applies: Soulsick
Sculk Monstrosity Attacks
- Three-hit melee combo — the most dangerous regular attack; starts with the boss raising its arm; move backward or around to the side when this starts; do not trade hits
- Explosive projectile barrage — fires multiple explosive shots outward; move left or right to dodge; do not stand directly in front of it
- Charge attack — if you create too much distance it charges directly at you; wait for it to close in then roll sideways
- Sculk Cube summons — spawns small Sculk Cube minions periodically during the fight; deal with them before they cluster around you
How to Beat the Sculk Monstrosity
Fire damage is your best tool in this fight. The Sculk Monstrosity takes 50% increased damage from Fire. Use Fire Aspect on your melee weapon if you have it. Any weapon or enchantment that applies burning will make this fight significantly shorter.
The three-hit melee combo is the attack you need to respect most. When the boss raises its arm, move back or circle to its flank rather than standing your ground. The final hit of the combo is the hardest and will knock a big chunk of your health off if you eat it.
Keep the distance mid-range. Too close and you will get caught in the full combo. Too far and it charges at you, which can be hard to dodge in time. A medium distance gives you room to react to both the melee combo and the projectile barrage.
When Sculk Cubes spawn, clear them quickly. A few hits from cubes plus a boss attack at the same time will drain your health fast. Defeating the cubes also gives you a short window to land free hits on the boss.
The Sculk Monstrosity is also a boss in the Frozen Highlands side quest Illager Intelligence, so you may have already seen it once before this fight.
Defeating the Sculk Monstrosity for the first time rewards the Sculker Claws Unique melee weapon and unlocks the Sculk Monstrosity Revived side quest boss rematch.
Side Quests in Singer’s Meadow
Rage of the Sifters
This side quest is given by the Singer at Singer’s Portal. It unlocks after completing Lost Harmonies. The reward is the Sifter Robe armor piece at level 33. Rage of the Sifters is a longer side quest with 11 objectives and pays 550 XP. It sends you back into the region to take on groups of hostile Sifter mobs on behalf of the Singer.
Wobble Run
The Wobble Run side quest is given by the Echo Golem in Singer’s Meadow. It also unlocks after Lost Harmonies. The reward is the Wobblestone talisman at level 33. This quest involves finding lost Wobble creatures in the region. Completing it is tied to the Wobble Watcher achievement. It has 15 objectives and pays 1,100 XP on first clear.
The Sculk Monstrosity Revived
This is the boss rematch quest, given by the Boss Totem in Singer’s Meadow after you defeat the Sculk Monstrosity for the first time. The first clear of this rematch rewards a large bundle of items: Echo Ocarina, Fighter’s Flute, Humbling Horn, Phantom Wing, Sculker’s Bane, Soul Harvester, Turtle Master’s Mandolin, and Warrior Drums. Repeat runs continue to drop items from Singer’s Meadow’s loot pool. This is the best repeatable quest in the region for farming Unique items.
Enemies in Singer’s Meadow
Singer’s Meadow introduces the Sifter enemy family for the first time. These are native creatures to The Sift that you will not find anywhere in the Overworld. The region also includes standard Illager troops who have invaded the dimension.
Sift-Native Hostile Mobs
- Seedling — small melee Sifter; spawns in groups; fast in close range
- Nester — tall melee Sifter; gallops fast toward you, lunges and bites; can dodge your melee attacks
- Pollinator — ranged Sifter; fires large explosive projectiles; uses a tongue lash if you get too close; maintains distance from you
Overworld Mobs in This Region
- Enchanter — always kill these first; they buff every enemy near them and make fights much harder if left alive
- Pillager — standard ranged Illager
- Vindicator — fast axe-wielding melee Illager
- Royal Guard — tough melee Illager; common in grouped encounters
Passive Mobs
- Blub — glowing, rabbit-like passive creature; hops around and makes squeaking sounds; already confirmed for vanilla Minecraft Java and Bedrock in 2027
- Echo Golem — found throughout the region; central to the Lost Harmonies quest
- Slabber — passive Sift creature
- Trill — drifting passive mob found across the region
As always, Enchanters are your top priority when they appear in mixed groups. A buffed group of Nesters and Pollinators with an active Enchanter nearby is one of the toughest non-boss encounters in the region.
Singer’s Meadow Loot — Unique Items and Armor Sets
Singer’s Meadow has 11 Unique weapons and 16 Unique armor pieces in its loot pool. It is a strong mid-Sift farming zone, especially when running The Sculk Monstrosity Revived rematch quest.
Four full regular armor sets drop best in Singer’s Meadow — all four pieces of each set are in this region’s loot pool:

Singer’s Meadow Farming Tips
- Run The Sculk Monstrosity Revived for repeat farming. The first clear drops a full bundle of artifact-type rewards. Repeat clears pull from Singer’s Meadow’s full loot pool, giving you chances at Unique weapons and armor pieces each run.
- Watch the Sift Tide indicator in the corner of your screen. During Thrive, your soul generation is faster and artifact cooldowns drop. That is the best window for pushing aggressive encounters. During Endure, play defensively — stronger mobs spawn and passive soul regen stops.
- Bring a Fire build for the Sculk Monstrosity. Fire enchantments or weapons deal 50% more damage to this boss. If you have Fire Aspect, equip it before heading into Wild Meadows. See our all enchantments guide for options.
- Clear Enchanters first in every group fight. Singer’s Meadow puts Enchanters alongside Sifter mobs. A buffed Nester pack is much harder to deal with than an unbuffed one.
- Do not skip Wobble Run. The Wobblestone talisman is a solid reward and the quest pays good XP. It is also tied to an achievement, so it is worth clearing before moving on to Humbler Huskland.
- Check Soul Storm availability before logging off. Singer’s Meadow has its own Soul Storm site. Storm reward chests give roughly a 79% chance of Special or Unique loot — the best odds in the game. Soul Storms last around 40 minutes once they start.
- Pick up the Nomad set from Lost Harmonies early. It is a free full set of Medium-weight Fighter armor on first clear. Even if it is not your long-term build, it gives you a full matched armor set to work with at level 33.
For gear management between runs, our blacksmith and salvaging guide and blacksmithing guide cover what to keep and what to break down.
