Nassau Treasure Map Location — Where to Find It on Great Inagua
The Nassau treasure map is not found on Nassau itself. It is hidden on Great Inagua at coordinates 813, 448, in the northwestern part of the island near the docks. You gain access to Great Inagua during the “This Old Cove” main quest at the start of Sequence 4, when Edward establishes it as his hideout. You cannot get this map before that point in the story.
Once you are on Great Inagua, head to the northwestern docks. Look for a fallen tree trunk to the left of the docks with white flowers growing along it. Climb up the trunk to reach a higher ledge on the hillside. From the ledge, slide down into the small cave tunnel below. Inside the cave you will find a corpse lying next to a wooden crate. Interact with the body to pick up the Nassau treasure map.
The map goes into your Treasure Maps tab in your inventory bag. Open it to see the hand-drawn sketch and the destination coordinates pointing to Nassau.
Nassau Treasure Map Solution — Where to Dig on Nassau
The Nassau treasure map leads to a buried chest at coordinates 586, 755 on Nassau. Nassau is the pirate hub Edward visits during the main story “Now Hiring” quest. If you have already unlocked the viewpoint there, fast travel to Nassau to save sailing time.
Once on Nassau, use the large white manor house in the western part of the island as your landmark. Head west past the manor and you will come across a large lake on the western side of the island — a crocodile patrols this water, so keep your distance. From the lake, head south until you reach a large rock formation next to a tree. The dig site is in the ground directly below the overhanging alcove in that rock formation.
Walk up to the marked ground until the Dig Up prompt appears on screen. Hold the button to unearth the chest and claim your reward. If the prompt does not appear, double-check that the Nassau treasure map is in your inventory — the game requires you to hold the map before it reveals the dig site.
Nassau Treasure Map Rewards
Digging up the chest on Nassau gives you two things:
- Elite Sails Design Plan — a cosmetic upgrade plan for the Jackdaw’s sails. Take this to the Harbourmaster and spend 2,800 Reales and 450 Cloth to unlock the Elite Sails for your ship.
- 3,000 Reales — a solid cash reward that can go straight toward ship upgrades or Great Inagua hideout construction.

Nassau Warehouse Treasure Map — A Second Nassau Map
There is a second treasure map connected to Nassau. The Nassau Warehouse treasure map is found inside the warehouse at coordinates 593, 750, south of Nassau. This one requires a key before you can enter.
How to Get the Nassau Warehouse Key
When you approach the warehouse, you will see a note on the wall next to the door telling you a key is needed. The key is held by one of two guards patrolling the docks just south of the warehouse. Use Observe to spot the key as a green dot on one of the guards. Take down that guard, collect the key, then return to the warehouse, unlock the door, and loot the resources and treasure map inside.
Nassau Warehouse Map Solution — Isla Providencia
The Nassau Warehouse treasure map leads to coordinates 487, 11 on Isla Providencia. There is a catch here — Isla Providencia is story-gated. You cannot access it until you complete the “Marooned” main quest in Sequence 8. You can pick up the warehouse map at any time, but the chest will be out of reach until the story sends you there.
Once Isla Providencia is open, head to the southern beach. Move slightly south of the nearby viewpoint along the shoreline until you see three palm trees near a wrecked boat. The dig site is right there among the palm trees. Dig up the chest to claim the reward.
Nassau Warehouse Treasure Map Rewards
- Governor’s Outfit — a full outfit for Edward. This is a cosmetic reward and does not provide combat bonuses, but it counts toward outfit collection completion.
- 2,000 Reales
Since Isla Providencia holds two treasure chests once it opens — one from the Nassau Warehouse map and one from the Isla Providencia map leading to Long Bay — it is worth clearing both in the same visit rather than making two trips.
Tips for Treasure Hunting in AC Black Flag Resynced
- Story gates apply. The Nassau treasure map itself has no gate, but you need to reach Sequence 4 to access Great Inagua first. The Nassau Warehouse map requires Sequence 8 to use.
- Sync viewpoints early. Syncing a viewpoint near Nassau reveals the treasure map icon on the map, saving you time searching.
- Maps are classified as secrets. If a region still shows undiscovered secrets, a treasure map is often one of them.
- Nothing is missable. Both maps and their chests are available in free roam after the story ends. You can come back and clean them up at any point.
- Grab the map first, always. You cannot dig up a buried chest without the corresponding map in your inventory. No map means no dig prompt.
