TL;DR
- Bruna’s Request is a Chapter 3 Hernand Commissions Faction Quest that rewards you with a permanent inventory expansion (Medium Bag), Iron Ore, Trust +50, and Hernand Contribution Exp.
- To unlock it, read Bruna’s Poster on the Notice Board in the City of Hernand — you may need to complete Alden’s and Bran’s Requests first.
- After reading the poster, go to the Equinsher Saddlery at Serkis Estate (southeast of Hernand) and speak with Bruna to receive Bruna’s Note.
- Step 1: Go to Hernand Stable and pick up the Tack Keeper’s Note from the barrel behind the barn.
- Step 2: Head to the Royal Trading Post and talk to the Noble with the red hat under the right-side stand.
- Step 3: Enter Lioncrest Manor — the front door is blocked by guards until you have enough reputation.
- Window method (any time): Climb the right side of the manor wall and open a second-floor window — this is NOT trespassing.
- Front door method (Chapter 4+): After completing the “Skilled in Archery” quest with Duane, the guards disappear and you can enter normally.
- Inside, look for the dwarf NPC (“Stranger”) on the first floor — he wears a pink headscarf and has a hammer on his belt. Then report back to Bruna’s Assistant at the Nas River Fishing Dock.
Bruna’s Request looks like a simple errand quest on the surface. And it is — mostly. But when you reach Lioncrest Manor and get shoved aside at the front door, the game gives you very little hint about what to do next. A lot of players either give up, assume it’s bugged, or leave it in their journal for hours wondering when it becomes available.
It’s not bugged. There are two ways in. One works at any time. One requires story progress. This guide covers both, plus every step of the quest from start to finish.
Why bother? Bruna’s Request rewards you with a permanent inventory expansion (Medium Bag), along with Iron Ore, Trust +50, and Hernand Contribution Exp — making it one of the most valuable Faction Quests available in Hernand. Worth completing as soon as it unlocks.

How to Start Bruna’s Request
Bruna’s Request becomes available in Chapter 3 as part of the Hernand Commissions Faction Quests.
- Go to the Notice Board in the City of Hernand and find Bruna’s Poster. If it isn’t showing yet, you may need to complete other prerequisite commissions — specifically Alden’s and Bran’s Requests — or progress further in the main story.
- After reading the poster, travel southeast of Hernand to Serkis Estate and find the Equinsher Saddlery — look for the large horse statue surrounded by small structures near Anvil Hill.
- Speak with Bruna at the Saddlery. She explains she sent a fresh set of tack to a Wainwright and hasn’t heard back — she needs someone to track them down and get feedback.
- Bruna gives you Bruna’s Note. Open your inventory and read it — it points you to the Hernand Stable as your first stop.
Step 1: Visit the Stables and Find the Tack Keeper’s Note
Head to Hernand Stable, located just outside the city walls. The stable is easy to spot — it’s a large barn with horses outside.

- Enter the stable yard and go around the back of the barn.
- You’ll see two soldiers standing nearby. Don’t worry about them — they won’t bother you.
- On top of a barrel behind the barn, there’s a piece of paper. Your minimap will show a purple note symbol to help you locate it.
- Pick up the Tack Keeper’s Note and examine it from your inventory.
- Reading it reveals that the saddler has left for the Royal Trading Post, west of Hernand City.
Your quest marker will update once Kliff finishes reading the note.
Step 2: Locate the Noble at the Royal Trading Post
Travel west of Hernand City to reach the Royal Trading Post. It’s a market area with several tents set up.

- Look for the Noble standing under the right-side tent stand — he’s wearing a distinctive red hat (red beret) that makes him easy to spot. He’ll appear as an orange dot on your minimap.
- Approach and talk to the Noble. He won’t say anything particularly useful. That’s fine.
- Do not move your character while the dialogue is finishing — let the interaction complete naturally.
- Once it wraps up, you’ll automatically receive the Royal Delivery Note.
- Open your inventory and examine the note to push the quest forward.
The note explains that the saddler has moved on to Lioncrest Manor.
Step 3: How to Enter Lioncrest Manor

This is where Bruna’s Request trips most players up. Head to Lioncrest Manor, northeast of Hernand City. When you arrive at the front door, the guards will physically shove Kliff aside and refuse entry — you haven’t built enough reputation with House Celeste yet.
You have two options.
Option A: Climb Through the Second-Floor Window (Available Anytime — Recommended)
This method works from the moment you reach the manor, regardless of your quest progress or reputation.
- Stand at the front of the manor facing the main door.
- Look to the right side of the manor’s exterior wall. You’ll spot windows on the second floor (there are up to three, near the Shot Contest: Bow minigame area).
- Climb the wall up to one of those windows.
- Once you’re at the window, wait for the interaction prompt to appear — it takes a moment to show up, so don’t rush off.
- When the prompt appears, open the window and climb through.
This is the key thing most guides don’t say clearly enough: entering through the window is not trespassing. No bounty. No guards turning hostile. No search circle. You’re free to walk around inside Lioncrest Manor as you please.
Option B: Use the Front Door (Available After Chapter 4 — Slower Route)
The front door guards don’t disappear until you’ve completed the “Skilled in Archery” quest in Chapter 4. That’s the main story mission where you compete in an archery contest for Duane at Lioncrest Manor.
After that quest is done, the guards standing at the main entrance leave their post. You can then walk in through the front door by slipping in behind a servant entering the manor.
If you’re still in Chapter 3, the window is your only option. Don’t wait — use the window and finish the quest now.
Note from PC Gamer’s playthrough: The window method is also a workaround in case of a potential issue where the front door guards persist longer than expected. The window route bypasses this entirely. If you’ve updated to Patch 1.02.00 and the saddler NPC wasn’t appearing inside the manor, this patch fixed an issue where certain quest-related NPCs would not appear.
Step 4: Find the Dwarf NPC (“Stranger”) Inside the Manor
Once inside the manor — whether through the window or the front door — here’s how to find the NPC you need:

- From the window, you’ll enter on the second floor.
- Head toward the main hall and descend the stairs to the first floor.
- On the first floor, you’ll find a dwarf NPC simply named “Stranger”. He’s wearing a pink headscarf with a hammer hanging from his belt — use these to identify him quickly.
- Speak to the Stranger — he provides the feedback on Bruna’s tacks that the quest requires. He’ll confirm that Bruna’s craftsmanship is both durable and flexible.
- Once the conversation ends, your quest objective updates.
Tip: The saddler is right inside the entrance hall of the manor, near the main door. If you entered through the window and walked downstairs, you’ll pass right by him. He’s hard to miss once you’re on the ground floor — just look for the pink headscarf and hammer on the belt.
Step 5: Report Back to Bruna’s Assistant at the Nas River Fishing Dock
With the feedback in hand, follow the updated quest marker to Bruna’s Assistant. She’s located at the Nas River Fishing Dock — travel south from Hernand City to reach the dock area.
- Speak to Bruna’s Assistant and relay the saddler’s feedback.
- The quest completes.
- You receive your rewards: a Medium Bag (permanent inventory expansion), Iron Ore x1, Trust +50, and Hernand Contribution Exp +30.
That’s Bruna’s Request done.

FAQs
Q: How do I enter Lioncrest Manor in Crimson Desert?
A: There are two ways. The fastest method — available at any time — is to climb the right side of the manor exterior and open a second-floor window. Wait for the interaction prompt, climb through, and you’re inside. No bounty, no trespassing. The second method is the front door, which only opens after completing the “Skilled in Archery” quest for Duane in Chapter 4.
Q: Is entering Lioncrest Manor through the window considered trespassing in Crimson Desert?
A: No. Climbing in through the second-floor window does not trigger trespassing, no guards turn hostile, and Kliff gets no bounty. You can freely explore the manor interior once inside.
Q: Where is the Noble at the Royal Trading Post in Bruna’s Request?
A: The Noble is standing under the right-side tent stand at the Royal Trading Post, wearing a distinctive red hat (red beret). He appears as an orange dot on your minimap. Talk to him and let the interaction complete without moving — you’ll receive the Royal Delivery Note automatically.
Q: Where is the dwarf NPC inside Lioncrest Manor in Crimson Desert?
A: After entering the manor, go to the main hall and descend to the first floor. The dwarf NPC, listed simply as “Stranger,” is near the entrance hall on the ground floor. He wears a pink headscarf and has a hammer hanging from his belt — use these to identify him. Speak to him for the tack feedback needed to complete the quest.
Q: What is the reward for completing Bruna’s Request in Crimson Desert?
A: Bruna’s Request rewards you with a Medium Bag (permanent inventory expansion), Iron Ore x1, Trust +50, and Hernand Contribution Exp +30. It’s one of the most valuable Hernand Commissions quests available, which is why it’s worth completing as soon as it unlocks in Chapter 3.
Q: How do I unlock Bruna’s Request in Crimson Desert?
A: Read Bruna’s Poster on the Notice Board in the City of Hernand. If it isn’t showing yet, you may need to complete other prerequisite Hernand Commissions first — specifically Alden’s and Bran’s Requests.
