- Fortnite Runners Exotics currently include three items: Hop Rock Dualies, Exotic SlapBerry Fizz, and Lawless Stink Rifle
- All three drop from Golden Fishing Spots, regular Chests, and Rare Chests, so there’s no fixed spawn point
- These Exotics are part of the Chapter 7 Season 3 Summer Event, live from June 25 through July 9
- After July 9, all three get vaulted, so the window to farm them is short
- Golden Fishing Spots give you the best odds since they can drop Exotics, the Mythic Goldfish, and other rare loot at once
- The Hop Rock Dualies are the best pick if you’re rotating a lot, thanks to the low-gravity effect on hit
- There’s no purchase method this time around, unlike past seasons with Black Markets or Rivalry Machines
Fortnite Runners Exotics are back in the loot pool for the Chapter 7 Season 3 Summer Event, and unlike some past seasons, you can’t buy your way to one. There’s no keycard grind, no currency to farm, no vendor to visit. You just have to get lucky and know where to look. This guide covers all three current Exotics, what they actually do in a fight, and where your odds are best.
All Fortnite Runners Exotics Right Now
As of the Summer Event, there are three Exotic items live in Fortnite Runners. Here’s what each one does.
Hop Rock Dualies

Firing this pistol pair grants the Hop Rock effect, which gives you reduced gravity for a short window. It’s great for dodging shots mid-fight or making an awkward jump feel easy. If you want a deeper breakdown of how the effect stacks and when to use it, check the full Hop Rock Dualies guide.
Exotic SlapBerry Fizz

This one’s a healing item, not a weapon. Drink it and you heal both health and shield at once, plus you get Slap and FlowBerry Fizz effects stacked together. That means infinite stamina and low gravity on top of the heal. It’s one of the strongest all-in-one recovery items in the current loot pool.
Lawless Stink Rifle

This is a Hunting Rifle variant that creates a lingering Stink Cloud wherever your shot lands. Anyone standing in the cloud takes steady health damage over time. It’s a returning name from the Chapter 6 Season 2 Lawless set, just reskinned for this event, so don’t confuse it with a brand-new mechanic.
How to Get Exotics in Fortnite Runners
There’s no vendor, no currency, and no quest chain for these Exotics this time. They drop the same way any rare item does: from Golden Fishing Spots, Chests, and Rare Chests, purely by chance.
Golden Fishing Spots are your best bet. They can drop the Mythic Goldfish and other high-tier loot alongside Exotics, so a single spot can pay off more than a regular chest run. If you’re already fishing for other rare items this season, you’re indirectly farming Exotics too.
Rare Chests are your second-best option. They spawn with a noticeably better loot table than standard chests, and Exotics get pulled into that pool during the event. Regular Chests can still drop them, but the odds are lower, so treat them as a bonus rather than your main strategy.
Best Fortnite Runners Exotic Farming Route
Since none of these are location-locked, your best move is to land somewhere with a high density of Golden Fishing Spots and Rare Chests close together, loot fast, and rotate. Check current POI and loot density before you drop if you want to plan a tighter route. Playing in a squad helps too — splitting up to hit multiple Golden Fishing Spots at once covers far more ground than solo queue.
Best Fortnite Runners Exotic to Get First
If you can only grab one, go for the Hop Rock Dualies. The low-gravity effect is useful in almost every fight, whether you’re closing distance or escaping a bad rotation. The SlapBerry Fizz is the strongest pick if you’re pushing a tough boss fight and need sustain, since it heals both bars and gives you mobility on top. The Stink Rifle is more situational — it shines when you’re pushing someone in cover or holding a chokepoint, but it’s the weakest pick if you’re playing aggressively.
When Do Fortnite Runners Exotics Get Vaulted
All three Exotics are tied to the Summer Event window, which runs from June 25 at 4 AM ET to July 9. After that date, expect all three to disappear from the loot pool along with the other event unvaults. If you want to use them before they’re gone, this is a limited window, not a permanent addition.
Fortnite Runners Exotics FAQ
Can you buy Exotics in Fortnite Runners?
No. Unlike past seasons that used Black Markets or Rivalry Gear Machines, this season’s Exotics are pure RNG drops from Golden Fishing Spots and Chests.
Are Fortnite Runners Exotics one per lobby?
Exotic items in Fortnite have historically been limited to one copy per player rather than per lobby, though availability can shift between updates. Treat any Exotic you find as a rare pickup, not something guaranteed to be sitting untouched.
Do Fortnite Runners Exotics disappear after the Summer Event?
Yes. All three current Exotics are scheduled to be vaulted once the Summer Event ends on July 9.
