Buying a house in Neverness To Everness is one of the best things you can do early in the game. It is not just for decoration. Your home raises your Comfort Value, which directly feeds into your City Tycoon level progression. And the higher your Tycoon level, the better the rewards and content you unlock. This guide covers everything you need — the requirements, where to go, what to buy, and what you get out of it.
What Is the Property System in NTE?
Properties in NTE are apartments, villas, and mansions you can own and live in across Hethereau. They act as your personal hub in the game. You can decorate them, place Anomaly Furniture for passive stat boosts, and invite your favorite Esper characters to stay with you.
But here is the part most new players miss — your home is also a progression tool. Furnishing and developing your property increases its Comfort Value. That Comfort Value is one of the key requirements for leveling up your City Tycoon rank, which unlocks a huge amount of content across the game.
You can play NTE on PC, PS5, Android, and iOS. Download it from the official NTE website, Google Play, or the PlayStation Store.
Requirements To Buy A House In NTE
You cannot buy a house from the very beginning. There are two main things you need to do first.
1. Unlock City Tycoon
The entire property system is locked behind City Tycoon. To unlock it, follow the main story until you reach the Good Morning Hethereau quest. This happens right after you clear the anomaly in the photo studio. Talk to Adler, then head to Bridge Crossing Plaza where you will meet Chiz. She introduces you to the City Tycoon system and gets the whole thing started.
After meeting Chiz, complete the guide commission A Stroke of Luck along with the Good Business, Better Treasure quests. Once these are done, City Tycoon fully unlocks and you can start leveling up your rank. For a deeper look at the Tycoon system, check out our NTE City Tycoon Guide.
2. Reach City Tycoon Level 5
The property purchase feature only becomes available at City Tycoon Level 5. To get there, you need to earn Fons and complete specific tutorial quests. At Rank 4, the game unlocks a tutorial mission called Coffee Curator. Finishing that quest pushes you to Rank 5, which activates the Property tab in your City Tycoon menu.
You earn Fons by running your cafe, completing Hethereau Hobbies, daily commissions, and exploring the city. The good news is that Fons are cumulative — the game tracks every Fon you have ever earned, not just your current balance. So spending Fons on other things does not set back your Tycoon rank progress.

How To Buy A House In NTE — Step By Step
Once you hit City Tycoon Level 5, here is exactly how to buy your first property:
- Open the City Tycoon menu from your main interface.
- Go to the Property tab inside the menu.
- Head to a Leon Estate Group building on the map. These appear as yellow building icons. The first one is located near Moomin Street in Bridge Crossings.
- Talk to the real estate agent inside (Monica).
- Select Wiener Apartments from the property list.
- Confirm you have at least 200,000 Fons in your balance.
- Tap Purchase and confirm.
The game will deduct the Fons and register the apartment under your owned properties immediately. You can then visit your new home anytime.
All Properties You Can Buy In NTE
There are currently five properties available in Neverness To Everness at launch. Each one requires a higher City Tycoon rank and costs significantly more Fons. Here is a quick overview:
- Wiener Apartments — First property available. Requires City Tycoon Rank 5. Costs 200,000 Fons. Located in Little Banyan Road North, Illusion Town. Supports 1 guest invitation.
- Eden Apartments — Unlocks at a higher Tycoon rank. A step up from Wiener in space and comfort value.
- Skyview Halls — Available at an even higher rank. Premium apartment with more Anomaly Furniture slots.
- Golden Capital — High-end property for advanced players. Requires significant Tycoon progression.
- Fenglin Villa — The most expensive property in the game. A full villa with the highest Fons cost. For players deep into Tycoon progression.
There is no limit to how many properties you can own. You can purchase and visit all of them. Each one adds to your Comfort Value and gives you access to different Anomaly Furniture slots and guest invitations.

What Is Anomaly Furniture and Why Does It Matter?
Once you own a property, you can place Anomaly Furniture inside it. These are special items dropped by anomalies around Hethereau. They are not just decorative — each one gives you a passive buff that works outside of City Tycoon too.
For example, placing boxing gloves gives you a boost to critical damage in combat. A phone item lets you teleport straight back to your apartment. Some furniture reduces stamina costs for climbing buildings. These bonuses stack and can make a real difference in how your character performs. Check out our Neverness To Everness Anomaly Furniture Guide for the full breakdown.
Placing any furniture also raises your Comfort Value, which is one of the main ways you level up your City Tycoon rank beyond the early stages.

How To Invite Espers To Your House In NTE
One of the best features of owning a property is being able to invite Espers to live with you. To do this:
- Reach Bond Level 4 with the Esper you want to invite.
- Open the apartment menu and tap the character icon at the top of the screen.
- Choose your Esper and send the invitation.
Each property has a limited number of invitation slots. Wiener Apartments only supports one guest at a time. Higher-tier properties allow more guests. Interacting with an Esper inside your apartment also increases their affection, which helps you build their bond further and unlock special Bond Quests.
Building affinity with Espers is also tied to progress in other areas of the game, so using your apartment regularly is worth it.
How To Get Fons Fast To Buy A House
200,000 Fons is a big number early in the game. Here are the best ways to build up your Fons quickly:
- Run your Cafe — Your cafe earns Fons passively, even when you are offline. Set it up as early as possible. Check our NTE Cafe Guide to get started.
- Hethereau Hobbies — Every City Stamina point you spend on any hobby earns you 1,000 Fons. Learn more in our Hethereau Hobbies Guide.
- Daily Commissions — Complete your commissions every day for a steady income.
- Explore Hethereau — Discovering areas and completing side content rewards Fons along the way.
- Small shops around the city — Purchase from vendors for resale opportunities in the Tycoon system.
Remember — you do not need to hold 200,000 Fons all at once. The Tycoon rank-up system tracks cumulative Fons earned, not your current wallet. So you can spend Fons freely without hurting your rank progression.
How To Furnish Your House In NTE
After buying your property, you will want to furnish it right away. Furniture raises Comfort Value, which is critical for continuing your Tycoon rank progression. Here is how to get furniture:
- Buy from DeLuxur Decor shops (couch icon on the map) using Fons.
- Pick up decorative pieces from Vending Machines around the city.
- Complete certain quests that reward furniture items.
- Collect Anomaly Furniture by defeating anomalies across Hethereau.
To place furniture in your home, fast travel to your property and press the arrow icon at the top of the screen to enter decoration mode. Place items freely and watch your Comfort Value climb.
