How to Get Pet Accessories and Equipment in Crimson Desert

Pet accessories and equipment in Crimson Desert are sold at two vendor types — here's every shop location, what they sell, and how to equip gear on your pets.

Pet accessories and equipment in Crimson Desert can be bought from dedicated pet vendors. There are three sources in total — two tailor shops and one wandering secret merchant. All items are cosmetic only. Here is everything you need to know.

  • Pet gear is sold at Milou’s Tailor Shop in Pororin Village and a second shop in Demeniss
  • A wandering merchant called Lacey sells pet accessories (added in patch 1.04)
  • You need to own a pet before the shops will show any items
  • Pororin Village requires completing The Unreachable Village and Authorized Access quests
  • Pet equipment is purely cosmetic — no stat bonuses
  • Each pet has three slots: Helm, Outfit, and Accessory
  • Equip gear via Inventory → Pets tab

What Is Pet Equipment in Crimson Desert?

Pet equipment lets you dress up your companion animals — dogs and cats — with hats, outfits, and accessories. None of the items give any combat stats. Pets do not fight or take damage, so all gear is purely for looks.

Each pet can wear up to three items at once. There is one slot for a helm, one for an outfit, and one for an accessory. The accessory slot was added with patch 1.04 and includes items that change how your pet behaves, such as the Sigil of Bonding.

Cat items can only be equipped on cats. Dog items can only be equipped on dogs. If a piece of gear is greyed out in your inventory, it belongs to the other pet type.

The shops will not show any pet gear until you own at least one pet. You need to earn a stray animal’s trust and raise it to 100 before it becomes your companion. If you need a pet first, check out our guide on how to get a pet in Crimson Desert.

How to Unlock the Pet Equipment Shops

The main pet shop is in Pororin Village, which is locked behind a short quest chain. Here is how to unlock it.

Step 1: Attempt to Enter Pororin Village Three Times

Pororin Village is inaccessible at first. Try to walk in three separate times. On the third attempt, the game will trigger a quest.

Step 2: Complete The Unreachable Village Quest

This faction quest becomes available after your third failed entry attempt. You need to retrieve the Relic of Pororin from Offin, a sentient roaming tree, and return it to the quest giver, Arkin. We have a full Unreachable Village quest guide if you get stuck.

Step 3: Complete Authorized Access

After finishing The Unreachable Village, you will receive the Authorized Access quest. Complete this to gain full, permanent access to Pororin Village.

Once inside, the pet shops will be open to you.

Where to Find Milou’s Pet Tailor Shop (Pororin Village)

Milou runs the main pet equipment shop in Crimson Desert. The shop is officially called Pets – Tailor’s Shop. You will find it in the northern section of Pororin Village, inside a building.

This is the only shop with the full range of items for both cats and dogs. Milou sells every helm and outfit in the game. Increasing your trust with Milou by gifting her favourite items will unlock additional stock over time.

Note that Milou does not have a secret inventory that unlocks at maximum trust, unlike some other merchants in the game.

Where to Find the Demeniss Pet Shop

There is a second, smaller Pets – Tailor’s Shop located in the southwestern part of the City of Demeniss, near the castle. You can access this shop around Chapter 8 of the main story.

This shop has a limited selection. It stocks the Rescue Puppy Outfit and Puppy Plate Armor for dogs, but does not carry any cat items. If you are early in the game, some of the soldiers in Demeniss may still be hostile when you arrive, so be cautious when exploring.

For the full range of cat gear and all dog gear, Milou’s shop in Pororin is the better option.

Where to Find Lacey — The Wandering Pet Accessories Merchant

Lacey is a secret wandering merchant added in the patch 1.04.00 update. She sells pet accessories, including the Sigil of Bonding.

Lacey does not have a fixed position. She roams around the Florindale area and near the Petalton Workshop in Pororin. She is a small NPC dressed in green with an oversized backpack. The backpack is the easiest way to spot her from a distance.

To find her, walk the stone paths that connect the different sections of Pororin Village. She sticks to these paths. Patrol the area slowly and look for the large pack on her back. Her green outfit blends with the environment, so it takes a little patience.

When you find her, interact with her to open the Secret Shop – Buy interface. Her current stock focuses on pet consumables and the Sigil of Bonding accessory. You can increase trust with Lacey by gifting her Palmar Leaves, which may unlock better items over time.

All Pet Equipment — Full List

There are 11 pet equipment items in total. Six are for cats and five are for dogs. Each item costs 2.40 Silver at the shop.

Cat Headgear

  • Visionette — A small headpiece for cats. Cat-exclusive.
  • Uniform Cat Hat — Part of the Uniform Set. A feathered wide-brim hat.

Cat Outfits

  • Uniform Cat Outfit — Pairs with the Uniform Cat Hat. A caped outfit with an engraved neckpiece.
  • Neckerchief — A simple cloth accessory around the neck. Cat-only.

Dog Headgear

  • Puppy Plate Helm — Part of the Plate Set. A small armour-style helmet for dogs.

Dog Outfits

  • Puppy Plate Armor — Pairs with the Puppy Plate Helm. Plate armour-style body gear.
  • Rescue Puppy Outfit — Available at both Pororin and Demeniss shops.

Pet Accessories (Lacey’s Shop)

  • Sigil of Bonding — Equipping this lets your cat cling to your body while moving. It works during combat, climbing, and horseback riding. This solves the desync issue where pets fall behind during fast movement.
  • Palmar Pills — A consumable item for pet management. Also sold here by Lacey.

If you want to learn more about Palmar Pills and how they work, see our Palmar Pills guide.

How to Equip Pet Gear

Once you have purchased any pet item, follow these steps to put it on your companion.

  1. Open your Inventory menu.
  2. Switch to the Pets tab at the top of the screen.
  3. Select the pet you want to equip the item on.
  4. Find the gear piece in your inventory list.
  5. Select it and choose Equip.

You can mix and match headgear and outfits. Equipping a full set is not required. To remove a piece, go back to the Pets tab and unequip it from the same slot. The item will return to your inventory.

Remember that cat items only work on cats and dog items only work on dogs. If a piece appears greyed out, it is likely the wrong pet type.

Tips for Getting Pet Gear Early

The Demeniss shop is accessible earlier in the story than Pororin. If you are around Chapter 8, head to the southwestern part of Demeniss to grab the basic dog items without waiting for the Pororin quests.

For cat owners, you will need Pororin Village. Focus on completing The Unreachable Village quest as soon as it becomes available.

To unlock more items at Milou’s shop, gift her favourite items regularly. Trust-building with merchants works the same across all vendors in the game. Check out our guide on how to gain trust with merchants for more detail.
