What Is the Wardrobe?
The Wardrobe is a clothing-exclusive storage chest added in Patch 1.04. It is one of four new housing items introduced in that update, alongside the Kuku Cooler (food storage), the Collectibles Chest (key items), and the Sturdy Gatherables Chest (crafting materials).
Unlike your main inventory and Private Storage, the Wardrobe holds only armour sets, outfits, and clothing accessories. Items placed inside it do not take up any inventory space whatsoever. Even better, you can equip outfits directly from the Wardrobe interface — you do not need to pull them into your inventory first. If you are switching between armour builds for different encounters, or simply collecting sets for fashion, the Wardrobe makes it completely painless.
Before Patch 1.04, all furniture in player homes was purely decorative. The Wardrobe looked like a wardrobe but did nothing. The update converted it into a functional storage system — a change the community had been requesting since launch.
Where to Buy Wardrobes in Crimson Desert
Wardrobes are sold exclusively by Edmon, the furniture vendor at the Timberton Furniture Shop in Timberton, Delesyia — just north of the Eastern Hills in the Delesyia region. No other furniture vendor in the game sells them, so this is the only place to buy them.
Edmon wears a green tunic and stands near the town entrance. He sells two styles:
- Large Dark Timberton Wardrobe — 15 Silver Coins
- Large Bright Timberton Wardrobe — 15 Silver Coins
Both styles are purely cosmetic — they hold the same 100 slots each. Buy whichever matches your house décor, or mix them. You can buy as many as you want in a single visit. If you plan to stack up to the maximum of ten, it is worth buying them all at once rather than making multiple trips.
To reach Timberton from Hernand, take the road that leads west of Hernand and pass through Serpent Valley into Delesyia. The town is relatively accessible and you can travel there even without having progressed far into the Delesyia region.
How to Unlock Wardrobe Sales at Your Camp
Making repeated trips to Delesyia gets tedious once you are deep into the game. You can unlock the convenience of buying Wardrobes directly from your Howling Hill Greymane Camp shop by building Trust with Edmon.
Step 1 — Unlock the Camp Furniture Shop First
Before the camp shop can stock Wardrobes, you need the Furniture Shop at the Greymane Camp to be active. This unlocks by completing Howling Hill and House Alfonso faction quests, then doing a simple Gathering Dispatch Mission from the camp. A follow-up quest to investigate a Greymane rumour in Hernand completes the process and opens the camp Furniture Shop.
Step 2 — Build Trust with Edmon in Delesyia
Visit Edmon at the Timberton Furniture Shop and gift him Copper Pouches repeatedly to raise your Trust level with him. You need to reach +100 Trust. Copper Pouches can be traded for at various vendors or gathered as loot — stock up before making the trip. Step 3 — Buy the Contract
Once Trust reaches 100, Edmon will stock a Contract item in his inventory. Purchase it from him.
Step 4 — Return to Howling Hill
With the Contract in hand, return to your Greymane Camp Furniture Shop at Howling Hill. Wardrobes will now appear in the shop’s stock permanently. You can buy them here for all future purchases without ever returning to Delesyia.
How to Place the Wardrobe in Your House
Wardrobes are placed in your Hernand Residence — the house just to the east of Howling Hill Camp, across the bridge. This is the personal house that unlocks in Chapter 3. Here is how to place your Wardrobe:
- Enter your Hernand Residence through the front door
- Press Options / Start (controller) or the equivalent on PC to enter Build Mode
- Press Square / X to open your Placeable Items menu
- Find the Wardrobe in the list and select it
- Position it where you want inside the house — make sure the green arrow on the front of the Wardrobe faces an open direction so you can actually open and interact with it after placing
- Confirm the placement
- Press Options / Start again to exit Build Mode
Once placed, walk up to the Wardrobe and interact with it to open the storage interface. You can now begin storing clothing items inside it.
How to Use the Wardrobe
Approach your placed Wardrobe and press the interact button. This opens the Wardrobe interface, which shows all three characters — Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka — filtered by character tab. The slot pool is shared across all three, so a Wardrobe with 100 slots can hold 100 outfits in total across any combination of the three characters.
From this interface you can:
- Store armour sets, outfits, helmets, cloaks, and clothing accessories directly from your inventory
- Equip outfits directly from inside the Wardrobe without moving items to your inventory first
- Switch between character tabs to manage each character’s stored clothing separately
- Retrieve items back to your inventory at any time
This is particularly useful if you maintain multiple armour builds — for example, a damage build and a tank build — and want to swap between them quickly without carrying both sets in your inventory at all times.
How Many Wardrobes Can You Place?
You can place up to 10 Wardrobes in your Hernand Residence. Each one adds 100 slots to the shared clothing storage pool. Here is how the total slots scale:
- 1 Wardrobe — 100 outfit slots
- 2 Wardrobes — 200 outfit slots
- 5 Wardrobes — 500 outfit slots
- 10 Wardrobes — 1,000 outfit slots (maximum)
At 15 Silver per Wardrobe, buying all ten costs 150 Silver Coins total — a reasonable investment for a permanent 1,000-slot clothing storage. For most players, three to five Wardrobes will be more than enough, but if you collect many armour sets across the three characters, the full ten is worth the outlay.

- Face the green arrow toward open space when placing — if the door faces a wall, you cannot interact with the Wardrobe after placing it
- Build Trust with Edmon early — gifting Copper Pouches consistently is the easiest path to unlocking camp delivery, which saves all future travel time
- Use separate Wardrobes for different purposes — for example, one for Kliff’s damage builds, one for Damiane’s outfits, one for armour sets you want to keep but rarely use
- Equip directly from the Wardrobe instead of moving items to inventory first — this keeps your inventory clean and saves several menu steps per swap
