About Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert is Pearl Abyss’s open-world action adventure set on the war-torn continent of Pywel — a sprawling 90km² world packed with mythical creatures, ancient ruins, warring factions, and secrets hiding around every corner.

You start as Kliff Macduff, leader of the Greymanes mercenaries, whose company is decimated by a devastating ambush from their rivals the Black Bears. The story follows Kliff’s journey to reunite his comrades, rebuild the Greymanes, and confront a threat that runs far deeper than he expected. As you progress, two more playable characters join: Damiane in Chapter 3, a swift rapier fighter, and Oongka in Chapter 7, a powerhouse bruiser who dual-wields massive two-handed weapons.

Crimson Desert launched on March 19, 2026, and is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It is a single-player experience with no MMO mechanics — just pure open-world exploration, intense combat, and a dense story that keeps unfolding the further you push into Pywel.

Combat & Skills

Crimson Desert has a deep, layered combat system. Parrying, dodging, elemental imbuing, and skill combos all matter — especially against harder enemies and bosses.
