If you use ranged combat in Crimson Desert, running out of arrows mid-fight is a real problem. Replenishing Arrows fix that by giving you a self-restoring supply of standard arrows that refill on their own over time. They are not infinite, but they are renewable — and once you understand how they work, they become a solid part of any archer build.

The catch is that getting them takes a bit of effort. There is a locked village, a quest chain, a giant walking tree, and a research system all standing between you and your first batch. This guide walks through every step.

What Are Replenishing Arrows

Replenishing Arrows are a special arrow item in Crimson Desert. They look like standard arrows, work exactly like standard arrows in combat, but they regenerate over time after being used.

Here is the important thing to understand — the infinity symbol on the item icon is misleading. These are not actually infinite. You get a set amount, and when you fire them, the count goes down. One arrow comes back every 10 seconds until you hit your cap. If you fire all of them, the item temporarily disappears from your inventory. Do not panic when that happens. It will return once the cooldown passes and arrows start regenerating again.

Your starting cap is 10 arrows. After completing your second Research at the Pororin Institute, that jumps to 25. The cap keeps growing as you level up the research tree.

Step 1: Unlock Pororin Village

Replenishing Arrows are locked behind Pororin Village, and Pororin Village is locked behind a quest called The Unreachable Village. You cannot skip this step.

Pororin Village is located southeast of Hernand, past Howling Hill and the Greymane Camp. The closest landmarks are the Goldleaf Guildhouse and the Sanctum of Temperance. It sits on the northern side of a secluded lake.

When you try to enter, a pair of Shai residents shoot a sleep dart at you and drag you back out. This happens every single time, no matter which direction you approach from. There is no secret entrance or way around it.

Here is what you need to do:

Try to enter the village and get knocked out. Do it again. Do it a third time. After the third time you wake up, a Shai resident named Arkin — wearing a yellow robe — will call out to you. Talk to her to trigger The Unreachable Village quest.

Arkin explains that the village’s precious relic — the chief’s hat — is missing, and it’s sitting on top of a giant walking tree. She asks you to retrieve it in exchange for village access.

Follow the quest marker east of Pororin Village. Go north first to get past the village area, then head east. You will find Arkin again on a small hill. After a short dialogue, a giant walking tree creature appears in the area. If the tree doesn’t show up after a couple of minutes, fast travel away and back.

Climb the tree using its arms rather than its legs — the arms give you better footing. Work your way up to the head and grab the Pororin Relic. Jump off, return to Arkin, hand it over, and the quest is done.

You now have permanent access to Pororin Village.

Step 2: Complete the Herbs of Vitality Quest

Once inside Pororin Village, cross the bridge over the lake to reach the Petalton Workshop. This is where the Research Institute is located. Head inside and talk to Lumiel, the young researcher standing behind the counter.

Lumiel will give you the Herbs of Vitality quest. She needs herbs to make an energising potion. The task is simple — find five Lavender flowers in a nearby field and bring them back to her.

Follow the quest marker to the field. Pick five Lavender plants. Return to Lumiel and hand them over to complete the quest.

This unlocks the next step — the Natural Harmony Research.

Step 3: Start the Natural Harmony Research

With Herbs of Vitality done, talk to Lumiel again and select Research Request from her dialogue options. You will see several research options. The one you want is Natural Harmony Research — it is the first option on the far left.

Cost: 1.10 Silver Time to complete: 2 in-game hours (roughly 10 real-life minutes)

Confirm the research and it begins. You do not need to sit and wait. There is a bed in the Research Institute behind Lumiel — you can sleep in it to skip the in-game time and fast-forward to completion.

Once the timer is done, go back to Lumiel, open the Research Request menu, and select Research Completed. You will receive two rewards:

  • Replenishing Arrows — your new self-regenerating arrow supply
  • Shadowleaf Disguise Blueprint — a crafting recipe you can use separately

How to Use Replenishing Arrows

Using them is simple. Equip the Replenishing Arrows in your arrow equipment slot just like any standard arrow. You can also switch between arrow types using the weapons radial menu during combat.

In practice, treat them as your default arrow for general combat. When your supply runs low, switch to standard arrows or special arrows to keep the pressure up while the Replenishing Arrows regenerate in the background.

One arrow comes back every 10 seconds. If you deplete all of them at once, the item vanishes from your inventory temporarily. It will reappear after the cooldown. This confuses a lot of players into thinking there is a bug — it is just the mechanic working as intended.

Speaking of bugs, there is a known issue where Replenishing Arrows stop regenerating entirely after certain conditions. If yours stop coming back completely after an extended period, try reloading your save. The community has flagged this as a bug that may get patched in future updates.

How to Increase Your Replenishing Arrow Cap

Your starting cap is 10 arrows. The cap increases as you level up the Pororin Research Institute by completing more research projects with Lumiel.

After your second completed Research, the cap rises to 25. Each additional Research tier continues to expand it. This makes regularly returning to Lumiel worth your time — even if you don’t need the specific item rewards, expanding your arrow cap is a meaningful upgrade for ranged builds.

The Research Institute also unlocks other useful items like Palmar Pills, which revive your comrades in tough fights. Check our guide on how to get and use Palmar Pills in Crimson Desert for more on that.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Replenishing Arrows

Pace your shots. Since arrows regenerate one at a time every 10 seconds, rapid firing will drain your supply fast. Take deliberate shots in combat rather than spamming.

Keep standard arrows in reserve. When your Replenishing Arrows run dry mid-fight, your weapon will automatically switch to the next available arrow type. Make sure you have regular arrows equipped as a backup so you do not end up firing expensive special arrows by accident.

Use the bed in the Research Institute. When you start the Natural Harmony Research, just sleep in the nearby bed to skip the 10-minute wait. No need to wander around and come back.

Prioritise upgrading the Research tier. Getting from 10 to 25 arrows makes a noticeable difference in how long you can sustain ranged combat without restocking.

Combine with the Claw Fishing Rod route. If you are heading to the Pororin area, it is worth picking up multiple unlockables in the same trip. Check our guide on how to get the Claw Fishing Rod which is also available in the early-game region.

Is It Worth Getting Replenishing Arrows

Yes, especially if you use a bow regularly. The time investment is not that long. Unlocking Pororin Village is worth doing regardless for the Research Institute, the Dyehouse, and the Children of the Woods quest that follows. The Replenishing Arrows are just one of the better rewards that come with it.

They will not replace high-capacity arrow farming entirely, but they reduce the frequency with which you need to restock — and in long exploration sessions or boss fights, that convenience adds up.
