All 75 Bosses & Locations in Crimson Desert
TL;DR
- Crimson Desert has 75 bosses tracked in your Knowledge tab, plus a couple of secret ones like Goyen and Master Du that don’t appear in the journal.
- Bosses are split across 6 regions: Hernand (16), Pailune (13), Demeniss (16), Delesyia (9), the Crimson Desert region (8), and continent-wide/Abyss encounters.
- There are also 3 Overwhelming Beings — the hardest fights in the entire game.
- Most bosses drop Abyss Artifacts, unique weapons, and can unlock signature abilities.
- Both main story bosses and optional faction/exploration bosses are included.
Crimson Desert is packed with bosses. There are 75 of them tracked inside the in-game Knowledge tab, spread across every region of the continent of Pywel. Some you’ll fight naturally through the main story. Others are hidden behind faction quests, optional exploration, or deep in corners of the map you’d never find without a guide.
A couple of bosses — Goyen and Master Du — don’t show up in the Knowledge tab at all, even after you defeat them. Keep that in mind if you’re going for full completion.
This guide lists all 75 tracked bosses by region with their location and associated quest. For more on individual fights, check out our full Crimson Desert hub page which has dedicated boss guides for most of the major encounters.

General Boss Tips Before You Start
Every boss fight in Crimson Desert is balanced around the assumption that you’re using food to heal. You can open your inventory during a fight and eat without pausing your dodge window, so always carry a large stack — at least 100 Grilled Meat or similar healing food before any serious encounter. Our guide on how to cook the best healing food in Crimson Desert is a great starting point.
Most bosses have a unique mechanic tied to them. If you’re struggling, read the on-screen quest objectives during the fight — they often hint at the mechanic you’re missing. Force Palm staggers most humanoid bosses when timed right, interrupting their heaviest attacks and giving you a window to combo. Abyss Artifacts are the primary reward from boss kills and are used to upgrade Kliff’s health, stamina, and spirit — so you’ll want to farm as many as possible. Check out our guide on how to get Abyss Cells to keep leveling up between fights.
Hernand Bosses (16 Total)

Boss Rewards — What You Get
Every named boss in Crimson Desert drops at least one Abyss Artifact for upgrading Kliff’s core stats. Many also drop the unique weapon they were carrying during the fight — these come with rare Abyss Cores already fitted that you can’t easily find elsewhere. Notable drops include the Sword of the Lord from Kailok, the Tauria Curved Sword from Crowcaller, and the Earthsplitter from Stonewalker Antiquum.
