The Sanctorum of Darkness is one of the Abyss puzzles you’ll face in Crimson Desert as part of the long Sleet Isles island chain. It comes right after the Path of Trials — the same area where you earned the Frost skill — so you’re already deep in the Abyss at this point.

The good news? This puzzle is not as hard as it looks. Once you know what to do with the battery and the lasers, it clicks fast. Here’s the full walkthrough.

Where Is the Sanctorum of Darkness?

The Sanctorum of Darkness sits on a floating island in the Sleet Isles section of the Abyss. You reach it by working through the full island chain that starts at the Spire of Ringing Truth.

The chain goes in this order:

Ether Rest → Frostbitten Paradise → Path of Trials (Frost Mantle reward) → Sanctorum of Darkness → Loop of Life → Tree of Slumber (Flame Strike reward)

You can’t skip to it directly. You must complete each island before unlocking the next Abyss Gate. If you’ve just finished Path of Trials, the gate to the Sanctorum of Darkness is right ahead of you.

How to Complete the Sanctorum of Darkness Puzzle in Crimson Desert

The Sanctorum of Darkness has two parts. First, you retrieve a battery from below the main floor. Then, you power both laser machines and aim them at two crystals. That’s the whole puzzle.

Part 1: Get the Battery from Below the Floor

From the fast travel point, head down to the lower level of the Sanctorum of Darkness.

In the center of the room, you’ll see a large metallic circle on the floor.
Climb onto the circle, then hold L2 to grip the surface.
While gripping, press R3 to use Force Palm. This sends you down through it and into the hidden room below.
Inside, you’ll spot a battery frozen in a block of ice.
Use Axiom Force (move the Right Stick) to pull the battery free from the ice.
With Axiom Force still active, push the battery upward through the now-open hatch in the ceiling.

Part 2: Place the Battery in the West Slot

Once you’re back on the main floor with the battery:

Carry the battery to the west side of the room.
You’ll find an empty battery slot on the wall there.
Place the battery into the slot, then hit it with Force Palm to lock it in.

This activates the second laser machine. Now both lasers in the north area of the room are live.

Part 3: Aim the Lasers at the Crystals

This is the part that confuses most players. You need to aim each laser at a yellow crystal to turn it blue.

Walk to the back of one of the laser machines.
Use Axiom Force to grab onto the laser from the back.
Use the D-Pad to rotate and angle the laser beam.
Aim the beam directly at one of the yellow crystals on the far side of the room.
Repeat the same process for the second laser on the other crystal.

Once both crystals are hit by their laser beams, they’ll turn blue. Hold that position for a few seconds.

Part 4: Activate the Abyss Panel

Once both crystals are lit up and blue:

The turbines will begin to spin on their own — this means you’ve done it correctly.
Look for the Abyss panel on the opposite side of the room.
Hit the Abyss panel with Force Palm to complete the puzzle.

The Sanctorum of Darkness is now solved.
