TL;DR
- The Azure Moon Labyrinth is an Abyss Cresset found at Phoniel Ranch in The Witchwoods.
- The entrance is hidden at the middle of a question mark symbol on the map — look for a structure with a ladder and head down.
- Get past a fire-shooting obstacle course to reach the puzzle room.
- You need to press exactly five correct buttons out of eight available symbols.
- Press the wrong five and the puzzle resets — but you can press them in any order.
- The solution is found in Pororin Village, unlocked through the Unreachable Village quest.
- Rewards include an Abyss Artifact and the Memory of Tide, which reveals knowledge about the Echoing Waves Cave.
The Azure Moon Labyrinth is one of the trickier Ancient Ruins puzzles in Crimson Desert. It is not just the puzzle itself that causes confusion — finding the entrance is half the battle. The entry point is hidden, the obstacle course inside is unusual, and the button puzzle has eight symbols with no obvious hints nearby.
This guide walks you through everything. Where to enter, how to get through the obstacle course, and exactly which five buttons to press.

How to Find the Azure Moon Labyrinth Entrance in The Witchwoods
The entrance to the Azure Moon Labyrinth is located at Phoniel Ranch in The Witchwoods. On your map, the area appears as a question mark symbol. That shape is your clue.

Here is how to get in:
- Go to the middle of the question mark on the map.
- Look for an area that appears abandoned.
- Find a structure with a ladder on it.
- Climb down the ladder beneath the structure.
- You will arrive at the Azure Moon Labyrinth entrance.

This entrance is easy to miss. Most players walk right past it because nothing about the structure screams dungeon entrance. If you are struggling to find it, focus on the centre of the question mark shape and look low — the ladder goes underground.

How to Get Through the Obstacle Course
Once inside, you will face a short obstacle course before you reach the puzzle room. There is a device in here that shoots fire. You need to get past it without taking too much damage.
There are a few ways through:
- Climb along the sides to avoid the fire entirely.
- Jump across the gaps when the fire pauses.
- Glide and dive to get over sections quickly.
There is no single correct method. Use whatever approach feels natural to you. The same applies for the second platform — run and jump, or glide and dive. Either works.
Once past the obstacle course, keep moving forward. You will eventually hit a locked gate. Pull the lever next to it to open the gate. Head through and you will enter the Azure Moon Labyrinth puzzle room.
Azure Moon Labyrinth Puzzle Solution
The puzzle room has eight symbol buttons on the walls. You need to press exactly five correct ones. Press five wrong ones and the puzzle resets. Thankfully, the order does not matter — you can press the correct five buttons in any sequence, which saves a lot of time if you are working it out manually.

Here are the five buttons to press:
- The button that looks like a letter P with three lines — this one is near the gate protecting the Abyss Cresset. Start here.
- The normal letter P.
- The P with one line — this is right next to the normal P button.
- Go to the other side of the room and press the button that looks like the letter F.
- Press the button immediately to the right of the F button — it looks like a letter E with a long tail.
Press those five and the gate unlocks automatically. A second door also opens at this point. It leads directly outside, so you do not have to go back through the obstacle course. You may have already spotted this door when you were searching for the entrance at Phoniel Ranch.

Where to Find the Puzzle Solution In-Game
You do not have to guess the solution. The game actually tells you — but the hint is hidden somewhere you might not have visited yet.
The solution to the Azure Moon Labyrinth puzzle is found in Pororin Village. To access this village, you first need to complete the Unreachable Village quest in Crimson Desert. Our full Unreachable Village quest guide covers how to unlock and complete it.
If you have not done that quest yet, you can still use the button solution above to clear the puzzle now and visit Pororin later.

Azure Moon Labyrinth Rewards
Once the gate opens, head inside the Abyss Cresset and collect your rewards:
Abyss Artifact — A valuable item tied to the Abyss Gear system. See our guide on how to open sealed Abyss Artifacts to get the most out of it, and check the Witch’s Abyss Gears guide for the full picture on this system.
Memory of Tide — Use this item and it gives you knowledge about the Echoing Waves Cave. This is important for progression in The Witchwoods area, so do not ignore it.
Tips for This Puzzle
- Start at the button near the gate — the P with three lines — and work outward from there.
- If the puzzle resets, it means you hit five wrong buttons. Just try again using the solution above.
- Complete the Unreachable Village quest to find the in-game hint at Pororin Village.
- The door that opens after you solve the puzzle leads outside. Use it — it saves time.
- Make sure you collect both rewards inside the Abyss Cresset before leaving. It is easy to grab one and miss the other.
