TL;DR
- Frostbitten Paradise is the second Abyss puzzle in the Sleet Isles, right after Ether Rest.
- The puzzle revolves around Lightning Cubes and batteries — place them correctly to unlock each door.
- You need Axiom Force, Force Palm, and Blinding Flash to complete this one.
- At the end, a Jump + Force Palm on the circular platform activates the Abyss Gate.
- Finishing rewards you with another Abyss Artifact.
The Frostbitten Paradise Abyss puzzle comes right after Ether Rest in the Sleet Isles chain. The name sounds peaceful. It is not.
This puzzle introduces Lightning Cubes — glowing blocks that shoot beams into yellow crystals to unlock doors. You will also deal with floating batteries, crawl spaces, and a tricky Blinding Flash escape at the end. It is longer than Ether Rest, but totally doable once you know the order.
Before you dive in, make sure you have Axiom Force unlocked and Blinding Flash ready. You cannot finish this puzzle without both.

Before You Enter
When you first arrive at the Frostbitten Paradise entrance, there is a Lightning Cube waiting near the door. Pick it up with Axiom Force and place it down so it faces the yellow crystal. This opens the puzzle and lets you step inside. Do not skip this — the door stays shut without it.
How to Complete the Frostbitten Paradise Abyss Puzzle in Crimson Desert
Step 1 – Access the Lower Level

As you walk into the first room, look to your left. There is a platform sitting opposite a battery on the wall.
- Stand on the platform. This triggers a hatch to open in the floor below you.
- Jump down into the hatch.
- You will find a battery floating in the lower area.
- Use Axiom Force to grab the battery and move it to the slot on the north wall — the one directly opposite the other battery already in place.
- Use Force Palm to push it into the slot.
Both batteries are now seated. This unlocks the path forward.
Step 2 – Use the First Lightning Cube and Enter the Next Room

Walk back up and head down the hallway. A short walk in, look to your left.
- You will see a Lightning Cube sitting there. Pick it up with Axiom Force.
- Place it down facing south so the beam hits the yellow crystal.
- Head to the west side of the room and use the floating platform to rise up into the next puzzle chamber.
- In this new chamber, you will see two yellow crystals with a Lightning Cube sitting between them.
This sets up the next stage. Do not touch the Lightning Cube in the middle yet.
Step 3 – Use the Second Lightning Cube to Recover the First

This step is a bit counter-intuitive. You are using the second Lightning Cube to retrieve the one you already placed.
- Place the Lightning Cube from this room on the track in the floor, directly opposite the stone cube.
- Now pick up the Power Core — the electric floating cube nearby — and place it inside the stone cube.
- The track pulls the Lightning Cube inward. If it is angled correctly, the beam hits the yellow crystal.
- This deactivates the blue wall on the south side of the room.
- With the blue wall gone, you can now go back and grab the first Lightning Cube you placed earlier.
Take it. You now have two Lightning Cubes in hand.
Step 4 – Use Both Lightning Cubes to Open the Final Door

Now you use both cubes at once to unlock the last room.
- Place one Lightning Cube so it shoots into either yellow crystal on the west side of the room. Both work fine — pick whichever is easier to angle.
- Use Axiom Force on the Power Core to bring back the second Lightning Cube from the stone cube.
- Place the second Lightning Cube on the remaining yellow crystal.
- Both crystals are now active. The door ahead opens.
- Walk through and collect the battery waiting on the other side.
Step 5 – Escape the Last Room and Finish the Puzzle

This is the trickiest part. It requires timing and quick thinking with Blinding Flash.
- Use Axiom Force to push the battery up against the locked door.
- Press L1 + R1 + L1 to cast Blinding Flash on the yellow crystal. The door opens briefly.
- Immediately use Axiom Force to pull the battery through the open door — and move yourself through at the same time before it closes.
- Push the battery through the small hole in the floor, then crawl through after it.
- On the west side of this new room, you will find an empty slot in the floor. Place the battery into it.
- Hit the battery with Force Palm to activate the teleporter.
- Step into the teleporter. It sends you into the final room.
- In the west area, there is a circular platform. Do a Jump + Force Palm to activate it.
- This triggers the Abyss Gate. Collect your Abyss Artifact and you are done.
