The Loop of Life is the Abyss puzzle that follows right after the Sanctorum of Darkness in Crimson Desert. By this point in the Sleet Isles island chain, you’ve already got your Frost skill and you know how to handle batteries and lasers. The Loop of Life builds on that — this time, it’s all about three inactive rings and three batteries spread across different levels.
The tricky part is figuring out where each battery goes and how to get battery #3 in the first place. Here’s the full step-by-step.
Where Is the Loop of Life?
The Loop of Life is part of the Sleet Isles Abyss chain. It sits directly after the Sanctorum of Darkness. The full chain order looks like this:
Ether Rest → Frostbitten Paradise → Path of Trials (Frost Mantle) → Sanctorum of Darkness → Loop of Life → Tree of Slumber (Fire / Flame Strike)
If you just cleared the Sanctorum of Darkness, the Abyss Gate straight ahead leads into the Loop of Life.
How to Complete the Loop of Life Puzzle in Crimson Desert
The Loop of Life has four steps. You’ll place two of the three batteries yourself on the rings, with the third one hiding behind a hidden room that only opens once battery #2 is slotted in.
Step 1: Place Battery #1 in the First Ring
When you arrive at the Loop of Life, head down to the first ring. This is the lowest of the three.
- Battery #1 is sitting right there on the first ring — you can’t miss it.
- Use Axiom Force to move battery #1 into the empty slot on the ring.
- Hit the battery into place with Force Palm.
The first ring is now active. Head around to the north side of the first ring.
- You’ll spot battery #2 floating nearby on the north side.
Step 2: Use Battery #2 to Unlock Battery #3
Battery #2 doesn’t go to the next ring directly. First, it opens up a hidden room that gives you battery #3.
- Grab battery #2 with Axiom Force.
- Push it upward toward the upper platform above you.
- To get up there yourself, use Jump + Triple Force Palm to gain height, then glide and climb to the platform.
- Slot battery #2 into place on the upper platform and hit it with Force Palm.
Once battery #2 is slotted in, a room directly in front of you will open up.
- Use Axiom Force to pull battery #3 out of the now-open room.

Step 3: Activate the Second Ring
Now you have battery #3 and battery #2 is still in its slot. You need one battery for the second ring and one for the third. Here’s how to manage that:
- Push battery #3 upward to the second ring, which is directly above your current position.
- Next, go back to battery #2. Use Axiom Force on it and angle the Right Stick until Kliff pulls it back out of the slot.
- Bring battery #2 up to join battery #3 near the second ring.
- Take either battery and place it into the empty slot on the second ring.
- Hit it with Force Palm to activate the second ring.
Step 4: Activate the Third and Final Ring
You now have one battery left and one ring to go.
- Take the remaining battery and carry it south across the rings to the third and final ring.
- Walk along the edge of the final ring until you reach the slot on the south side.
- Place the battery into the slot and seal it with Force Palm.
All three rings are now active.
Step 5: Hit the Abyss Dial
With all three rings spinning:
- The Abyss dial will activate automatically in the area.
- Walk up to it and hit it with Force Palm.
The Loop of Life is complete.
What Do You Get for Completing the Loop of Life?
After activating the Abyss dial, you can take the Abyss Gate forward to the Tree of Slumber. This is the next — and final — puzzle in the Sleet Isles chain, and it’s the one that rewards you with the ability to learn Fire (Flame Strike) from the Skills menu.

Common Issues with the Loop of Life Puzzle
Battery #3 isn’t showing up. The hidden room only opens after battery #2 is placed in the upper platform slot. Make sure you’ve actually hit it with Force Palm to lock it in — if you just pushed it near the slot without Force Palming it, the room won’t open.
Can’t reach the upper platform. Use Jump first, then chain three Force Palms in the air to gain height. From there, glide and grab onto the platform edge to climb up. If your aerial movement feels awkward, make sure you’re not over-encumbered — check your inventory space if you’re carrying a lot.
Battery keeps drifting. Axiom Force can be finicky on narrow platforms. Try to aim the Right Stick slowly and deliberately, especially when pushing batteries upward between levels. Small adjustments go a long way.
