The sword is located inside the Demeniss Ancestors’ Ruins, an underground complex in the southern part of the Demeniss region. You access it through a cave at the Nightfell Expedition Camp, which sits in the southern section of Demeniss, just east of the Steel Mountains and west of Bowsprit Cape.
The camp itself is heavily guarded, but there is a way in that lets you skip most of the fighting if you prefer.
Route 1: Through the Nightfell Expedition Camp (Standard Path)
This is the most straightforward route. It takes you directly through the camp and into the cave.
Step 1: Travel to the Nightfell Expedition Camp in southern Demeniss. Use the nearest fast travel point to save time — the camp is a long walk from Demeniss City itself.
Step 2: Clear or bypass the enemies in and around the camp. The cave entrance sits along the cliff face in the southwestern corner of the camp. It is easy to miss on first pass, so look carefully along the base of the mountain wall. Two sentries guard the entrance.
Step 3: Enter the cave and follow the narrow passage forward. The path is linear so you will not get lost. Head down the stairs as the tunnel opens up.
Step 4: You will reach a chamber with an underground waterfall. Do not try to go through it. Instead, turn left and cross the fallen tree trunks. Move carefully near the ends of the logs — they break as you step on the outer edges, so stay toward the middle.
Step 5: Follow the path behind the waterfall. This leads directly into the Demeniss Ancestors’ Ruins. The first stone door opens automatically as you approach it.
Step 6: Inside the ruins, you will face a platforming section — a series of stone pillars spanning a deep chasm. Take the jumps steadily. Use a sprint jump for the wider gaps. If you fall, you land in water below. Swim to the platform and climb back up to retry.
Step 7: After crossing the chasm, a second door opens. Head to the far end of the room. The Righteous Verdict is lodged in the floor near the center of the final chamber, roughly three-quarters of the way through. Walk up and interact with it to pull it free.
Route 2: Drop Down From the Mountain (Skip the Camp)
If you want to avoid the guarded camp entirely, there is a second way in. From the mountain cliffs above the Nightfell Expedition Camp, you can drop directly down to the cave entrance and bypass all the enemies below.
This works best once you know where the cave sits from the standard route, since you will be approaching from above. Use your glide ability after jumping off the cliff edge to control your descent and land cleanly at the entrance. From there, the path through the ruins is exactly the same as Route 1.
This is the faster option if you are just going for the sword and have no interest in clearing the camp.
