TL;DR
- The Beehive Club is a random drop from destroying wild beehives hanging in trees — not from apiary hives
- Best farming spot is Three Saints’ Falls, north of Hernand — look for 3 to 6 hives in a small area
- Shoot hives down with your bow or knock trees down with Force Palm
- The club releases a bee swarm on hit that deals damage over time — great for bosses
- It has only 30 durability and cannot have Abyss Gears slotted, but it can be farmed infinitely
- Use the fast travel point to reset hive respawns quickly
The Beehive Club is one of the most unusual weapons in Crimson Desert. It’s exactly what it sounds like — a stick with a live beehive on the end. Hit an enemy with it and a swarm of bees wakes up and attacks them, stacking damage over time while you keep your distance. It sounds ridiculous. It genuinely works.
Before the game launched it was apparently wiping out bosses in seconds. It got nerfed since then, but it’s still very solid — especially early in the game when your other weapons haven’t been fully refined yet. And it respawns infinitely, so once you know where to look, you always have a fresh supply.
Here’s exactly how to get it.
What Is the Beehive Club?
The Beehive Club is a one-handed melee weapon. It’s described in-game as a club with a beehive impaled on a stick. Bees sleep inside the hive and awaken when an enemy is struck, swarming out to deal damage over time.
The raw stats aren’t flashy. The weapon’s real value is the bee swarm effect — it stacks DoT damage that continues ticking even after you’ve already swung. Against enemies with large health pools, especially bosses, the cumulative bee damage adds up fast.
However, it has clear limitations. It only has 30 durability, meaning it lasts roughly 10 to 30 swings depending on how hard you’re hitting before it breaks. It cannot be slotted with Abyss Gears. And the drop is completely random, not guaranteed.
The good news is that beehives respawn and the farming route is short. You can keep a steady supply of these if you want.
Where to Find the Beehive Club

The Beehive Club drops from wild beehives hanging from trees in the forests around Hernand. It does not drop from the beehives inside the Pollengarth Apiary — only the wild hanging hives work.
The best farming spot is Three Saints’ Falls, located north of Hernand City. On your map, look at the text “Three Saints’ Falls” — the hives are clustered right in between the “Three Saints” and the “Falls” part of the label, near a mushroom patch. You’ll find anywhere from 3 to 6 beehives within a small area, which makes this the most efficient place to farm.
If you’ve already unlocked the Thinker’s Meadow fast travel point nearby, getting back to this area is easy. Check our guide on how to unlock the Thinker’s Meadow fast travel point if you haven’t set that up yet — it saves a lot of running.
Beehives also appear in other wooded areas across the eastern region of Hernand, so keep an eye on treetops as you explore. They hang visibly in the branches and are easy to miss if you’re only looking at ground level.

How to Get the Beehive Club Step by Step
Step 1 — Head to Three Saints’ Falls. Travel north of Hernand City to Three Saints’ Falls. Approach the forested area and look up — the beehives are hanging from branches above, not sitting on the ground.
Step 2 — Spot the hives. The hives can be tricky to see if you rush through. Slow down and scan the treetops. If you enter the area and don’t see any immediately, wait a moment. Beehives sometimes need a few seconds to fully load in.
Step 3 — Destroy the hives. You have two options:
Use your bow and arrow to shoot the hive down from a distance. This is the safest method — you stay out of bee range while the hive drops to the ground. Don’t use fire arrows. Fire can damage or destroy the loot inside the hive and reduce your chances of getting the club.
Alternatively, use Force Palm on the tree itself to knock the whole tree down instantly, which also brings the hive with it. This is faster but puts you closer to the bees when they’re released.

Step 4 — Check the ground for the drop. Once the hive hits the ground, walk over and check for the pickup prompt. If you see Honey or Wax, the Beehive Club didn’t drop from that hive. Move on to the next one. If you see “Pick up Beehive Club” — grab it.
Step 5 — Farm multiple hives. The drop rate is random, so don’t expect to get it on the first try. Clear all 3 to 6 hives in the area. If you go through the entire cluster without a drop, fast travel away and back to reset the area, which respawns the environmental objects. Then try again.
One important note: felling trees with offensive combat skills causes the trees not to respawn immediately even when you fast travel. Stick to bow shots or targeted Force Palm on individual hives for the cleanest respawn cycle.
How the Beehive Club Works in Combat
Equip it in your primary or secondary melee slot. When you hit an enemy, bees erupt from the hive and swarm the target, dealing damage over time. The more bees that attach to the target, the higher the cumulative damage.
To maximize the bee effect, land around 3 heavy attacks (R2/RT) in a row. This gets more bees swarming simultaneously, which dramatically increases the tick damage. After that, back off and let the bees do the work while you stay safe.
This mechanic is especially strong against bosses with large health pools. A single good swing can put a swarm on a boss and let the bees chip away while you focus on dodging and staying alive. For aggressive boss fights, you might also want to check our advanced combat guide for tips on maximizing damage output.
The physical hit damage from the club also scales with Kliff’s Strength stat, so it gets better as you build up your attack level. See our guide on how to increase attack level for more on that.
Beehive Club Durability and Farming
The club has 30 durability. Once it runs out, the hive breaks and the weapon is spent. You’ll need to go farm another one.
Because the farming route at Three Saints’ Falls is short and the hives respawn, this isn’t a huge problem. Keep a couple of spare Beehive Clubs in your inventory so you always have a fresh one ready for boss encounters.
The best approach is to use the Beehive Club situationally — save it for tough enemies and boss fights rather than burning through it on regular trash mobs. Use your main refined weapon for everyday combat and swap to the Beehive Club when you need the DoT edge.
Can You Upgrade the Beehive Club?
Yes — according to the Fextralife wiki, the Beehive Club can be improved through Refinement at a blacksmith. Upgrading it increases both the physical hit damage and the potency of the bee swarm effect. However, it cannot have Abyss Gears slotted into it, which limits how much you can customize it compared to other weapons.
Given its limited durability and the fact that you can keep farming fresh ones, most players will use it as a supplemental weapon rather than a primary build piece. For main weapon options and full build setups, check our best unique weapons and armor guide and best early build.
What About the Beekeeping Suit?
If the bees attack you while farming — which happens — you can get a Beekeeping Suit to protect yourself. There are two ways to get one. You can steal it from the shack at the Pollengarth Apiary, or you can earn one as a reward from a House Grace quest at the apiary that involves taking down a honey-hungry bear. Either works. If you want to know more about stealth and pickpocketing, see our how to steal items guide.
Tips for Farming Efficiently
Look up, not down. The beehives hang in tree branches. Players who rush through at ground level walk right past them every time.
Don’t use fire arrows. Fire can burn the hive contents and reduce your drop chances. Regular arrows are the safest tool.
Clear your inventory first. The Beehive Club is a heavy melee item. If you’re out of inventory space, the club can drop to the ground but you won’t be able to pick it up. Keep a couple of free slots open. See our how to increase inventory space guide if you’re running tight on room.
Use fast travel to reset. Fast travel away from Three Saints’ Falls and back after clearing all the hives. This is the most reliable way to respawn the beehives quickly so you can farm another round. Having the Thinker’s Meadow Nexus active makes this particularly easy.
Stock up before boss fights. Before heading into any tough boss encounter, make a quick stop at Three Saints’ Falls and grab 2 or 3 clubs. Having backups means you can keep the bee swarm going through multiple phases without running dry.
