Crimson Desert: Sanctum of Benediction Puzzle Solution

The Sanctum of Benediction is one of the Sanctums that Elowen, the Witch of Wisdom, sends Cliff to cleanse in Crimson Desert. It sits in a frost-covered mountain region and involves a two-part puzzle that trips up a lot of players — especially the second core hidden behind a locked door. This guide walks you through everything: enemy clearing, both core locations, the hidden chest, and how to power up the machine.

Sanctum of Benediction Location in Crimson Desert

The Sanctum of Benediction is in the western part of the Hernand Region, high up in the snowy mountains. On the map, look right below the “E” in Hernand. The closest fast travel point is the Abyss Nexus at Starlight Storm Cave. From there, ride your horse west along the winding mountain road until you reach the ice-covered ruins.

The area has heavy frost buildup, so prepare before you go. Equip gear that boosts Ice Resistance and bring consumables that protect against cold damage. How to Unlock the Sanctum of Benediction

You cannot cleanse any Sanctum until you reach Chapter 5 and speak with Elowen. She is part of the Witches faction questline, and completing her introduction is required before any Sanctum puzzle activates. If you arrive too early, you will see a message saying the Sanctum cannot be purified yet.

How to Liberate the Sanctum of Benediction

When you arrive, Antumbra soldiers will be holding the area. You need to eliminate all of them and bring the liberation progress bar on the left side of the screen down to 0% before the puzzle activates.

Enemies are spread throughout the ruins, mostly on the upper levels near the central machine. Clear groups one at a time rather than pulling everyone at once.

Once the area is clear, the puzzle begins. You need to find two Fusion Reactor Cores and insert them into the central machine to cleanse the Sanctum.

First Fusion Reactor Core Location

Head toward the southwestern entrance of the Sanctum and climb the two stone staircases to reach the main courtyard. At the top, you will see two doorways framed with glowing stones.

Enter the correct doorway on the side with the opening and head into the small dark room at the bottom of the stairs. Use your Axiom Force to grab the cube-shaped Fusion Reactor Core inside. Once you have it, seal it into your Kuku Pot for transport.

Second Fusion Reactor Core Location

This is where most players get stuck. The second core is inside the large tower structure in the center of the area. The entrance looks completely sealed and blocked by bricks.

The solution is simple — look to the right of the sealed entrance. There is a stone lantern sitting beside the door. Light it, and the doorway will immediately open.

Head inside and grab the round-top Fusion Reactor Core using Axiom Force. Seal it into your Kuku Pot before moving on.

Hidden Treasure Chest

While you are inside the tower room, walk to the far end. You will find a small indent in the wall covered with vines. Inside is a hidden treasure chest containing the Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom — a solid helmet with Abyss Gears that boost Turning Slash damage. Do not leave without grabbing it.

How to Insert the Fusion Reactor Cores

Now head back to the central machine with both cores.

Round-top Fusion Reactor Core: Place this on the broken pillar beside the machine. Climb on top of the pillar and use an Aerial Force Palm to push the core down and lock it in place.

Cube-shaped Fusion Reactor Core: Insert this directly into the main machine itself. Use a regular Force Palm — not aerial — to push it into the empty socket and secure it.

Once both cores are inserted, the machine powers up and the Sanctum of Benediction is officially cleansed.

After cleansing the Sanctum, return to Elowen to collect your rewards:

Kuku Marni Laser Helm blueprint — the main reward for completing the puzzle, used for crafting Kuku Pot items
Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom — found in the hidden chest inside the tower room, comes with Abyss Gears that boost Turning Slash damage
