TL;DR
- The Sanctum of Devotion is in the Hushwind Hills, southwest Delesyia — just left of the “D” in Dewhaven on your map.
- Must have met the Witch of Humility first or cleansing is locked.
- Kill all Antumbra enemies until the green liberation bar hits 0% — use arrows on flying wizards.
- Two cores needed: Fusion Reactor Core: LI-IV (look UP near the door in the right room) and Fusion Reactor Core: XIV (behind a wall crack, climb the wolf statue to reach it).
- For Core XIV, use Focus + Force Palm (L3+R3, then R3) to slot it cleanly.
- This is one of four sanctums for the Witch of Humility. All four are needed for her reward.
The Sanctum of Devotion is part of the Darkness over the Sanctum questline for the Witch of Humility. It sits in the Hushwind Hills in southwest Delesyia — look at your map and find the “D” in Dewhaven, and the sanctum is just to the left of it. Use a nearby Abyss Nexus to fast travel close, then ride in on your mount. See our fast travel guide if you’re still unlocking those points.
Before anything else — you must have already met the Witch of Humility. If you haven’t, the cleansing step is completely locked. You can liberate the sanctum by clearing enemies, but the generator puzzle won’t be available until she’s been encountered first.
This is the third of four sanctums for the Witch of Humility. The others are the Sanctum of Oblation, Sanctum of Faith, and Sanctum of Veneration. You need all four to claim her reward.
Where Is the Sanctum of Devotion in Crimson Desert?
The Sanctum of Devotion is in the Hushwind Hills, southwest region of Delesyia. On the world map, find the word “Dewhaven” — the sanctum sits just to the left of the “D”. It’s one of the more remote sanctums in the Witch of Humility’s questline, so a nearby Abyss Nexus fast travel point will save you a lot of riding time.
Before You Start — Key Mechanics
Axiom Force — Hold L3 (PS) / Hold LB (Xbox) / Hold TAB (PC) to grab and push heavy objects. Essential for moving Reactor Cores. See our Axiom Force guide if needed.
Kuku Pot — Seals and transports Reactor Cores between rooms. Lost yours? Check the supply chest at Howling Hill Greymane Camp, or dispatch the “Kuku Pot Production” mission at your camp.
Force Palm — Press R3 (PS/Xbox) while airborne for Aerial Force Palm. Used to lock cores on top of pillars.
Focus + Force Palm — Press L3+R3 to enter Focus mode, then R3 to perform Force Palm: Focus. This is the cleaner, more controlled method for slotting the battery-slot core. More precise than the aerial version.
Green leaves glowing around a core means it’s correctly aligned. Don’t Force Palm until you see them.
Can’t find the generator? Open your Journal, find Darkness over the Sanctum, and mark the Sanctum of Devotion quest to place a tracker on your minimap.
Step 1 – Clear the Area
When you arrive at the Sanctum of Devotion, defeat every Antumbra enemy until the green liberation bar on the left side of the screen hits 0%. Use arrows or ranged attacks to shoot down flying Antumbra wizards first — they’re the biggest nuisance. Once the area is fully clear, a cutscene plays and the cleansing objective activates.
How to Cleanse the Sanctum of Devotion in Crimson Desert
Two Fusion Reactor Cores need to be found, sealed in the Kuku Pot, transported, and slotted into the generator. Both are in the same small room to the right of the sanctum puzzle.

Part 1 – Find and Place the Fusion Reactor Core: LI-IV
This core is easy to miss because of where it’s hiding — you need to look up.

- Stand facing the sanctum generator puzzle.
- Head right into the small room.
- Once inside, turn to face the door you just entered and look up. The Fusion Reactor Core: LI-IV is mounted above the doorway. Many players walk right past it because they’re looking at floor level.
- Use Axiom Force to grab it, then press Triangle (PS) / Y (Xbox) / R (PC) to Seal it into the Kuku Pot.
- Return to the generator and open your inventory. Enter the Kuku Pot and press Square (PS) / X (Xbox) / F (PC) to Discard the core, dropping it nearby.
- Use Axiom Force to push it onto the pillar that’s missing a cube on top.
- Use Jump + Force Palm to gain height and stand on top of the core.
- From on top, use Jump + Force Palm again to slam it down into the pillar.
Part 2 – Find and Place the Fusion Reactor Core: XIV
This core is behind a crack in the wall — but you need to climb the wolf statue to reach it.

- Head back into the same small room to the right of the generator.
- Look for the stone statue of wolves inside the room. Climb up it.
- From the top of the statue, look left — you’ll see a crack in the wall.
- Aim Axiom Force at the crack and pull the Fusion Reactor Core: XIV toward you through the wall.
- Press Triangle / Y / R to Seal it into the Kuku Pot.
- Return to the generator and Discard the core from the Kuku Pot.
- Use Axiom Force to push it into the empty battery slot on the left side of the generator.
- When green petals glow around it, the core is correctly positioned.
- Enter Focus mode (L3+R3 / LB+RB / TAB+right mouse button), then press R3 / RB / right mouse button to perform Force Palm: Focus and lock the core into place.
What Happens After You Cleanse the Sanctum of Devotion?
Once both cores are locked in, the generator activates and the Witch of Humility appears. You’ll make progress toward completing the full Darkness over the Sanctum questline. This cleanse also counts toward the Sanctum Exploration Challenge in your challenge log.
You still need the Sanctum of Veneration to complete all four of the Witch of Humility’s sanctums and unlock her full reward. Once all four are done, return to her to claim it.
Common Issues and Fixes
“I can’t find the Fusion Reactor Core: LI-IV.” It’s above the doorway of the small room — look up when facing the door you entered. It is not on the floor or shelves.
“I can’t grab the Core: XIV through the crack.” You need to be at the right height. Climb the wolf statue first, then aim Axiom Force at the crack from that elevated position.
“The core won’t slot into the battery.” Wait for the green petals to appear before using Force Palm. If they’re not showing, push the core slightly closer to the slot and try again.
“Force Palm keeps missing the pillar top.” Try the Focus + Force Palm method instead (L3+R3, then R3). It’s more controlled and doesn’t require precise aerial timing.
“I cleared the area but the puzzle won’t activate.” Check for any remaining enemies on the perimeter. The green bar must be fully at 0%.
“I lost my Kuku Pot.” Check the supply chest at Howling Hill Greymane Camp, or run the “Kuku Pot Production” dispatch at your camp.
