Crimson Desert Sanctum of Oblation

TL;DR

The Sanctum of Oblation is on the Crowtalon Isles, far east of Delesyia — follow the dirt path across the water.
You must meet the Witch of Humility first. You can liberate the sanctum without her, but you cannot cleanse it.
Only one Fusion Reactor Core is needed here: Fusion Reactor Core: XIV-IV.
If you lose the core mid-puzzle, check the Howling Hill camp supply chest.
This is one of four sanctums for the Witch of Humility. The others are Sanctum of Veneration, Sanctum of Faith, and Sanctum of Devotion.

The Sanctum of Oblation is part of the Darkness over the Sanctum questline tied to the Witch of Humility. It sits on the Crowtalon Isles, east of Delesyia — follow the dirt path across the water and you’ll find it. Like all sanctums, you need to clear the Antumbra cultists before the cleansing puzzle becomes available.

One important thing before you start: you must have already met the Witch of Humility to cleanse this sanctum. You can defeat the enemies and liberate the area without her blessing, but the cleansing step will be locked. If you haven’t met her yet, find her first before coming here.

There are 16 total sanctums across all witches in Pywel. Completing them all ties into Exploration Challenges and in-game achievements — helpful if you’re going for full completion.

Before You Start – Key Mechanics

This puzzle uses the same tools as every other sanctum cleanse. Make sure you have these down:

Axiom Force — Hold L3 (PS) / Hold LB (Xbox) / Hold TAB (PC) to grab and push heavy objects like Reactor Cores. See our Axiom Force guide if needed.

Kuku Pot — The only way to transport Reactor Cores. You Seal items into it and Discard them back out at the destination.

Force Palm / Aerial Force Palm — Press R3 (PS/Xbox) while airborne. Used to slam the core into place on the pillar.

Lost a puzzle piece? Check the supply chest at Howling Hill Greymane Camp. Dropped items from sanctum puzzles can usually be recovered there.

Can’t find the generator? Open your Journal, find the Darkness over the Sanctum section, and mark the Sanctum of Oblation quest. This places a tracker directly on your minimap pointing to the generator.

How to Cleanse the Sanctum of Oblation in Crimson Desert

This sanctum only needs one Fusion Reactor Core — the Fusion Reactor Core: XIV-IV. Here’s exactly where to find it and how to place it.

Step 1 – Clear the Area First

When you arrive at the Sanctum of Oblation, defeat all Antumbra enemies in the area. The green liberation bar must be completely empty before the cleansing objective activates.

Step 2 – Find the Fusion Reactor Core: XIV-IV

Stand facing the main sanctum entrance.
Go through the left door, then immediately take a left again through another doorway.
Turn right and go down the stairs.
At the bottom, turn right — the Fusion Reactor Core: XIV-IV is here.
Use Axiom Force (L3 / LB / TAB) to grab it.
Press Triangle (PS) / Y (Xbox) / R (PC) to Seal it into your Kuku Pot.

Step 3 – Return to the Power Device

Head back up the stairs and return to the main sanctum chamber where the power device is. Open your inventory, enter the Kuku Pot, and select “Discard” on the Fusion Reactor Core: XIV-IV to drop it on the ground near the device.

Step 4 – Place the Core on the Pillar

Use Axiom Force to push the Fusion Reactor Core: XIV-IV north toward the power device.
Look for the pillar on the back left with no top — that’s your target.
Push the core up against the base of the pillar and rotate it until you see green leaves or petals glowing around it. That visual means it’s aligned correctly and ready to be slotted.
Use Jump + Force Palm to gain enough height to stand on top of the core.
From on top of the core, use Jump + Force Palm again to slam it down into place on the pillar.

The generator activates. The Sanctum of Oblation is cleansed.

What Happens After You Cleanse the Sanctum of Oblation?

Once the generator powers up, the Witch of Humility visits and acknowledges the cleansing. You’ll also make progress toward the full Darkness over the Sanctum quest, which requires all four of her sanctums to be cleansed to unlock the final reward.

The remaining three sanctums for the Witch of Humility are the Sanctum of Veneration, Sanctum of Faith, and Sanctum of Devotion. Complete all four to get her full reward.

Finishing this also counts toward the Sanctum Exploration Challenge in your challenge log — one step closer to 100% completion.

Common Issues and Fixes

“I can’t cleanse the sanctum after defeating all enemies.” You haven’t met the Witch of Humility yet. Find and speak with her first — cleansing is locked until you do.

“I can’t find the Fusion Reactor Core.” Make sure you go through the left door, then left again, then right and down the stairs. It’s easy to miss the second left turn. Use your minimap — the core shows as an icon when you’re close enough.

“The core won’t slot into the pillar.” You need to see green leaves glowing around the core before it’s ready. If you’re not seeing them, push the core closer to the pillar base and rotate it until the green indicator appears.

“I dropped the core and now it’s gone.” Head to the supply chest at Howling Hill Greymane Camp. Dropped sanctum puzzle items can be recovered from there.
