Crimson Desert Warren Outlaw Bounty Guide
Bounty hunting is one of the most rewarding optional activities in Crimson Desert. Hernand, the game’s first major region, has nine outlaw bounties to track down. Warren is one of them. Getting to him takes some work — his location is locked behind a faction quest that many players miss entirely, and entering the area without completing it first will get you knocked out by the locals before you can even reach him.

When Do Bounties Unlock?
Bounty posters do not appear in the world until you reach Chapter 2 of the main story. If you are in Chapter 1 and cannot find any purple poster icons in Hernand, this is why — simply progress the main quest and they will start appearing. Once Chapter 2 begins, posters for all nine Hernand bounties (except one that appears later near the Equinsher Saddlery in Chapter 8) will be pinned to notice boards and wooden poles throughout the city.
Where to Find Warren’s Bounty Poster
Before you can hunt Warren, you need to read his bounty poster. Look around Hernand Village for purple poster icons on your minimap. These are pinned to notice boards and wooden poles throughout the village.
Read the poster to activate the bounty and begin your hunt. Once it is active, Warren’s general location will be revealed — the Unreachable Village in Pororin Forest, southeast of Hernand City. The poster also contains important clues about your target, including any time-of-day conditions that affect when they appear.
How to Reach Warren — The Unreachable Village
This is where most players get stuck. Warren is inside the Unreachable Village, and you cannot simply walk in. If you try to enter the area without the right quest cleared, the Shai residents will knock you out before you can get anywhere near Warren — let alone capture him.
You must first finish “The Unreachable Village” faction quest.

Once you have access to the Unreachable Village, head to the South Deepwoods section of the area. Warren is hiding in the southern part of Pororin Forest, near a tree. If he is not at the marked spot, try fast travelling away and returning — some players report a simple area reset is all it takes for him to appear. How to Capture Warren
Unlike some bounties, Warren does not have backup fighters around him — but he may try to run when you approach. Be ready to give chase. There is also one key thing to watch: do not hit him too many times or he will die, and a dead Warren means a reduced reward.
Here is how to do it cleanly:
- Approach Warren in his hiding spot. If he bolts, sprint after him.
- Tackle him — press X on PlayStation or A on Xbox.
- Hit him a few times until the tie-up prompt appears.
- Follow the prompt to bind him.
Keep it controlled — Warren has low health. Two or three hits after the tackle is usually all it takes. The moment you see the tie-up prompt, stop attacking immediately.
How to Return Warren to Hernand
Getting Warren back to Hernand Town is the hardest part of this bounty purely because of the distance. The Unreachable Village is deep in Pororin Forest, which is a long way from Hernand Town.
Stow Warren on the back of your horse and ride back. A few things to keep in mind during transport:
- Avoid enemy-heavy areas. If your horse takes too much damage or bucks, both you and Warren can fall off. Stick to clear roads where possible.
- Don’t throw him into water. If you need to dismount and carry him on foot through a tight spot, avoid any bodies of water.
- Fast travel is disabled while carrying a prisoner, so plan for the full ride. For tips on mounted movement, see our horse guide.
Once you reach Hernand Town, deliver Warren to the guards at the prison on the north side of town to collect your reward. Only the Hernand constabulary will accept him — the notice poster tells you which constabulary to use.

Always aim to bring bounty targets back alive. The reward is doubled and you also earn Contribution Points, which are useful for unlocking things across the region. Completing Bounty Notices also progressively unlocks Bounty Hunter equipment lines at constabulary stockists — useful armor sets organized by weight for different capture styles. Tips for This Bounty
- Do the faction quest first. Without completing The Unreachable Village, Shai residents will knock you out on entry and you won’t even reach Warren.
- Be ready for him to run. Warren may bolt when you approach. Sprint after him and tackle from behind for an easier knockdown.
- Stop hitting early. Warren has low health. Two or three hits after the tackle is usually enough. Watch for the tie-up prompt.
- Use your horse for the return trip. The distance from Pororin Forest back to Hernand Town is significant. Check our horse guide for mounted movement tips.
- If Warren isn’t spawning, fast travel away and return to reset the area. Completing The Unreachable Village quest is the most common fix.
- Chain bounties together. You can transport two prisoners at once — carry one and lash the second across your horse’s saddle. If you are doing multiple Hernand bounties in the same session, plan your route to pick up nearby targets together.
