How to Get Marni’s Mechahorse in Crimson Desert
TL;DR
- Marni’s Mechahorse is found just outside the south gate of the City of Delesyia in the Eastern Hills
- Equip a Mask before taking it to avoid a bounty — ride away fast if spotted
- It has zero stamina drain during normal riding and can travel underwater
- It cannot equip armor and cannot be stored in a Stable permanently right now
- As of April 2026, it’s a temporary mount — Pearl Abyss may make it permanent in a future update
Marni’s Mechahorse is one of those mounts that stops players in their tracks the moment they see it. A robotic steed built from lightweight timber and a strong alloy frame, it runs unlike anything else in Pywel. No stamina drain. No limits at the water’s edge. If you’ve spotted it standing near the City of Delesyia and weren’t sure how to grab it or what it actually does, here’s everything you need to know.
What Is Marni’s Mechahorse?
Marni’s Mechahorse is a mechanical mount crafted by Marni, the leader of Delesyia. Its frame is built around lightweight timber with the upper section covered in a durable alloy, designed to run for long stretches without taking structural damage.
In gameplay terms, it has two big advantages over every regular horse in the game:
- No stamina consumption during normal riding
- Can travel underwater without any restrictions
That second point is currently believed to be an unintended feature rather than a designed mechanic, so Pearl Abyss could patch it out in a future update. Use it while it’s available.
The tradeoff is that the Mechahorse cannot be equipped with horse armor and doesn’t fight alongside you the way some other mounts can. It’s purely a travel and exploration mount — but for those purposes, it’s exceptional.
Where to Find Marni’s Mechahorse
The Mechahorse spawns in a fixed location: just south of the main gate of the City of Delesyia, in the Eastern Hills region.

When you arrive, you’ll find a group of NPCs standing around the horse. You don’t need to fight or interact with any of them. The horse itself is right there, accessible.
The Delesyia stable is also in this exact area, right by the southern gate near Finhold Netmakers. If you’ve already registered that stable for fast travel, getting to the Mechahorse is straightforward. Our guide on all stable locations in Crimson Desert can help you set up your fast travel network if you haven’t already.

How to Take Marni’s Mechahorse
This is where players get tripped up. The horse belongs to NPCs, so grabbing it counts as stealing.
Step 1 — Equip a Mask
Before approaching the horse, put on a Mask. This is the same requirement as other stealing actions in Crimson Desert. Without a mask, your identity is exposed and the crime is fully tracked back to you.
Step 2 — Mount the Horse
Walk up to Marni’s Mechahorse and press X on PlayStation / A on Xbox to mount it. The surrounding NPCs will react, but don’t worry about them.
Step 3 — Ride Away Quickly
As soon as you’re on the horse, ride away from the area fast. If you clear the detection zone before a bounty is formally applied, you’ll escape without any wanted level attached to you.
If you do end up with a bounty, our guide on how to remove a bounty in Crimson Desert walks you through how to clear it.

Can You Keep Marni’s Mechahorse Permanently?
Not right now. As of April 2026, you cannot store the Mechahorse at a Stable. That means once you dismount or leave the area, it’s gone. You’d need to go back to the south gate of Delesyia and grab it again each time you want to use it.
This is the same situation Crimson Desert had with the White Bear and the Silver Fang (White Wolf) before Pearl Abyss added them as permanent legendary mounts in a patch. The Mechahorse fits that same pattern — unique creature, fixed location, no stable option yet — so there’s a reasonable chance it becomes a permanent mount down the road.
For now, ride it when you’re in the Delesyia region and want to explore without burning through stamina, especially if there’s underwater terrain you want to cover.
If you’re looking for permanent mounts you can stable and keep long-term, check out our guides on the Silver Fang legendary mount, the White Bear legendary mount, and the Lion mount. What Makes the Mechahorse Worth Using
Even as a temporary mount, the Mechahorse has clear advantages for specific situations.
Zero stamina drain. Regular horses deplete their stamina bar as you sprint, and you need to manage it carefully on long trips. The Mechahorse skips that entirely. You can run at full speed across the whole Delesyia region without stopping once to let it recover.
Underwater travel. No other mount in the game currently does this. If you’re exploring coastal areas, underwater caves, or want to cross bodies of water without dismounting, the Mechahorse handles it without any penalties or animations that would slow you down.
Ideal for Delesyia exploration. The region has extended quest chains and a lot of ground to cover. Using the Mechahorse as your main transport while you’re active in this area saves a significant amount of time compared to managing a regular horse’s stamina.
Other Marni-Related Content in Delesyia
If you’re in the Delesyia region picking up the Mechahorse, there’s other Marni-connected content worth knowing about.
Marni’s Masterium is located in the far eastern part of Delesyia along the coastline. It’s hostile when you arrive, guarded by golem enemies and mechanized dragonflies. Inside a side workshop, you can steal the Marni Laser Helmet — a unique piece of armor that lets you lock onto multiple enemies and fire a barrage of explosive lasers at them, with a one-minute internal cooldown. Our full guide on how to get the Marni Laser Helmet and its upgrade covers the exact sneaking route and what to do if you get detected.
Marni’s Outpost, found north of the “K” in “Gorthak” on the map, is home to the Machina Knight — a two-phase boss that drops the Electro-Mecha Longsword. This weapon carries 27 Attack Damage with Lightning Affinity, meaning hits can stun and electrocute enemies. Interacting with the Machina Knight triggers the Blade of Discipline Delesyia faction quest automatically. Our guide on how to get the Electro-Mecha Longsword has the full boss breakdown.
There’s also the Electro-Mecha Spear, another mechanical weapon you can track down in this region. See our guide on how to get the Electro-Mecha Spear for where to find it.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Mechahorse
Grab it right before an underwater section. Since the mount disappears when you dismount, the best approach is to pick it up specifically when you need it — particularly before diving into underwater exploration.
Don’t bother fighting your way to it. The NPCs watching the horse are not a real obstacle. Ride up, mount it, and leave. Fighting them wastes time and draws more attention than just grabbing the horse cleanly.
Keep a mask in your quick slot. If you frequently steal items or mounts, having a mask ready without opening your inventory saves you from fumbling with menus in front of NPCs. Our full pickpocketing guide covers how the stealth and crime systems work in detail.
Pair it with the Vibrant Dye cosmetics system. Unfortunately, you can’t dye the Mechahorse the way you can regular horse gear, since it can’t equip armor. But if you want to customize your main permanent mount’s look while you’re in the Delesyia area, the Vibrant Dye quest walkthrough will get your dye system fully unlocked.
