TL;DR
- Silver Ore is one of the rarest minerals in Crimson Desert — used to upgrade jewelry and craft Gold Bars
- The best location is the Heart of the Saint cave at Three Saints’ Falls, just north of Hernand
- You need the Stab skill and Force Palm to get inside — both available in Chapter 1
- Bring a Pickaxe for faster mining — get one from Rhett’s Request or the Provisioner’s Shop in Hernand
- Use Stab on the waterfall to pass through, then use Force Palm to break the boulder inside
- One visit yields 25–30 Silver Ore — the largest single deposit in the game
- A second location exists at Ancient’s Heart Cave, near The Ancient Rift north of Three Saints’ Falls
- The ore respawns over time, so revisit regularly for repeated farming runs
Silver Ore is one of the most important crafting materials in Crimson Desert and one of the hardest to find. Unlike Iron or Copper Ore, which turn up constantly while exploring, Silver Ore only appears in a handful of well-hidden cave locations. The game gives you no map marker, no quest pointer, and no NPC directions. You just have to know where to look.
This guide covers all confirmed Silver Ore locations, exactly how to reach each one, what abilities you need, and what the ore is used for. For more help across the game, visit our full Crimson Desert guide hub.
What Silver Ore Is Used For
Silver Ore is a refinement material processed at the Blacksmith. Its main use is upgrading jewelry to higher tiers. Accessories in Crimson Desert max out significantly later with Silver Ore as a requirement, making it one of the key materials blocking your progression if you have not stocked up.
Silver Ore can also be used in crafting Gold Bars. One Gold Bar can be made from 3x Brimstone, 3x Mercury, and 10x Silver Ore. Gold Bars are worth depositing at the Bank in Hernand, where they can be invested for passive returns. See our how to get Gold Bars guide for more on the investment system.
The ore also sells directly for solid profit if you have more than you need, making it a reliable income source on top of its crafting uses. See our how to make money fast guide for silver farming strategies.
What You Need Before You Go
Two things are required before you can reach the main Silver Ore deposit. Skip either one and you cannot get inside the cave.
Stab Skill — You need at least Level 1 of the Stab skill to pass through the waterfall covering the cave entrance. If your skill screen shows Level 1/3 or higher, you are good to go. Stab is performed with R1+Triangle on PlayStation, RB+Y on Xbox, or Left Shift + Left Mouse Button on PC.
Force Palm — You need Force Palm to break the boulder blocking the deeper section of the cave. Force Palm is learned automatically during Chapter 1 of the main story, so you should have this early on.
Pickaxe — You do not strictly need a Pickaxe since you can break Silver Ore nodes with Force Palm or Turning Slash. But the Pickaxe is much faster and more efficient when farming a large deposit. Get one by completing Rhett’s Request in Hernand — talk to Rhett in the early game and follow his commission. If you skipped that quest, you can buy a Pickaxe cheaply at the Provisioner’s Shop in Hernand town. See our Rhett’s Request guide for help completing the quest.
Make sure your inventory has enough space before heading out. A single cave run can yield up to 30 pieces of Silver Ore, and a full inventory means leaving ore on the ground.
Silver Ore Location 1 – Heart of the Saint Cave (Best Spot)
Location: Three Saints’ Falls, north of Hernand — Heart of the Saint waterfall cave

This is the best Silver Ore farming location in Crimson Desert. A single visit yields 25 to 30 Silver Ore — the largest confirmed concentration in the entire game. It is accessible very early, right after you have both the Stab skill and Force Palm from Chapter 1.
How to Find Three Saints’ Falls
Head north from Hernand City. Three Saints’ Falls is a waterfall area located just above the city, sitting roughly below the “D” in the Hernand label on your world map. The falls consist of multiple cascading waterfalls flowing down into the river below. The cave entrance is hidden behind one of the waterfalls on the right side.
Look for a small plateau or stone formation near the base of the right waterfall. This small stack of rocks is the visual cue that marks the correct entry point. Waterfall caves in Crimson Desert always have a small cairn or stone formation nearby to indicate that you can pass through.
How to Get Inside
Step 1 – Reach the midpoint rock. Climb up to the rock that sits roughly halfway up the right waterfall. It must be a rock that directly touches the falling water. You cannot enter the waterfall from ground level — the water pushes you back. Getting to that midpoint ledge is the key.

Step 2 – Face the waterfall and use Stab. Stand directly in front of the waterfall, facing it. Perform the Stab move (R1+Triangle / RB+Y / Left Shift+LMB). Kliff will dash through the falling water and land on the other side, inside a small cave chamber behind the falls.
Step 3 – Break the boulder with Force Palm. Once inside the initial chamber, look ahead for a large boulder blocking the path deeper into the cave. Use Force Palm to shatter it. This opens the narrow passage leading to the ore deposits.

Step 4 – Squeeze through and mine. Follow the narrow cavern through the passage until you arrive at the inner chamber. You will see multiple Silver Ore deposits glimmering on the cave walls and floor. Use your Pickaxe to mine them one by one. If you do not have a Pickaxe, Force Palm and Turning Slash also break the nodes, though less efficiently.
One complete mining run through the Heart of the Saint cave will leave you with 25 to 30 Silver Ore in your inventory. The ore respawns after a period of real or in-game time, so this location is worth revisiting regularly.
Silver Ore Location 2 – Ancient’s Heart Cave
Location: Near The Ancient Rift, north of Three Saints’ Falls in Hernand

A second confirmed Silver Ore location exists further north, near The Ancient Rift — a major point of interest on the map between Hernand and Pailune. Head straight north from Three Saints’ Falls and you will find the Ancient’s Heart Cave close to The Ancient Rift area.
This cave is also accessed by using Stab to pass through a waterfall. Inside, players have reported collecting around 23 Silver Ore per visit. It is smaller than the Heart of the Saint cave but worth hitting if you are already in the area exploring the Ancient Rift puzzle or passing through on the way to Pailune.
Note that the Ancient Rift area also holds the Ancient Ruins puzzle which rewards an Abyss Cresset fast travel point and an Abyss Artifact. If you are in the region, do both in the same run. Our how to get Abyss Cells guide covers Abyss rewards and progression.
Mining Tips for Silver Ore
Use a Pickaxe every time. Force Palm works in a pinch but it is slower. The Pickaxe mines ore cleanly and quickly. If you forgot to bring one, buy another at the Provisioner’s Shop before your next run.
Combine your Silver Ore runs with other nearby activities. Three Saints’ Falls sits just north of Hernand. While you are in the area, check the river for other cave entrances — waterfall caves in Crimson Desert almost always contain Palmar Pills, hidden chests with armor or weapons, or unique loot. Getting Silver Ore and scouting nearby caves in the same trip saves a lot of travel time.
Stock up before major crafting or upgrades. Because Silver Ore only appears in a few locations and the game gives no warning before you need it, it is worth doing a few farming runs before you hit mid-game and realize your jewelry upgrades are stalled. A stockpile of 30–60 Silver Ore puts you in a comfortable position for several upgrade tiers.
Sell excess ore for silver. If you have more Silver Ore than you need for crafting, sell the surplus at any merchant. It fetches a solid price and keeps your coin purse topped up. Our how to trade goods guide and how to unlock the Mineral Shop guide can help you move resources more efficiently.
Check the Mineral Shop in Cairn House. After clearing out Cairn House, located north of Three Saints’ Falls, the Mineral Shop opens for business. It sells Iron Ore and Copper Ore regularly. It may also stock Silver Ore occasionally as the game’s merchant inventory systems refresh. Worth checking during any visit to the area.
What Other Ores Are Nearby
While you are in the Three Saints’ Falls area farming Silver Ore, a few other resources are worth grabbing on the same run:
Iron Ore — Scattered around Anvil Hill south of Hernand and along its base. Multiple nodes spawn along this route. Our how to get Iron Ore guide has the full list of spots.
Diamonds — Found in the Hernand Highlands Cavern, south of Hernand City just west of Specter’s Hideout. Around 10 Diamonds per visit. Enter through the narrow cave opening below the Dragon Stone Cavern path.
Bismuth Ore — Dropped by Stoneback Abyss Crabs near Drakesfall Castle, south of Anvil Hill. These enemies are tough but Bismuth Ore is valuable for mid-game gear upgrades. Our guide on how to get Abyss Cells covers the Drakesfall Castle farming loop.
Azurite and Scolecite — Found in the Deepwoods west of Hernand and along the outskirts toward Lioncrest Watchtower. Both sell for solid silver per unit.
Upgrading Accessories with Silver Ore
Once you have a stockpile of Silver Ore, head to Turnali the Blacksmith at Hernand City. Silver Ore is specifically required to upgrade jewelry to Tier 4 and Tier 5 levels. Accessories in Crimson Desert provide important passive bonuses — critical rate, movement speed, stamina regen, and more — so keeping them at maximum refinement matters in the mid-to-late game.
For a full breakdown on accessories and which ones are worth prioritizing, see our accessories guide and how to reinforce equipment guide.
