But if you’re trying to get Oongka airborne with a Kuku Rocket Pack, you’ll need one. Here’s every way to find it.

What Is the Peddler’s Pack For?

The Peddler’s Pack is a crafting material used to make the Kuku Pack. The Kuku Pack, combined with other materials, becomes the Kuku Rocket Pack — the item that lets Oongka fly the same way Kliff and Damiane do. You’ll need this later in the story when Oongka becomes a playable character.

To actually craft the Kuku Pack, you also need to complete the Sanctum of Penitence Faction Quest to unlock Blueprint I: Kuku Pack, and you’ll need a Kuku Pot alongside the Peddler’s Pack. Crafting happens at Grimnir’s Kuku Shop in Kilnden Workshop. From there, the Kuku Rocket Pack upgrade unlocks after you receive a letter from Grimnir once Oongka joins your roster.

How to Get Peddler’s Pack in Crimson Desert

There are two ways to get it. One is low-risk but unreliable. The other is dependable but comes with consequences.

Method 1: Find It While Exploring

The first method is simply stumbling across a Peddler’s Pack while roaming the world. These can appear as random loot during exploration, but there’s no guaranteed spawn point. It’s completely down to luck.

The best way to improve your odds here is to get a pet. Pets automatically detect nearby items on the ground, including rare finds like the Peddler’s Pack. If you’re running through regions without one, you’re likely walking right past things you can’t see.

This method has zero risk to your reputation, but if you’re in a hurry or need the pack quickly, it’s not dependable enough to rely on.

Method 2: Take It from a Roaming Merchant

This is the faster, more reliable method. Roaming merchants — including the Secret Shop — often carry a Peddler’s Pack on their back. You can force them to drop it.

There are two ways to do this:

Option A — Threaten the Merchant

1. Equip your Mask before approaching anyone.
2. Walk up to the merchant.
3. Press the lantern button to bring up interaction options.
4. Choose to threaten them, punch them, or simply draw your weapon.

The merchant will feel threatened and drop the Peddler’s Pack. Once it’s on the ground, approach and pick it up. This will trigger a Theft Bounty and spawn a red AoE around you. Walk out of the AoE zone, then remove your Mask to clear it.

Option B — Use Bandits as a Distraction

This method lets you avoid the Threat Bounty entirely:

1. Locate a roaming merchant near a bandit camp.
2. Put on the Mask.
3. Start a fight with nearby Bandits.
4. Lead the Bandits toward the merchant as they chase you.

The merchant will panic and drop the bag on their own. Depending on whether the merchant flees or lingers near the pack, you’ll either just pick it up freely or need to steal it quickly. If stealing is required, exit the red AoE before it registers the theft.

The Contribution Level Trade-Off

Both theft methods will lower your Contribution Level. Every crime you commit chips away at it, regardless of whether you get caught. However, your actual Contribution Points — the currency you spend at Faction Contribution Shops — are not affected. You’ll still be able to spend them normally. Tips To Make It Easier

A few things worth keeping in mind before you go hunting:

• Always wear the Mask when interacting with merchants for theft. Going bare-faced will make the reputation hit worse and make you easier to identify.

• Keep your pet active at all times. Even if you’re hunting merchants, the pet will flag any ground spawns you might otherwise miss while moving through the area.
• Don’t commit other crimes right before this. If your Contribution Level is already low, the extra hit might cause problems with active faction quests or shop access. Earn some goodwill first with comrades or trade runs.
