TL;DR
- Blazing Fire is a Chapter 8 main quest — infiltrate Azerian Manor to find Myurdin’s whereabouts
- Best entry: climb the back of the manor to the roof, then drop onto the front balcony
- Guards can be fought and defeated — you only fail if you lose the ground QTE twice in a row
- Inside, find the awkward-looking wall on the upper floor hallway and push it to enter the secret chamber
- Pick up the Investigative Report and read it from your inventory — just picking it up is not enough
- Three optional memory fragments are hidden inside: Fireside Story, Azerian Manor, and Bountiful Harvest
- Completing the quest forms a formal alliance with House Azerian and starts the Whispering Shadows quest
The Blazing Fire quest is one of the more memorable infiltration missions in Crimson Desert. It’s the 109th main mission in the game and takes place in Chapter 8 — Blood Coronation. Kliff needs to sneak inside Azerian Manor in the Demeniss region to dig up information on Myurdin’s location.
The manor has guards patrolling inside and outside. The objective text tells you that you cannot be detected — but that’s a bit misleading. You’ll find out exactly what that means below.
You can play Crimson Desert on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, or Epic Games Store. Check the official Crimson Desert website for the latest news.
Quest Overview: Blazing Fire
Chapter: 8 — Blood Coronation Sub-Chapter: To Demeniss Quest Number: 109 Prerequisite: Complete the Chasing a Shadow main quest Reward: Formal alliance with House Azerian is formed Leads into: Whispering Shadows quest
The quest starts at a map marker in the middle of the Demeniss region, roughly south of the letters “DE” in “DEMENISS” on the map. Walking close to that spot will automatically update your objective and point you a couple hundred meters to the northeast, where the manor is located.
Can Guards See You During This Quest?
Yes — and it’s fine.
Despite the objective saying you cannot be caught, guards spotting you does not fail the quest. You can fight them and take them out without any penalty.
The only way to actually fail is through the QTE (quick time event) that triggers if a guard grabs and wrestles Kliff to the ground. When this happens, a button prompt appears on screen. Press it quickly. If you fail the prompt twice in a row, the encounter fails. One miss is forgivable — two is not.
As long as you respond to that prompt fast, feel free to deal with any guards you come across.

How to Infiltrate Azerian Manor in Crimson Desert
Step 1 — Climb the Back of the Manor
The safest entry is through the roof. Head to the back of the Azerian manor, where no guards are stationed. Climb up the wall to reach the rooftop. The back side is the blind spot — no patrol coverage up there.

Step 2 — Drop onto the Front Balcony
Once you’re on the roof, make your way across to the front side of the building. From there, you’ll see a balcony below you. Drop down onto it.

Step 3 — Enter Through the Balcony Door
As soon as you land on the balcony, go straight through the door before any guard inside has time to react. Moving quickly here helps you avoid unnecessary confrontations on the upper floor.

Step 4 — Find the Secret Wall
You’re now on the upper floor of the manor. Head into the hallway and look for a section of wall that looks slightly different from the rest — it has an unusual texture or framing compared to the surrounding walls. This is the rotating wall panel.
Walk up to it and push it. The wall swings open, revealing a hidden chamber behind it.
Step 5 — Get the Investigative Report
Head through the secret passage to the end of the chamber. You’ll find the Investigative Report on the bedside table. Pick it up.
Important: Picking it up is not enough. You need to open your inventory and read the report from there. The quest won’t progress until you do.
Step 6 — Exit the Secret Chamber
Leave the secret room the same way you entered. A cutscene will play shortly after. This triggers the formal alliance between Kliff and House Azerian, ending the Blazing Fire quest and beginning the Whispering Shadows quest.

All Three Memory Fragments Inside Azerian Manor
Completing the main objective is the priority, but while you’re inside the manor, there are three optional memory fragments (blue ghost memories) to discover using Kliff’s lantern. These aren’t required for quest completion, but they add lore about House Azerian and are worth collecting if you want the full picture.
Here’s where to find each one.

Memory 1 — Fireside Story
This memory is on the second floor, inside the room directly in front of the secret wall entrance. Walk into the room and aim your lantern at the center of the room. This lets Kliff learn and replay the Fireside Story memory.
Memory 2 — Azerian Manor
After getting the first memory, head downstairs to the ground floor. Find the portrait of a woman hanging on the wall. Aim your lantern at the painting to learn and replay the Azerian Manor memory.
Memory 3 — Bountiful Harvest
From the painting location, head north to find the kitchen. Aim your lantern at the center of the kitchen to learn and replay the Bountiful Harvest memory.
That’s all three. You can collect them in any order — before or after finding the secret room — as long as you do it before the cutscene triggers.

What Happens After Blazing Fire?
The cutscene at the end of Blazing Fire wraps up the infiltration and officially locks in the political alliance between Kliff’s group and House Azerian. This has consequences later in the story, so pay attention to the dialogue.
After the cutscene, you’ll automatically move into the Whispering Shadows quest, which sends Kliff to a different manor in a nearby region. That mission involves another infiltration, another set of memories, and a more dangerous encounter once you’re inside.

Quick Recap
The Azerian Manor infiltration is one of the smoother stealth segments in Crimson Desert once you know the route. Climb the back, drop to the balcony, push the odd-looking wall, read the report from inventory, and collect the three memories while you’re inside. Guards won’t fail the quest unless you botch the grab QTE twice, so there’s no reason to stress about being seen.
