What Is the Goblin King’s Treasure Dagger?
The Goblin King’s Treasure Dagger is a unique Mythic-grade dagger in Crimson Desert. According to the lore, it was the most prized possession of the goblin who amassed all the world’s treasures — and an eerie whisper of greed supposedly clings to anyone who holds it.
In practical terms, the dagger has two things going for it. First, it boasts Critical Rate Lv. 5, which is the highest critical rate of any weapon in the game. Second, it has a passive skill that gives you a 10% chance to obtain extra hide every time you skin an animal.
That skinning bonus is huge. Daggers in Crimson Desert are not usually used as your main combat weapon. They sit in a dedicated slot and apply their passive bonuses automatically, even when not actively equipped in hand. So this dagger basically gives you free bonus materials every time you hunt — no strings attached.

Mudridge Cabin Location
The Goblin King’s Treasure Dagger is hidden inside the Mudridge Cabin in Pororin Forest. Here is exactly where to find it on the map:
- Directly north of Pororin Village
- East of the Sanctum of Temperance
- Southeast of Unicorn Cliff and the Goldleaf Guildhouse
The fastest way to get there is to fast travel to the Pororin Forest Abyss Nexus, which sits south of the Goldleaf Guildhouse. From there, head east past the Sanctum of Temperance and you will reach the muddy swamp where the cabin stands.
Warning: The mud surrounding the cabins drains your health continuously and slows your movement to a crawl. Do not walk through it carelessly. Use Kliff’s Aerial Force Palm to gain height from a nearby ridge and glide directly onto the wooden platforms of the buildings. This skips the mud entirely.
How to Get the Goblin King’s Treasure Dagger — Step by Step
Step 1: Clear the Bandits
When you first arrive at Mudridge Cabin, the area will be occupied by bandits. You cannot interact with any puzzles or chests until the area is fully liberated.
Use ranged attacks like a bow or gun to pick off the snipers on the cabin rooftops first. Then deal with the rest on the ground. Once the “Area Liberated” message appears, you are clear to explore.
Step 2: Identify the Two Buildings
There are two structures rising out of the marsh. One is the taller cabin with a hut-style building on top — this one contains the Strongbox puzzle and door puzzle. The other is the shorter building with a nearly flat surface on top. The dagger is in the shorter one.
Step 3: Reach the Lower Platform of the Shorter Building
Go to the shorter building and climb down to the platform that sits just above the marsh level. Do not drop into the mud. The platform runs along the lower section of the structure.
Step 4: Find the Hidden Opening
Look around the platform carefully. You will spot a small opening in the side of the building near the platform. It is easy to miss if you are not looking for it. Jump into the opening to enter a narrow corridor inside the structure.
Step 5: Crouch Through the Passageway
Once inside, crouch and move forward carefully. There are rotating planks in the corridor that you need to get past. Take your time and squeeze through. The passage is tight but manageable.
Step 6: Open the Chest
Follow the path to the end of the corridor. You will find a glowing treasure chest. Interact with it to collect the Goblin King’s Treasure Dagger.
Pro tip: If you have the Pirate King Hat equipped, it will detect nearby hidden treasure chests like this one and make them easier to spot.
Other Rewards at Mudridge Cabin
While you are here, it is worth grabbing everything else the cabin has to offer. There are two sliding tile puzzles that give good early rewards.
The Strongbox puzzle is in the taller cabin. Climb the wooden posts on the outside of the building to reach the second floor. The strongbox is right inside the door on your left. Solving the sliding tile puzzle rewards you with the Flower Petal Earring, a unique accessory that also acts as a music box.
The door puzzle on the lower cabin rewards you with the Alchemy Recipe for Meliara’s Lesser Elixir, which boosts your max HP and attack speed for five minutes. That is a solid elixir to have on hand for boss fights, especially before you stock up on Refined Palmar Pills.

Why the Goblin King’s Treasure Dagger Is Worth Getting Early
Most players skip daggers entirely because they seem like weak secondary weapons. That is a mistake.
In Crimson Desert, equipped items apply their stats and passives even when you are not actively using them in combat. The dagger slot is essentially a passive gear slot. So by having this dagger equipped, you are getting Critical Rate Lv. 5 — the highest in the game — applied to your character at all times.
The 10% extra hide bonus stacks up fast too. If you do any amount of hunting and skinning throughout the game — which you will, especially for crafting armor and gear upgrades — that bonus saves real time over a full playthrough. Equip the dagger before you skin a kill, then switch back to your combat setup. It takes two seconds and pays off constantly.
Because Mudridge Cabin is accessible early and the walk from the Pororin Forest Abyss Nexus is short, there is really no reason to delay grabbing this. It does not require any story progress. Just get there, clear the bandits, and follow the steps above.
