Build Guide – Best Relics, Light Cone & Teams
💎 S+ TIER AoE FUA DPS 💎Debt Collector · Queen of Pure Fiction
Jade — a senior manager of the IPC Strategic Investment Department, one of the legendary Ten Stonehearts whose Cornerstone is “Jade of Credit,” a cold and calculating moneylender who extracts value from her clients through her infamous Bonajade Exchange — is a 5-star Quantum Erudition character and the premier AoE Follow-Up Attack DPS in Honkai: Star Rail. As of February 2026 and HSR 4.0, Jade maintains dominant S+ Tier and EX Tier status in Pure Fiction, consistently listed among the game’s most powerful multi-target DPS characters by Mobalytics, Prydwen, and the wider community.
Jade’s kit is built entirely around two interconnected systems: the Debt Collector buff — placed on an ally to generate Charge stacks via their attacks — and the Pawned Asset / Talent Follow-Up Attack — fired at 8 Charge stacks to deal devastating AoE Quantum DMG to all enemies while ramping Jade’s own CRIT DMG via Pawned Asset stacks. In AoE-heavy content, Jade’s FUA fires multiple times per cycle, each hit contributing to Pawned Asset’s CRIT DMG ramp (up to +60% CRIT DMG at max 50 stacks) and her AoE Basic Attack — the first in the game to deal Blast DMG without any enhancement — provides constant off-turn DPS. She is a dual-role character: both a premier damage dealer and a sub-DPS partner for The Herta, Himeko, and FUA team compositions.
Meta Context — February 2026
Kit Breakdown & Core Systems
The Debt Collector buff is the engine of Jade’s entire kit. Understanding exactly how Charge generates determines which teammates to use:
- Jade applies Debt Collector to one ally (or herself, without the SPD bonus). The buffed ally gains +30 SPD for 3 turns and deals additional Quantum DMG equal to 15% of Jade’s ATK each time they attack — but each hit drains 2% of their Max HP.
- Charge generation: Jade gains 1 Charge per enemy hit by the Debt Collector’s attacks, and 1 Charge per enemy hit by Jade’s own attacks. More enemies hit = more Charge. A single AoE skill hitting 5 enemies grants 5 Charge at once.
- At 8 Charge stacks, Jade immediately fires her Talent FUA — AoE Quantum DMG to all enemies. Jade then gains 5 Pawned Asset stacks. After the Ultimate, the next two FUAs are enhanced with +40% DMG multiplier.
- Why high-frequency AoE matters: Against 5 enemies, one AoE skill from the Debt Collector = 5 Charge. Reaching 8 Charge after just 2 attacks. Against 1 enemy, it takes 8 hits to generate the same Charge — dramatically slower FUA frequency. This is the fundamental reason Jade requires an AoE-capable partner at E0.
- HP drain management: The 2% HP drain per hit is meaningful in extended fights. Lingsha as Debt Collector is particularly synergistic — her emergency heal A6 trace fires when she falls to 60% HP, and Fuyuan independently heals the team, keeping Lingsha’s HP loop sustainable.
Charge Source Breakdown
Best Light Cones
Yet Hope Is Priceless
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Signature — Best in Slot
Why it’s #1: Jade’s signature was precision-designed for her CRIT DMG–heavy playstyle. It provides +16–28% CRIT Rate (scaling S1–S5; at S1: +16%) — an enormous CRIT Rate gain that solves Jade’s most common relic constraint, allowing you to invest almost entirely in CRIT DMG substats instead of splitting between CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG.
The signature’s core passive: for every 20% CRIT DMG that exceeds 120%, Jade’s Follow-Up Attack DMG increases by 12–20% (at S1: +12% per 20% excess CRIT DMG, up to 4 stacks). At 260% total CRIT DMG (a reasonable target with Pawned Asset ramp), this provides up to +48% FUA DMG — a multiplicative amplifier applied specifically to FUA hits. Additionally, entering battle or using Basic Attack grants enemies a 2-turn debuff making them take +8% extra DMG from FUA and Ultimate. At S1, Yet Hope Is Priceless is Jade’s definitive best-in-slot LC with no close competitors.
Before Dawn
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jing Yuan’s Sig — Best Premade AltBest Non-Signature Option: Jing Yuan’s signature provides CRIT DMG +36% (base), Skill and Ultimate DMG +18%, and Follow-Up Attack DMG +24%. Every component benefits Jade: the CRIT DMG directly amplifies her Pawned Asset ramp, Skill DMG for Debt Collector application, Ultimate DMG for Voice of the Deep, and most importantly, +24% FUA DMG for the Talent FUA. At high CRIT DMG values, Before Dawn outperforms most alternatives for total FUA output despite lacking the CRIT Rate convenience of the signature. Highly recommended if you already own it.
Night on the Milky Way
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pure Fiction SpecialistPure Fiction Niche: Provides stacking ATK% for each enemy on the field (up to 5 enemies = up to +45% ATK), and when an enemy is Weakness Broken, a flat DMG% boost. In Pure Fiction with 5 enemies, Night on the Milky Way’s ATK stack is permanently at maximum — reaching exceptional ATK totals. Outside Pure Fiction (MoC with 1–2 enemies, AS single boss), the stacks collapse and it dramatically underperforms. A remarkable specialised choice for Pure Fiction–only Jade builds, but only if Pure Fiction is your exclusive use case.
Cruising in the Stellar Sea
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Standard — Balanced AltStandard Banner Reliable Option: +16% CRIT Rate (base), +8% additional CRIT Rate when the target’s HP ≤ 50%, and +20% ATK when defeating an enemy. The CRIT Rate bonus is substantial and directly addresses Jade’s need for high CRIT Rate to make her CRIT DMG ramp meaningful. The ATK bonus on kill procs frequently in Pure Fiction where enemies die rapidly. Available on the standard banner permanently. Strong and reliable — the best option for players without the signature who also don’t own Before Dawn.
The Seriousness of Breakfast
⭐⭐⭐⭐ F2P Stacking ATK + DMG%F2P Accessible Option: Increases DMG dealt by +12% (at S5: +24%) and stacks ATK% when defeating enemies (up to +4.8% per kill, maximum +24% ATK at S5 with max stacks). In Pure Fiction where enemies die constantly, the stacks are nearly always maxed. Provides a meaningful combined ATK% and DMG% buff that meaningfully improves Jade’s AoE output. Available from the Simulated Universe reward shop or events. Superimpose as a long-term F2P investment while saving for a 5-star alternative.
Today Is Another Peaceful Day
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Max Energy Scaling OptionMax Energy Niche LC: Deals DMG equal to a percentage of the wearer’s Max Energy when using Skill or Ultimate. Jade’s Max Energy is 140 — so this LC converts Energy capacity into bonus damage on Skill/Ultimate uses. More of a novelty pick that adds burst to the Ultimate use specifically. Not recommended as a general choice — Before Dawn, Cruising in the Stellar Sea, and The Seriousness of Breakfast all outperform for sustained FUA DPS. Use only if the others aren’t available.
Community guidance from Prydwen and multiple analysis sources agrees: for Pure Fiction dominance, prioritise the Signature LC first, then E1. The CRIT Rate from the Signature LC is more immediately impactful than E1’s Charge bonus in a high-enemy-count environment where Charge already generates quickly from AoE hits. However, for overall versatility (MoC viability), E1 is the recommended first investment — E1’s bonus Charge for 1–2 target hits transforms Jade’s single-target Charge generation from weak to functional, opening up MoC team slots she’d otherwise be inefficient in.
Best Relic Sets
4-Piece Cavity Relics
Why it’s #1 with Signature LC: The CRIT Rate from the Signature LC (+16% at S1) already covers Jade’s rate needs — allowing the relic set to be chosen entirely for damage amplification rather than stat compensation. Genius provides Quantum DMG +10% (enhancing all of Jade’s Quantum attacks) and up to 20% DEF ignore against enemies without Quantum Weakness — the majority of Pure Fiction enemies. In multi-enemy waves where many targets are not Quantum-weak, Genius consistently applies 20% DEF ignore to all of Jade’s AoE FUA hits, providing exceptional multiplicative damage enhancement. Recommended: Genius 4-piece with Signature LC.
Why it’s Best Without Signature: Without the Signature LC’s CRIT Rate, Jade needs CRIT Rate from her Body piece and substats — reducing budget for other offensive stats. Ashblazing compensates with direct FUA DMG% (+20% from 2-piece) and rapidly stacking ATK% (Jade’s FUA hits all 5 enemies = 5 hits per FUA = +30% ATK instantly, reaches +48% ATK on the second FUA). Ashblazing works regardless of Quantum Weakness — making it universally applicable across all content types without restriction. Recommended: Ashblazing 4-piece without Signature LC.
When to Use: The best 2+2 hybrid option, combining both offensive bonuses without committing to a 4-piece’s specific condition. Loses Genius’s 10–20% DEF ignore (which requires Quantum Weakness context to determine value) and Ashblazing’s ATK stack (which is conditional on FUA frequency). Community analysis from Prydwen shows this 2+2 is competitive with both 4-piece sets in most scenarios when individual piece quality is high. Use when your best-rolled relic pieces come from both domains.
Planar Ornaments
Why it’s #1 in Erudition Teams: Jade’s primary teams almost always include another Erudition character — The Herta, Himeko, or Herta itself. This makes Izumo’s condition trivially met in every Standard Jade team, providing free +8% CRIT Rate and +12% ATK simultaneously. The CRIT Rate is particularly valuable for builds without the Signature LC (reduces CRIT Rate substat investment). In The Herta teams specifically, Izumo grants Jade +8% CRIT Rate automatically from the moment battle begins — enabling higher CRIT Rate thresholds without sacrificing substat budget. Approximately majority of endgame Jade players use Izumo in Erudition compositions.
When to Use: In dedicated FUA teams (Feixiao, Aventurine, Topaz, Moze) where multiple ally FUA characters fire follow-ups constantly, Merit stacks accumulate rapidly and provide an enormous +25% FUA DMG and +25% CRIT DMG combined bonus. In a Feixiao + Topaz + Robin + Jade team, Merit reaches 5 stacks within 1–2 cycles — making Duran outperform Izumo in pure FUA team contexts. Not as strong in Erudition teams where non-FUA Erudition characters don’t generate Merit stacks efficiently.
When to Use: If Jade already comfortably exceeds 50% CRIT Rate (from Signature LC + CRIT Rate substats), Salsotto provides a free +15% FUA and Ultimate DMG — competitive with Izumo’s CRIT Rate contribution in scenarios where the rate threshold is met without the Izumo bonus. Falls off if CRIT Rate is below 50% without it. A conditional but strong option in highly-invested builds where maintaining the 50% threshold is trivial.
Stat Priorities
Main Stats
CRIT Ratio Targets
Jade benefits from acting before her Debt Collector target thanks to her A2 trace (50% advance at battle start) — this guarantees she applies Debt Collector on Turn 1 before the AoE driver’s first attack. Beyond this, Jade’s SPD should target 134+ SPD as a comfortable endgame baseline, with the A2 advance effectively giving her faster apparent turn order than raw SPD suggests. In teams with Robin (who advances all allies 100%), SPD tuning becomes less critical as the team advance compensates for slow individual SPD. Higher SPD on Jade (150+) enables more Basic Attack Blast hits and more frequent Debt Collector refreshes — meaningful but not mandatory over CRIT stats.
Substat Priority
- CRIT DMG — Jade’s most impactful substat by an overwhelming margin. Pawned Asset’s self-ramp (up to +60% CRIT DMG) multiplies off base CRIT DMG — every % of base CRIT DMG is amplified further during peak stack periods. Signature LC’s FUA DMG bonus also scales directly with CRIT DMG excess over 120%. Stack as much CRIT DMG as possible in every available substat slot after CRIT Rate is sufficient. Aim for 200%+ base CRIT DMG before Pawned Assets.
- CRIT Rate — Must remain high enough that Jade crits consistently — the Pawned Asset CRIT DMG ramp is only valuable if those crits actually land. Target 65–70% CRIT Rate before Pawned Asset consideration. With Signature LC + Izumo, much of this is covered passively. Without the Signature LC, invest more substat rolls in CRIT Rate or use a CRIT Rate body piece. Priority drops after the rate threshold is reliably met.
- ATK% — All of Jade’s damage formulas (FUA, Debt Collector bonus Quantum DMG, Basic Attack Blast) scale with ATK. Higher ATK means every FUA hit deals proportionally more damage, and the Debt Collector’s 15%-of-Jade’s-ATK bonus Quantum DMG is also directly enhanced. Third priority after CRIT stats are satisfied — roll ATK% in remaining substat slots.
- SPD — More turns means more Blast Basic Attack Charge contribution, more Debt Collector refreshes (Debt Collector duration decreases on Jade’s turns), and more Ultimate uses for enhanced FUA windows. Roll SPD after CRIT and ATK% targets are met. SPD boots are default — supplement with SPD substats to reach the 134+ baseline.
- Flat ATK — Less efficient per roll than ATK% but still contributes meaningfully to overall ATK total. Fill remaining substat slots after all other priorities are satisfied.
Trace Priority
- Talent — “Fang of Flare Flaying”
Higher Talent levels increase the base DMG multiplier of the Talent FUA — the primary source of Jade’s total DPS. Every Talent level directly improves every FUA firing during the entire fight. Max first. This is non-negotiable — the Talent FUA is Jade’s defining damage tool and its level affects every single hit she deals from it. - Ultimate — “Voice of the Deep”
Higher Ultimate levels increase the AoE Quantum DMG dealt and the Enhanced FUA boost duration. The Ultimate’s primary value comes from activating the +40% FUA DMG bonus for the next 2 FUAs — higher levels ensure the Ultimate’s own damage contribution is not negligible, and it contributes to Charge if Debt Collector is active. Second priority alongside Skill during initial investment. - Skill — “Acquisition Surety”
Higher Skill levels increase the Debt Collector’s bonus Quantum DMG per hit (% of Jade’s ATK scales at higher levels) and the HP drain amount. The most impactful Skill scaling is the bonus Quantum DMG that fires on every Debt Collector action — in high-frequency teams, this bonus Quantum DMG fires dozens of times per cycle. Third priority — upgrade after Talent and Ultimate are invested. - Basic Attack — “Business as Usual”
Lowest priority for Jade — despite being uniquely AoE (Blast), Jade uses Basic Attack primarily as a Charge generation tool in rotations where SP is tight. Higher Basic Attack levels increase Blast DMG output slightly. Upgrade after the other three traces are at comfortable levels, or skip if resources are limited.
A2 — “Margin of Profit”: At the start of battle, Jade’s action advances forward by 50%. Essential for the Turn 1 Debt Collector application — Jade acts before virtually all allies and enemies, immediately granting +30 SPD to the AoE driver for the critical opening wave. Without A2, Jade may not act first and the Debt Collector delay costs Charge generation in the first cycle. Unlock first.
A4 — “Through Adversity Grows”: When enemies enter battle, Jade gains 1 Pawned Asset stack. When a Debt Collector’s turn starts, Jade gains 3 additional Pawned Asset stacks (accelerating toward 50-stack CRIT DMG cap). The 3 stacks per Debt Collector turn means Jade begins ramping CRIT DMG before even firing her first FUA — significantly accelerating the peak-performance window. Unlock second.
A6 — “Creditor’s Protection”: When Jade has 15+ Pawned Asset stacks, she gains +8% Effect RES and takes reduced DMG from debuffs. A defensive quality-of-life trace — once Jade has used Technique (15 stacks at battle start), she’s immediately protected. Secondary value compared to A2 and A4 but worth unlocking for survivability in content with heavy enemy debuff application.
Best Team Compositions
💎 The Herta + Jade — Erudition Supremacy
The defining Jade composition in HSR 4.0 and her highest-performing context across both Pure Fiction and Memory of Chaos. Prydwen notes that Jade offers The Herta “the most consistent and frequent stack and Energy generation of all her Erudition options, on top of granting her +30 SPD via Debt Collector.”
Why this team is exceptional: Jade applies Debt Collector to The Herta, granting her +30 SPD for 3 turns — dramatically accelerating The Herta’s action frequency during the critical early cycles where Interpretation stacks and Energy need to build. Every AoE attack The Herta makes then generates massive Charge for Jade (5 enemies = 5 Charge per The Herta action), enabling rapid FUA cycles. Each of Jade’s FUAs also generates Interpretation stacks on enemies for The Herta’s own mechanics.
Lingsha as Debt Collector variant: An alternative setup where Jade applies Debt Collector to Lingsha instead of The Herta. Lingsha can sustain the HP drain through Fuyuan’s healing, and Fuyuan’s own AoE hits against enemies (advancing Jade’s Charge accumulation) while Lingsha’s Skill hits and Ultimate hits generate Charge simultaneously — creating a triple-source Charge loop (The Herta + Lingsha + Fuyuan all generating Charge for Jade). Prydwen specifically highlights this interaction: “The synergy becomes especially strong with Sunday to constantly advance both Lingsha and Fuyuan.”
💎 Jade + Himeko / Herta — Classic PF Erudition
The traditional Pure Fiction Jade team — her original high-performance composition before The Herta’s release and still an excellent budget alternative. Himeko‘s high-frequency AoE follow-up attacks (triggered whenever any enemy takes Break DMG or after her own Ultimate) generate enormous Charge for Jade with each multi-target hit. Herta‘s Skill deals Blast AoE that hits all enemies adjacent to the target, and her follow-up fires when any enemy’s HP drops below 50% — meaning she fires constantly throughout wave fights.
The key mechanics: Jade applies Debt Collector to Himeko. Himeko’s frequent AoE FUAs (which hit all 5 enemies in a Pure Fiction wave) generate 5 Charge per proc — Jade’s FUA fires after just 2 Himeko FUAs. Meanwhile, Herta contributes additional AoE Quantum/Ice hits and her bounce mechanics compound with each defeat. This team is extremely accessible — Himeko and Herta are both obtainable at E6 for free/low cost, making this one of the most F2P-viable Jade compositions available. Lingsha as sustain provides additional Fuyuan-driven Charge generation while healing Himeko’s HP drain from Debt Collector.
💎 Jade FUA Team — Robin-Powered
Jade’s strongest non-Erudition team — slotting into the FUA archetype as a sub-DPS alongside Feixiao. Feixiao generates Flying Aureus stacks from every 2 ally attacks, and Jade’s frequent Talent FUAs contribute stacks directly — Jade’s AoE FUAs count toward Feixiao’s Ultimate charge, and Feixiao’s multi-hit Ultimate counts as a FUA (triggering Duran’s Merit stacks and Jade’s FUA CRIT DMG scaling).
Robin’s Concerto advances the entire team simultaneously, and Robin’s Concerto proc fires every time any ally attacks — Jade’s FUA hits trigger Robin procs repeatedly, making Robin generate substantial additional DPS from Jade’s multi-target hits. Additionally, Robin’s permanent +25% FUA CRIT DMG from her A4 trace applies to all of Jade’s Talent FUAs — a significant multiplicative amplifier. Use Duran ornament in this team instead of Izumo (no second Erudition to trigger the bonus). Lingsha as sustain provides Fuyuan-generated Charge for Jade even in this non-Erudition context.
💎 Jade + Blade — HP Drain Loop
A unique and thematically fitting pairing — Jade applies Debt Collector to Blade, granting him +30 SPD and triggering his HP drain mechanic simultaneously. Blade’s own kit is designed around losing HP — every 10% HP lost increases his attack frequency and triggers his FUA. Jade’s Debt Collector drains 2% of Blade’s HP per attack, which is a beneficial interaction for Blade as it accelerates his own FUA triggers without requiring him to be hit by enemies.
Blade’s FUA can hit up to 5 enemies (AoE) when triggered — generating 5 Charge for Jade per Blade FUA in multi-enemy content. Blade’s Basic Attack also always hits 3 targets (Blast) — contributing 3 Charge per action consistently. Bronya or Sunday provide action advance so Blade acts more frequently, generating more HP drain cycles and more Charge. Prydwen notes this team: “Blade benefits from the pairing more than Jade — he wants to lose HP to get more frequent FUAs.” Best in Pure Fiction and MoC phases with 3+ enemies.
💎 F2P-Friendly Jade AoE Team
A fully accessible Pure Fiction team for players without limited 5-star partners. Herta (obtainable at E6 from the Herta Store for free — universally accessible) is Jade’s most cost-effective AoE partner: her AoE Skill hits multiple enemies, her follow-up fires every time any enemy falls below 50% HP (constantly in Pure Fiction waves), and her frequent Ice attacks generate substantial Charge for Jade even without The Herta’s premium synergy.
Ruan Mei (rerun standard-adjacent limited character) provides RES PEN, SPD buff, and Break Effect — all useful for the team’s AoE output. Without Ruan Mei, Asta (free 4-star from the Herta Store) provides SPD buff and ATK% to the team, adequately filling the support slot. Gallagher sustains through Break-triggered healing without SP cost. This team clears Pure Fiction easily and handles MoC 10–12 in multi-target phases — a strong free-to-build composition that showcases Jade’s core kit without premium investment.
Eidolons Guide
| Eidolon | Effect | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| E0 | Full base kit — Debt Collector SPD buff + HP drain, Blast Basic Attack (first in HSR), Talent FUA at 8 Charge hitting all enemies, Pawned Asset CRIT DMG self-ramp to +60%, Ultimate enhancing next 2 FUAs by +40%, A2 first-turn action advance, A4 Charge acceleration. Jade is strong and functional at E0 in Pure Fiction but heavily reliant on a high-frequency AoE driver to generate Charge quickly against multi-enemy waves. In MoC with 1–2 enemies, E0 Jade struggles to generate Charge fast enough for consistent FUA firing. | Strong in AoE |
| E1 | “Altruism: Another Name for Profit” — Jade’s Talent FUA DMG increases by +32%. Additionally, when a Debt Collector ally attacks 1 enemy, Jade gains +1 extra Charge; when the Debt Collector ally attacks 2 enemies, Jade gains +2 extra Charge.
The +32% FUA DMG is a significant personal damage amplifier — Jade’s primary damage tool instantly hits harder. The bonus Charge for 1–2 target hits is arguably more impactful for team building: at E0, single-target DPS as Debt Collector generates only 1 Charge per attack (8 hits to FUA). At E1, 1-target hits give 2 Charge and 2-target hits give 3 Charge — cutting FUA trigger time roughly in half in single-target scenarios. This transforms Jade’s MoC viability, allowing non-AoE drivers (Feixiao, Acheron) to serve as Debt Collectors without crippling FUA frequency. Major versatility upgrade. |
MoC Viability Unlock |
| E2 | “Self-Assertion: The Cost of Trust” — When Jade’s Pawned Asset stacks reach 15 or more, her CRIT Rate increases by +15%.
With the Technique granting 15 stacks at battle start, E2’s +15% CRIT Rate activates before the first action — effectively providing permanent free CRIT Rate throughout any battle where the Technique is used. This enables more investment in CRIT DMG substats (since Rate is partially solved by E2) and allows Jade to exceed the 1:2 CRIT ratio target more easily. Strong quality-of-life and damage upgrade, particularly for builds using Genius 4-piece that depend on high CRIT Rate to leverage the Signature LC’s CRIT DMG-to-FUA DMG conversion formula. |
Strong CRIT QoL |
| E4 | “Profit: Words Engraved Upon Bones” — After Jade uses her Ultimate, all her attacks ignore 12% of enemy DEF for 3 turns.
12% DEF ignore on all attacks for 3 turns after Ultimate — this applies to Basic Attacks, Skill-triggered bonus DMG, Talent FUAs, and the Ultimate itself. A blanket multiplicative damage amplifier that compounds with Genius’s conditional DEF ignore (total up to 32% DEF ignore after Ultimate in optimal conditions). Meaningful DPS increase but conditional on Ultimate being used recently — in rotations where Ultimate is used frequently (energy-efficient builds), E4 contributes meaningfully every cycle. |
Solid DMG Boost |
| E6 | “Debt Resolved: A Feast for the Worthy” — When there is a Debt Collector ally on the field, Jade’s Quantum RES PEN increases by 20%, and Jade herself also gains the Debt Collector state (without SPD boost or HP drain — purely the Charge-generation effect).
20% Quantum RES PEN is an extraordinary multiplicative damage amplifier — the same stat category as Ruan Mei’s All-Type RES PEN, applying multiplicatively to all of Jade’s FUA damage, Basic Blast, and Ultimate. Jade also becoming the Debt Collector herself means she generates Charge from her own attacks (in addition to a designated Debt Collector partner’s attacks) — dramatically increasing Charge accumulation rate and FUA frequency. E6 Jade doubles down on everything that makes her exceptional in Pure Fiction. Whale-tier but extraordinarily powerful. |
Whale Tier — 20% RES PEN |
For Pure Fiction dominance: Prioritise Signature LC first — the CRIT Rate from the LC frees relic budget for maximum CRIT DMG, and the CRIT DMG-to-FUA DMG formula at high stacks is extraordinarily powerful. Then E1, then E6 (the Quantum RES PEN is exceptional in PF with 5 targets). For overall versatility (MoC viability): Prioritise E1 first — the bonus Charge for 1–2 target hits transforms Jade from AoE-dependent to genuinely functional in all content. Then Signature LC. The choice depends entirely on which endgame content you prioritise.
Should You Pull Jade?
✅ Pull If:
- You own or plan to pull The Herta — Jade is The Herta’s most synergistic Erudition partner, providing +30 SPD via Debt Collector and generating Interpretation stacks for The Herta’s mechanic. Their combined PF output is the benchmark for the mode.
- You want to dominate Pure Fiction — Jade is EX Tier in PF and has been consistently near the top of the mode since her release. No character provides more reliable, consistent AoE FUA output for wave-clearing content.
- You own Himeko, Herta, or other AoE Erudition characters — even without The Herta, Jade’s Charge generation in AoE-heavy teams makes her Pure Fiction output exceptional with budget partners.
- You want a self-ramping CRIT DMG character — the Pawned Asset system means Jade becomes progressively more powerful as a fight progresses, rewarding longer combat encounters rather than requiring burst setup.
- You enjoy the dual-role playstyle — Jade serves as both primary DPS and a SPD buffer for her partner, making team building both flexible and interesting. At E1, she slots into MoC and FUA teams with minimal adjustment.
⚠️ Consider Skipping If:
- Your primary endgame focus is Apocalyptic Shadow single-boss content — Jade is genuinely weak in pure single-target scenarios at E0 and is not recommended as the primary AS DPS
- You don’t have and don’t plan to build any AoE DPS partner (The Herta, Himeko, Herta, Feixiao) — Jade’s Charge generation is severely hampered without a multi-hit partner at E0
- You already have The Herta but lack a second Erudition unit — without Jade or another Erudition, The Herta’s own activation condition requires a different team structure that doesn’t need Jade specifically
- You’re saving for a Break or single-target DPS whose team you’re actively building — Jade’s strength is highly mode-specific
Final Verdict: Jade is the premier AoE FUA DPS in Pure Fiction and one of the strongest multi-target characters in HSR’s history. Her self-ramping CRIT DMG through Pawned Assets, the unique Blast Basic Attack for constant Charge generation, and her extraordinary synergy with The Herta and Himeko make her an EX Tier investment for Pure Fiction–focused players. Her mode-specific weakness (Apocalyptic Shadow single-boss) is a real limitation to acknowledge — Jade excels in the AoE environments she was designed for and struggles outside them at E0. At E1, her MoC viability improves dramatically. A must-pull for players building AoE, Erudition, or FUA teams.
Jade vs Other S+ Tier DPS — Where Does She Fit?
vs The Herta: They are partners, not competitors — The Herta is the primary DPS of the pairing while Jade serves as sub-DPS, Charge generator, and SPD buffer. Together they represent the premier Pure Fiction side. Build both for maximum PF performance.
vs Feixiao: Feixiao is the premier single-target FUA DPS; Jade is the premier AoE FUA DPS. In FUA teams, Jade can serve as an AoE sub-DPS partner alongside Feixiao — they complement rather than compete. Feixiao handles single-target; Jade handles waves.
vs Himeko / Argenti (Erudition): Jade surpasses Himeko in raw DPS output and CRIT DMG scaling. Argenti excels in single-target concentrate damage (Ultimate) and is stronger in MoC/AS. Jade is the AoE wave specialist. Himeko is accessible (4-star) and makes an excellent partner for Jade rather than a replacement.
vs Acheron: Acheron dominates in Nihility-support Lightning DoT teams and multi-hit Ultimate phases. Jade dominates in AoE Erudition wave clearing. Different archetypes — Acheron for MoC/AS; Jade for PF. Both are S+ Tier in their respective specializations.
