Who Is Lingsha in Honkai Star Rail?
Lingsha is a 5-star Fire character on the Path of Abundance. On paper she’s a healer. In practice she’s one of the most versatile support units in the game. She’s the Cauldron Master of the Xianzhou Luofu’s Alchemy Commission — quick-witted, calm on the outside, and absolutely loaded with utility on the battlefield.
What separates Lingsha from every other healer in HSR is Fuyuan — her incense beast companion. Fuyuan acts independently on the field, launching follow-up AoE Fire attacks, dispelling debuffs from allies, and healing the team every time it takes a turn. Lingsha feeds Fuyuan actions through her Skill and Ultimate, and the result is a sustain unit that contributes DPS, Break support, and emergency cleansing all at once. As of Patch 4.3, she’s still a top-tier sustain choice and arguably the best healer for Break-focused teams.
Lingsha Skills Breakdown
Basic ATK – Thorough Fragrance
Standard single-target Fire damage equal to 100% of Lingsha’s ATK. It also regenerates 10 Energy thanks to her Bonus Trace. Not something you’ll be using often, but it keeps the Energy flowing when you need it.
Skill – Parca’s Blade
This is the ability that keeps everything running. Lingsha deals Fire AoE damage at 80% ATK to all enemies and simultaneously restores HP for all allies equal to 14% of her ATK plus a flat 420. On top of that, Fuyuan’s action advances forward by 20%. If Fuyuan isn’t on the field yet when you use the Skill, it gets summoned here with 3 action counts and a starting SPD of 90. Every time you use the Skill while Fuyuan is active, you replenish 3 action counts. Keeping Fuyuan on the field is the entire job — and this is how you do it.
Ultimate – Smoke and Mirrors
Lingsha’s Ultimate does two powerful things at once. It deals Fire AoE damage to all enemies at 150% ATK and heals all allies for 12% ATK plus a flat 360. More importantly, it inflicts Befog on all enemies for 2 turns. While Befog is active, enemies take 25% increased Break DMG. It also advances Fuyuan’s action forward by 100% — basically giving Fuyuan an immediate extra turn. This is a huge damage amplifier for any Break team and the main reason Lingsha is such a strong fit in that archetype. Use this as often as possible.
Talent – Yatta-Charma
This is the Fuyuan system in full. When Fuyuan takes action on its turn, it launches a follow-up attack hitting all enemies for 75% ATK Fire DMG, then hits one random enemy for another 75% ATK — prioritising targets with Toughness remaining and Fire Weakness. Each Fuyuan action also dispels 1 debuff from every ally and heals the team. Fuyuan can stack up to 5 action counts at a time. When the count runs out or Lingsha goes down, Fuyuan disappears. The entire loop is: Skill to summon and recharge Fuyuan, Ultimate to boost its action speed and apply Befog, repeat.
Technique – Smoke Illusory
Use this before combat to immediately summon Fuyuan at the start of the next battle and apply Befog to all enemies for 2 turns from turn one. A clean way to front-load Break DMG amplification before anyone even acts.
Lingsha Best Relics in 4.3
Best 4-Piece Relic Set – Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge
The same set used by Firefly and Rappa is also Lingsha’s best in slot. The 2-piece gives 16% Break Effect right away. The 4-piece kicks in when Break Effect hits 150%, reducing the DEF ignored by Super Break DMG. Push past 250% Break Effect and you hit the maximum efficiency. Since Lingsha’s Bonus Trace already converts Break Effect directly into ATK and Outgoing Healing, stacking this stat benefits her offensively and defensively at the same time. It’s a perfect fit.
Alternative – 2-Piece Iron Cavalry + 2-Piece Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations
If your Iron Cavalry pieces aren’t good enough yet, this hybrid is a solid fallback. You still get the 16% Break Effect from Iron Cavalry, and Watchmaker’s 2-piece gives another 16% Break Effect. You lose the 4-piece bonus but the Break Effect floor is identical. Useful while farming better pieces.
Alternative – 4-Piece Thief of Shooting Meteor
Thief gives strong Break Effect and Energy Regeneration on its 4-piece. The Energy helps cycle Lingsha’s Ultimate more consistently, which means more Befog uptime and more Fuyuan action advances. A decent option if you’ve already got good Thief pieces farmed from Boothill or other Break characters.
Best Planar Ornament – Talia: Kingdom of Banditry
The 2-piece gives 16% Break Effect flat. When Lingsha’s SPD hits 145 or higher — which it should — she gets an additional 20% Break Effect on top. That’s 36% total Break Effect from just the Planar slot, which directly feeds her ATK and Healing scaling through her Bonus Trace. This is the go-to for most content.
Alternative Planar Ornament – Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern
Gives 6% SPD as a 2-piece and 40% Break Effect for 1 turn when hitting enemies with Fire Weakness. In Fire-weakness-heavy content this can outperform Talia. In general content it’s less reliable, but if you’re running Lingsha in a team with Firefly against Fire-weak enemies, this set goes absolutely off.

Best in Slot – Scent Alone Stays True (Lingsha’s Signature)
Lingsha’s signature is built entirely around her kit and it shows. It increases Break Effect by 60–100% depending on refinement level. After using her Ultimate to attack enemies, it inflicts the Woefree state on all targets for 2 turns — while Woefree is active, enemies take 10–18% increased damage from all sources. If Lingsha’s Break Effect is 150% or higher, that damage amplification gets an additional 8–16% stacked on top. In practice this means she’s applying a 26%+ teamwide damage vulnerability on enemies every time she Ultimates, on top of Befog’s 25% Break DMG boost. It’s the best Light Cone for her, and it isn’t particularly close.
Best Alternative – Echoes of the Coffin (Luocha’s Signature)
A strong second option. Echoes of the Coffin provides a big ATK% boost, which scales both Lingsha’s damage and her healing output. It also regenerates Energy for the whole team when she uses her Ultimate, boosting SPD for all allies by 12 for 1 turn. This SPD buff is genuinely useful in fast-cycling teams and makes Echoes a solid option in non-Break compositions where her signature’s Woefree effect matters less. Best F2P Option – Warmth Shortens Cold Nights
A 4-star Abundance Light Cone that increases max HP and restores HP for all allies when the wearer uses Basic ATK or Skill. Not as impactful as the premium options but widely available and keeps the team topped off in lower-tier content.
Other Viable Options
- Post-Op Conversation (4-star) — Increases Energy Regen Rate and boosts Outgoing Healing when using the Ultimate. Helps cycle Befog faster in fights where you need more frequent Ultimates.
- Perfect Timing (4-star) — Increases Outgoing Healing based on Effect RES. Useful if you’re stacking Effect RES on substats, but not a priority build path.
Lingsha Best Team Comps in 4.3
Premium Break Team – Firefly Core
This is one of the strongest sustained Break teams in the game and Lingsha is a cornerstone of it. Firefly is the main Break DPS, Ruan Mei amplifies Break damage and keeps enemies in the Broken state longer, and Lingsha sustains the team while contributing Fuyuan’s follow-up Break hits and the powerful Befog debuff from her Ultimate. Every character in this team synergises around Break mechanics simultaneously, making it one of the highest damage floors in any content.

Rappa AoE Break Team
Lingsha is the recommended sustain for Rappa teams in Pure Fiction. Fuyuan’s AoE follow-ups contribute to Break chains across entire waves, Befog stacks Break DMG on everything simultaneously, and the debuff cleansing keeps the team clean through multi-wave content. A highly consistent team for Pure Fiction ceiling scores.
Follow-Up Attack Team
Lingsha isn’t exclusive to Break teams. She works well in follow-up compositions too because Fuyuan itself is a follow-up attacker. Pair her with Feixiao or Topaz and Fuyuan’s constant follow-up hits stack extra procs on top of your team’s existing chain. The healing from Fuyuan also removes the pressure of pure healing-focused sustainers in aggressive comps.
F2P Break Team
No premium units? This team still works. Harmony Trailblazer enables Super Break, Gallagher provides Break-based sustain as a 4-star alternative, and Ruan Mei remains essential. Lingsha anchors the healing here where Gallagher might struggle in longer fights.

Lingsha Eidolons – Are They Worth It?
Lingsha at E0 is already excellent. Her Eidolons are a mixed bag, but E1 is a standout.
- E1: The best early Eidolon investment — so good that it’s genuinely recommended over getting her signature Light Cone first. It massively boosts Lingsha’s Breaking capacity and adds a teamwide DEF shred component, which Super Break scales particularly well off. A huge damage increase across the whole team.
- E2: Adds a small chance to deal extra Fire Break DMG when Fuyuan acts. Decent but not a reason to chase further Eidolons.
- E4: When Fuyuan takes action, it restores additional HP equal to 40% of Lingsha’s ATK to the lowest-HP ally. A nice emergency healing safety net but not a priority.
- E6: Fuyuan’s presence on the field reduces all enemies’ All-Type RES by 20%, and Fuyuan’s follow-up attack gains 4 additional damage instances at 50% ATK each, with extra Toughness Reduction to random enemies. This is a massive DPS upgrade but insanely expensive to reach. Only realistic for whale-tier investment.
Lingsha Trace and Ability Priority
Level her Ultimate first — Befog is core to her identity as a Break support and more Ultimate levels mean more Break DMG amplification. Then upgrade her Talent for stronger Fuyuan follow-ups and better healing per tick. Skill goes next since it’s how you maintain Fuyuan’s action count. Basic ATK can stay at level 1 throughout. Unlock all Bonus Traces as they come online — especially the one that converts Break Effect into ATK and Outgoing Healing, since that’s what makes her stat build so efficient.
How to Play Lingsha – Tips and Tricks
Lingsha’s entire rotation is about keeping Fuyuan alive. If Fuyuan disappears because you ran out of action counts, you lose all of Lingsha’s follow-up healing, debuff cleansing, and AoE Break contributions until you re-summon. Always use her Skill before Fuyuan’s count hits zero.
Use her Technique before every serious fight. Starting with Fuyuan already on the field and Befog already applied to all enemies means your first wave of attacks is already hitting for 25% more Break DMG before anyone takes a turn. It’s free damage and you should never skip it.
Lingsha doesn’t directly heal through her Skill and Ultimate in the same way most Abundance characters do — her primary healing delivery system is Fuyuan’s follow-ups. This means healing is steady and AoE but not bursty. In content with big single-hit damage spikes, you may want to hold her Ultimate to time the heal and Fuyuan action advance for right after a big enemy hit.
Also remember that Befog only lasts 2 turns. Keep track of when it expires and try to cycle her Ultimate consistently enough to maintain it. In Break-heavy teams with fast action economies — especially with Ruan Mei extending Break states — this uptime is usually easy to maintain.
Is Lingsha Still Good in Patch 4.3?
Yes, comfortably. Lingsha remains one of the best sustain units in HSR as of Patch 4.3. Nothing in the current patch has displaced her from Break teams, and her dual role as healer and Break amplifier gives her value that pure healers like Huohuo or Luocha simply can’t match in that specific context. If you’re running a Break team, she’s almost certainly your best sustain option. If you’re running a follow-up team, she’s a genuinely competitive alternative to Aventurine. Versatile, strong, and well worth building.
