The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells is the second chapter of Chulkaturin’s hidden questline in Genshin Impact 7.0. It picks up right where Ever Beneath the Waves left off — the fae Chulkaturin has drifted to the docks of Morepesok in the Everfrozen Earth region and needs your help again. This time he wants to renovate his cabin, but the building materials are scattered across the water, blocked by ice and guarded by enemies. Your job is to collect all three sets of reinforcement materials and bring them to his house using Grapple Constructs. The quest does not appear on the map beforehand, which means most players miss it entirely. Like Ever Beneath the Waves, it only triggers when you physically approach the location. Completing it unlocks the third and final chapter of the chain — In the Tranquility of Cycles at Tidesong Cavern. How to Unlock The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells
The only prerequisite is completing the Ever Beneath the Waves quest in Volkodlak Tundra. That quest rescues Chulkaturin from beneath the ice and ends with him heading to Morepesok to begin repairs on his home. After finishing it, travel to the Morepesok docks and the next chapter begins automatically.
There are no additional Archon Quest requirements and no story gates. As long as you have completed Ever Beneath the Waves, walking up to the cabin at the Morepesok dock is all it takes.
Where to Find The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells

The quest is located at the Morepesok docks in the Everfrozen Earth region of Snezhnaya. Teleport to the nearest Morepesok waypoint and head north to the dock area. You will see the Wooden Cabin floating on ice among the icebergs at the pier. Walk toward it and a conversation with Chulkaturin triggers automatically as you close in.
Chulkaturin recognizes you immediately and explains what he needs. He has located building materials nearby but cannot reach them himself — they are surrounded by ice and, in one case, protected by enemies. He asks you to move the Wooden House on Ice toward each floating supply cache and bring the materials back.
The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells – Full Walkthrough
After the opening dialogue completes, three quest markers appear on your map. Each marker represents one cache of reinforcement materials that Chulkaturin needs. You need to collect all three sets. The method is the same across all three: use Prime Ice Construct tools to remove ice blockades, clear enemies where present, and use Grapple Constructs to drag the materials or the house into position.
Step 1 – Head to the First Quest Marker and Remove the Ice

Follow the first quest marker on your map. You will find a set of supply boxes blocked by a Prime Ice blockade. Open the Prime Ice Construct menu and select Refund on the ice formation to remove it. This clears the path to the boxes and allows them to float freely.
Once the ice is gone, use the Grapple Gun Construct to drag the boxes toward the quest’s collection point. Place the Grapple at the marked position on the quest tracker. The boxes will pull toward the anchor. If they do not move immediately, try placing the Grapple closer to the boxes or stand on top of the floating platform and place it from there to get a closer anchor range.
Step 2 – Clear Enemies at the Second Marker and Collect Materials

Move to the second quest marker. This cache is guarded by a group of enemies. Defeat them first before attempting to interact with the boxes. Once the enemies are cleared, use the Refund option from the Prime Ice Construct menu to remove the ice covering the second set of boxes, then use another Grapple Construct to bring them in.
This is the step that trips up most players — the enemies respawn quickly if you try to place Grapples while combat is still happening. Fully clear the enemy group first, then handle the ice and the Grapple in peace.
Step 3 – Collect the Third Set of Materials
Head to the third and final quest marker. This cache has ice blocking it as well. Remove the blockade using the Prime Ice Construct menu’s Refund option, then drag the remaining materials in using a Grapple Construct.
Once all three sets of materials are collected and moved to the correct position, the final step is to bring the house itself to the materials. Place a Grapple Construct at the edge of the house’s platform, and the house will auto-drag toward the boxes. If the boxes are still out of range, drag them a little closer using another Grapple first, then place the house-side Grapple. Once the house reaches the materials, the objective completes and the collection cutscene triggers.
Alternative Method – Move the House Directly
Some players have reported success by skipping the multi-step dragging process. After removing the ice blocking the boxes, try building a Grapple Gun Construct at the edge of the Wooden House’s platform first. If the boxes are close enough, the house will pull itself directly toward them without needing to drag the boxes in stages. This shortcut works depending on the position of the boxes after the ice is removed. If it does not work, fall back to the step-by-step method above.
Completing the Quest and Collecting Rewards
After the house reaches the third set of materials, exhaust the dialogue with Chulkaturin. He shares more about his past and hints that there is still one more thing left for him to settle — this is how the game signals that a third quest exists. Make sure to listen through his dialogue fully; it contains lore relevant to the final chapter and tells you where to go next.
Once all dialogue ends, a Precious Chest spawns near the dock. Claim it before leaving the area — it is easy to walk away without noticing it appeared.
The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells Quest Rewards
- 1 Precious Chest (spawns near the dock after the quest ends)
- Primogems
- Mora
- Hero’s Wit
- Adventure EXP
What Comes Next – In the Tranquility of Cycles
Completing this quest unlocks the third and final part of Chulkaturin’s story: In the Tranquility of Cycles. That quest is located at Tidesong Cavern in Fellfrost Peak. It does not appear in the quest log until you physically visit Tidesong Cavern, so go there after finishing this quest to trigger it. Once triggered, you will find the Wooden Cabin floating inside the cavern, and Chulkaturin will speak to you one last time in a lengthy concluding cutscene that brings his story to a close.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you unlock The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells in Genshin Impact?
Complete the Ever Beneath the Waves quest in Volkodlak Tundra first — it is the only prerequisite. After finishing it, travel to the Morepesok docks in the Everfrozen Earth region and approach the Wooden Cabin floating among the icebergs at the pier. Getting close enough automatically triggers a conversation with Chulkaturin and starts the quest. No Archon Quest progress or other unlocks are required beyond Ever Beneath the Waves.
How do you collect reinforcement materials in The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells?
There are three sets of materials, each marked by a quest marker on your map. For each one, use the Prime Ice Construct menu’s Refund option to remove ice blockades around the supply boxes. Clear any enemies that appear before touching the boxes. Then use a Grapple Construct to pull the boxes toward the house’s platform or pull the house toward the boxes. Once all three sets of materials are collected and the house is alongside them, the objective completes.
What quest comes after The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells?
The final chapter of Chulkaturin’s questline is In the Tranquility of Cycles, which takes place at Tidesong Cavern in the Fellfrost Peak area of Snezhnaya. After completing The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells, travel to Tidesong Cavern and the quest appears automatically when you reach the location. It does not show up in your quest log beforehand, so you must physically visit the cavern to trigger it.
Why is the house not moving toward the boxes in The Sunken Ship Sailed Past, Ringing No Bells?
The Grapple Construct has a limited pull range. If you place the Grapple at the edge of the house’s platform and the house does not move, the boxes are still too far away. First drag the boxes closer by placing a Grapple near them from the shore. Once the boxes are within range of the house platform, place a new Grapple at the edge of the platform and the house will pull itself toward the boxes automatically.
