All Local Legends in Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact are part of the Snezhnaya Valiant Chronicles introduced in Version 7.0. There are three of them: Churin, Banje, and Furiosa. Each has three combat objectives on top of just defeating them. Finishing all nine objectives rewards you with 180 Primogems in total. These are mini-boss fights with special mechanics, so knowing what each one needs before you go in saves a lot of time. This guide covers every Local Legend location, how to beat them, and how to clear all their objectives. If you are exploring the Fellfrost Peak area, you may also want to check out the House of Hesperides challenges and Vershina’s Kitchen Challenge nearby for extra chests and rewards.
What Are Local Legends in Genshin Impact?
Local Legends are special mini-boss enemies found across Teyvat. They were first introduced in Fontaine and have since appeared in every new region. They are enhanced versions of common or elite enemies with much higher stats and unique attack patterns. Each Local Legend is tracked through the Valiant Chronicles system, which you access by speaking to Katheryne at the Adventurer’s Guild. You need to reach Adventure Rank 55 to unlock the Valiant Chronicles. Each legend has three objectives, and completing each one gives 20 Primogems. You can also complete multiple objectives in a single fight if conditions allow.
How to Unlock the Snezhnaya Valiant Chronicles
To access the Snezhnaya Local Legends, you need to first unlock Snezhnaya by completing Archon Quest Prologue: Act III. After that, progress through the Archon Quest Chapter VII: Act I and complete Gunfire in the Silent Lands to open Snezhnaya world quests and exploration. Once you are in Snezhnaya, visit Katheryne at the Adventurer’s Guild to register for the Valiant Chronicles. After signing in, each Local Legend’s location is pinned on your map alongside a list of its objectives, so you never have to search blind.
All Snezhnaya Local Legends List
1. Churin – Fellfrost Peak Local Legend
Location: Fellfrost Peak, north of the House of Hesperides. Travel east from Svetloledovka and follow the road until you reach an ice-sculpture training ground run by a Volkodlak master named Bragin. Churin stands among his fellow apprentices there. Talk to Bragin and agree to the spar, fight through the apprentices first, and then challenge Churin directly to start the Local Legend battle.
Who is Churin? Churin is a Domovoy who trained in Prime Ice sculpting under Bragin. Despite looking frail, he is the strongest fighter in the training circle. His fighting style revolves around carving ice blocks into shapes mid-battle, which is the core mechanic you need to manage.

How to Beat Churin
During the fight, Churin summons ice blocks and starts carving them. If he finishes carving, he creates a Big-Mouthed Jack Frost that attacks you with powerful long-range shots. He also summons an Anemo vortex that damages you if you stay inside its area. Some of his attacks can one-shot your active character, so play carefully.
Use a Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl team to keep interrupting him. These reactions consistently stop his carving animations, while raw damage teams often fail to stop them in time. Bring strong burst damage to end the fight quickly.
Churin’s Three Objectives
- Objective 1: Defeat Churin. This is always the first step and must be done to register the others.
- Objective 2: Defeat Churin before he completes the Big-Mouthed Jack Frost sculpture. You must destroy or interrupt the ice carving before the sculpture finishes.
- Objective 3: Defeat Churin before he completes any ice sculpture three times. Even if no Big-Mouthed Jack Frost forms, he can still carve other shapes. Let it happen three times and this objective fails. Be fast and deal high damage throughout the fight.
Total Primogems from Churin: 60
2. Banje – Svetloledovka Underground Local Legend

Location: Underground area beneath an icy pathway in Svetloledovka, Snezhnaya. From the central Teleport Waypoint in Svetloledovka, descend into the valley and reach the bottom. Look for the entrance to the underground section, follow the path inside, and you will find a second Teleport Waypoint near the arena. Banje waits there.
Who is Banje? Banje is a creature created through bio-alchemy. It moves through rock, earth, ice, and snow, lurking in the dark and watching its prey. Most bio-alchemical experiments of its kind violated the laws of the world and failed — Banje is among the few that still remain.

How to Beat Banje
Banje has a unique mechanic tied to Electro. It has an indicator that fills up as you hit it with Electro. Once the indicator is full, Banje swells into a giant form. In this state, it moves slower but charges a super energy blast that can one-shot a low-HP character. Raw damage cannot interrupt this charge — you must use a Stellar-Conduct reaction to stop it. A recommended team is Cryo Traveler, Diona, Yae Miko, and Qiqi, which interrupts the blast reliably. After the charge attempt, Banje shrinks back to its miniature form.
Banje’s Three Objectives
- Objective 1: Defeat Banje. Standard completion requirement.
- Objective 2: Interrupt Banje’s super energy blast using a Stellar-Conduct reaction during its giant phase. You must trigger the reaction at the right moment before the blast goes off.
- Objective 3: Defeat Banje while it is in its miniature state. Save your highest burst damage for after it shrinks back from the giant form and finish it off then.
If you miss an objective, you can return after server reset and try again. The second underground Teleport Waypoint near the arena makes it easy to come back.
Total Primogems from Banje: 60
3. Furiosa – Everfrozen Earth Local Legend

Location: Everfrozen Earth, Snezhnaya. Find the Scars of Cursed Obsession domain, which is directly beneath Snezhnograd’s Central Station. From there, walk a short distance to the northwest and pass the train wreck. Furiosa waits in the open area nearby.
Who is Furiosa? Furiosa is a Volkodlak archer who survived near-death through alchemical modification. Her body was enhanced beyond normal biological limits, giving her authority over trees and roots. She was meant to fully transform into a higher life-form beyond time, but chose to stop at the final moment. As a result, her body remains in a state where it appears partly parasitized by trees. You may recognize her from a world quest boss fight earlier in Snezhnaya.

How to Beat Furiosa
Furiosa is the most forgiving of the three Local Legends. Her objectives do not lock you into a Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl team, so any strong party works. During the fight, she uses one of two special moves. She either creates one Hindering Root and burrows underground, or she creates two Hindering Roots and charges an Arrow Shower. You stop both moves the same way: destroy the Hindering Roots by hitting them. No specific elemental reaction is needed. Any damage works.
The main challenge is timing. When she burrows, she resurfaces quickly, so you must reach the single root fast. During the Arrow Shower, she takes longer to charge, but be careful not to let auto-aim lock onto Furiosa instead of the roots. Target the roots directly to interrupt both moves. Destroying the roots briefly stuns her, giving you a window to deal free damage.
Furiosa’s Three Objectives
- Objective 1: Defeat Furiosa. Standard completion requirement.
- Objective 2: Interrupt her Arrow Shower by destroying the two Hindering Roots before the attack fires.
- Objective 3: Interrupt her burrow by destroying the single Hindering Root before she resurfaces underground.
Both interrupt objectives can be done in the same fight. Watch for which move she uses and prioritize the roots over dealing damage to Furiosa herself.
Total Primogems from Furiosa: 60

Tips for Completing All Snezhnaya Local Legend Objectives
- Open the Snezhnaya Valiant Chronicles through Katheryne first. It pins all three locations on your map and lists each objective clearly.
- For Churin, treat every carving animation as a hard deadline. Bring high burst damage and Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl to interrupt him consistently.
- For Banje, use Electro attacks to fill the indicator early. Do not ignore the giant phase — that is where two of the three objectives are earned.
- For Furiosa, manually aim at the Hindering Roots and do not rely on auto-aim. She requires fast reactions, especially during the burrow move.
- All three Local Legends respawn after server reset. If you fail an objective in a run, you can try again the next day without losing progress on completed tasks.
- You only need World Level 9 to unlock the third objective for each legend.
