The House of Hesperides in Genshin Impact is one of the most content-packed locations in Snezhnaya. Found in the Fellfrost Peak sub-region, this grand Mountain Mansion belongs to Grand Duchess Pavlina and is stuffed with more than fifteen hidden challenges, puzzles, and mini-games spread across its floors. Each one rewards chests that contain Primogems, Intricately Patterned Buttons, and other valuable materials. This guide covers all House of Hesperides challenges and exactly how to solve every single one of them.
TL;DR
- The House of Hesperides is in Fellfrost Peak, Snezhnaya, and opens after obtaining an Invitation to the “Ritual” during the Hesperides of Love and Hate world quest.
- There are over fifteen challenges across the mansion’s floors, including Jack Frost puzzles, statue riddles, seating arrangements, a secret ceiling chamber, and a clock tower.
- Most challenges reward Exquisite or Precious Chests containing Intricately Patterned Buttons, Primogems, and level-up materials.
- Intricately Patterned Buttons are exchanged at Jack Frost Goodie Shop in Jack Frost Village for weapon skins, construct appearances, and more.
- Use the Eye of Graeae map to track which challenges you have and have not yet completed inside the mansion.
How to Unlock the House of Hesperides
Before you can access any challenges, you must unlock the Mountain Mansion itself. The House of Hesperides is located in Fellfrost Peak, the eastern and most difficult terrain zone in Snezhnaya. To get inside, you need to obtain an Invitation to the “Ritual” — this key item is given to you during the Hesperides of Love and Hate world quest chain.
To unlock this quest, you need to:
- Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom to enter Snezhnaya.
- Progress through Archon Quest Chapter VII: Act I – Everwinter Without Mercy and complete Gunfire in the Silent Lands to unlock Snezhnaya world quests.
- Start the Hesperides of Love and Hate quest chain, which leads to you receiving the Invitation to the “Ritual.”
Once inside, the mansion has multiple floors — the Main Floor (Mountain Mansion Front Hall) and an upper floor called House of Hesperides F2 — each containing different challenges. You can use the Eye of Graeae to open a map of the mansion and track which challenges remain incomplete.

First: Open the Locked Door
Before many of the challenges become accessible, you need to open a Locked Door somewhere in the mansion. This requires the Key of Ancient Design, which you find or earn during your exploration of the mansion. Seek out the key in the area and use it to unlock the door — this opens up additional rooms and challenge areas throughout the building.
All House of Hesperides Challenges
1. Hide-and-Seek Jack Frosts

Location: House of Hesperides Main Floor (Mountain Mansion Front Hall)
Reward: Exquisite Chest (possibly containing Intricately Patterned Buttons and Primogems)
Approach the group of four Jack Frosts on the Main Floor. Three of them will scatter and hide across the mansion. You need to find all three to complete the challenge.
- Jack Frost #1: Head southeast to the display shelf. Open the Prime Ice Construct menu, build a Grappling Gun (costs 7 Prime Ice) in front of the shelf, and hook onto it to destroy it and reveal the hiding Jack Frost.
- Jack Frost #2: Head northwest to an icy vase. Open the Prime Ice Construct menu, aim at the vase, and choose to dismantle it. The Jack Frost hiding inside pops out.
- Jack Frost #3: Look near the southern stairs for a barrel with a carrot nose. Attack the barrel to reveal the third Jack Frost hiding inside.
Once all three are found, return to the starting location to claim your Exquisite Chest.
2. Jack Frost at the Easel

Location: House of Hesperides Main Floor
Reward: Chest reward
Find the Jack Frost standing at an easel somewhere on the Main Floor. Interact with it to trigger a short painting-related activity. Follow the prompts and assist the Jack Frost with its artwork to complete the challenge and claim your reward.
3. Jack Frost in Different Hats

Location: House of Hesperides Main Floor
Reward: Chest reward
This challenge asks you to observe and interact with Jack Frosts wearing different types of hats around the mansion floor. Walk around and find each distinctly-hatted Jack Frost in the area. Interact with each one in the sequence the challenge requires to complete it.
4. Jack Frosts in the Kitchen

Location: Main Floor northwest corner, next to the kitchen — speak to Vershina
Reward: Common Chest (Q1), Exquisite Chest (Q2), Precious Chest (Q3-Q4)
Talk to Vershina near the kitchen in the northwest corner of the Main Floor. She will unlock the kitchen and ask you to observe the Jack Frosts inside, then answer her questions correctly.
The correct answers are:
- Q1 – How many Jack Frosts are wearing chef hats? Answer: Three → Rewards a Common Chest.
- Q2 – How many Jack Frosts did you see lying down asleep? Answer: Five → Rewards an Exquisite Chest.
- She then asks you to investigate the marks inside the kitchen and return.
- Q3 – Was the soup the Jack Frosts made any good? Answer: It looks dangerous
- Q4 – What ingredients did the Jack Frosts use in their soup? Answer: Red Beet → Rewards a Precious Chest.
5. Jack Frosts in the Wine Cellar

Location: Behind the right curtains near the southern stairs, basement area — speak to the Determined-Looking Jack Frost
Reward: Precious Chest (may contain Remnant Incense Guide – Fellfrost Peak)
Head south toward the stairs on the Main Floor, go behind the right curtains, and enter the wine cellar. Interact with the Determined-Looking Jack Frost standing in the corner and ask “What are you doing?” to start the challenge. Then interact again and press Start.
The task is to hit six rolling barrels northward toward the racking area where another Jack Frost is waiting. Stand next to the Determined-Looking Jack Frost and attack the barrels. They will fly north toward the racking area Jack Frost. Avoid the explosive barrels as you swing. Hit all six to make the Jack Frosts happy and earn a Precious Chest. The chest may contain a Remnant Incense Guide – Fellfrost Peak, which can be used to unlock the Fellfrost Peak seal.
6. Misaligned Statues

Location: House of Hesperides F2 (upper floor)
Reward: Exquisite Chest
On the second floor of the mansion, you will find two Elegant Snegurochka Statues that are facing the wrong direction. Read the note attached to each statue for its clue, then rotate each statue to face its matching painting on the wall.
- Statue 1 clue: “I shall walk into the forest depths, and in those depths, I shall transform and dwell amongst the green pines.” Solution: Rotate the statue until it faces the painting of pine trees on the wall. Press Rotate and Stop it at the right moment — it keeps turning if you do not stop it in time.
- Statue 2 clue: “I shall walk into the forest depths, and in those depths, I shall transform and stand amongst the white birches.” Solution: Rotate the statue to face the white birch painting on the floor next to the guardrail.
Once both statues are correctly aligned, an Exquisite Chest spawns.
7. VIP Lounge

Location: House of Hesperides, VIP Lounge area — speak to Lazoreva
Reward: Chest reward
Find Lazoreva in the VIP Lounge area of the mansion. She will give you a seating-related challenge. You need to sit in the correct seat in front of her to complete it. Follow her instructions about which seat to take and interact with the correct chair. Once you sit in the right spot as directed, the challenge completes and you earn your reward.
8. Musical Chairs Jack Frosts

Location: House of Hesperides, seating area
Reward: Chest reward
Find the group of Jack Frosts playing musical chairs. The challenge is a timing-based interaction — watch the Jack Frosts circle the chairs and interact with an empty one at the right moment to claim a seat and win the round. Time your interaction so you sit down when the music stops (or the equivalent in-game cue).
9. Seating Arrangements

Location: House of Hesperides, dining or seating area — speak to Abuzova
Reward: Chest reward
Talk to Abuzova about arranging the guests at the table. She will describe a set of rules about which NPCs — Zlatov, Iskelina, Koshakova, and Khmelyova — must or must not sit next to each other. Read the constraints carefully and then interact with the chairs to seat each NPC in the correct arrangement. Follow the logic rules she provides: one person must be next to another, or certain people cannot be adjacent. Once all guests are seated correctly, the challenge completes.
10. Bedroom

Location: House of Hesperides, Bedroom area
Reward: Chest reward
Inside the bedroom, you will find a Mountain Painting puzzle. The painting on the wall needs to be rotated to match the correct orientation. Interact with the painting and use the Rotate option to cycle through its orientations until it aligns correctly — the correct position shows the mountain scene in the proper upright orientation. Press Stop when it is in the right position. Once correctly rotated, the puzzle completes and rewards you.
11. Suspicious Ceiling and Secret Chamber in the Ceiling

Location: House of Hesperides, look upward on a specific floor
Reward: Chest reward including Cryo monument puzzle reward inside the secret chamber
At a specific spot in the mansion, the ceiling looks unusual. Interact with the Suspicious Ceiling to reveal a hidden trapdoor or opening that leads up to a Secret Chamber above. Once inside the hidden room, you will find a Cryo monument puzzle. Activate the Cryo monuments in the correct sequence or use Cryo attacks to light them all and unlock the chamber’s reward chest.
12. Mischievous Jack Frost

Location: House of Hesperides, somewhere in the mansion
Reward: Chest reward
A Jack Frost is causing trouble somewhere in the mansion — knocking things over, blocking paths, or playing pranks. Find it and interact with it to stop its mischief. The challenge may involve chasing it as it moves around, or catching it by approaching from the right direction. Once caught or calmed, the reward spawns.
13. Empty Display Stands

Location: House of Hesperides, display area
Reward: Chest reward tied to signs of friendship, motion, spring swelling, and solitude
Several display stands in the mansion are missing their decorative items. The challenge requires you to find the correct objects to place on each stand. Look around the mansion for items labeled with themes like friendship, motion, spring swelling, and solitude. Place each item on its matching stand based on the thematic clue attached to each empty pedestal. Once all stands have the correct item, the challenge completes.
14. Guardian of the Clock Tower

Location: Clock Tower inside or near the House of Hesperides
Reward: Chest reward
A guardian — likely an enemy or a Jack Frost acting as a sentry — blocks access to or within the Clock Tower. You need to defeat or get past this guardian to proceed. The battle likely involves Snezhnayan enemy types such as ice constructs or fae-type enemies. Use Stellar Glimmer reactions to interrupt and deal extra damage. After defeating the guardian, the Clock Tower area opens for exploration and rewards.
15. Lofty Clock Tower

Location: The Clock Tower, accessed after the Guardian challenge
Reward: Chest reward at the top
After defeating the Guardian of the Clock Tower, the tower itself is accessible. This is a vertical traversal challenge — you need to climb or navigate to the top of the Lofty Clock Tower. Use Prime Ice Constructs like the Launching Platform or Cube to reach higher floors if direct climbing is blocked. Watch out for moving mechanisms or platforms inside the tower. At the very top, a chest waits as the final reward for conquering the full clock tower challenge.
Special Rewards: Intricately Patterned Buttons
Many of the chest rewards inside the House of Hesperides contain Intricately Patterned Buttons — a special collectible currency tied to the mansion’s Jack Frost guests. These buttons are exchanged at the Jack Frost Goodie Shop in Jack Frost Village, which unlocks after completing the Small Jack Frost, Big Problems world quest.
Items available at the Jack Frost Goodie Shop include:
- A Touch of Frost in Scorching Summer! – a weapon skin
- Construct Appearance: Jack Frost – a Prime Ice Construct cosmetic
- Various level-up materials and Snezhnayan collectibles
Do not skip any of the mansion’s challenges — each chest is a chance to collect more buttons for these exclusive rewards.
Tips for Completing All House of Hesperides Challenges
Use the Eye of Graeae Mansion Map
Open your Eye of Graeae while inside the mansion to display a floor map of the House of Hesperides. This shows which rooms and areas you have and have not visited, helping you track down any challenges you missed. Check it after each floor sweep to make sure nothing is left incomplete.
Bring Prime Ice for the Grappling Gun
The Hide-and-Seek Jack Frosts challenge specifically requires 7 Prime Ice to build the Grappling Gun construct. Make sure you have enough Kresnik Energy stored in your Eye of Graeae before you begin, so you can build the construct without interruption. Refill from Mini Kresnik Torches or Kresnik Kristall Ores outside the mansion before entering.
Read Clues Before Acting on Puzzles
Several challenges — especially the Misaligned Statues and Seating Arrangements — give you clues in text or dialogue. Read each one carefully before touching anything. The Snegurochka Statue puzzle requires you to match each statue to its specific painting based on the riddle’s description. Acting without reading first can leave you cycling through orientations unnecessarily.
Do the Kitchen Challenge Before Moving On
The Jack Frosts in the Kitchen challenge has four separate questions and rewards three chests in stages. Answer correctly without reloading or leaving the area between questions. The answers are: Three, Five, It looks dangerous, Red Beet.
Watch Out for Explosive Barrels in the Wine Cellar
When hitting barrels in the Wine Cellar challenge, some barrels are explosive and should not be hit. Aim your attacks at the standard rolling barrels and avoid the ones with a fuse or glowing explosive indicator. Hit six correct barrels to complete the challenge without triggering the explosive ones.
