What Is Roger Finch’s Keycard and Why Do You Need It?

During the Knightfall mission, Bond and Greenway are working their way toward a location called The Perch. To get there, you need to reach the stairs — but the Level 1 doors blocking your path are locked. Roger Finch’s Keycard is the only way to open them.

Roger Finch is a Webb Industries employee. His keycard grants access to the Level 1 area so you can reach the staircase and continue toward your main objective. Collecting it also instantly unlocks the Exclusive Access challenge, which is one of the 23 challenges in Knightfall.

Where Is Roger Finch? Which Mission and Checkpoint?

Roger Finch is found in the Knightfall mission during the Executive 1st Floor section. The specific checkpoint is labelled 02 Executive 1st Floor, and the active objective at this point is Get to the stairs.

You will have just entered the area with Greenway and followed him into a hallway to examine a locked door. This is your cue to start the keycard detour.

Step-by-Step: How to Get Roger Finch’s Keycard

Step 1 — Wait for Greenway to Tell You to Split Up

When you and Greenway reach the locked door in the hallway, Greenway will assess the situation and tell Bond to split up. Wait for him to say this. Once he does, do not follow him — instead, head back outside the way you came in.

Step 2 — Use the Q-Lens on the Art Installation

Once outside, look around for the art installation — it is a large cube-shaped structure in the area. Equip your Q-Lens by pressing L1 on PlayStation or LB on Xbox and examine the art installation with it.

Interacting with it using the Q-Lens prompts Greenway to come over and give you a boost. He will lift you up so you can reach the platform above.

Step 3 — Cross the Balcony and Vault Over the Railing

Once Greenway boosts you up to the platform:

1. Head over to the balcony and walk south along it.
2. When you reach a locked door blocking your path, do not try to force it. Instead, vault over the railing and use the ledge to continue.
3. Shimmy along the ledge until you reach the open window on the other side.
4. Climb through the open window to get inside the building.

Step 4 — Head Downstairs to the Restroom

Once you are inside through the window:

1. Head down the stairs in front of you.
2. At the bottom, you will find the restroom.
3. Inside the restroom, you will find Roger Finch — he is not in great shape. The stall door on the left is locked.

Step 5 — Kick Down the Restroom Door

The locked stall door will not open normally. Kick it down by pressing Square on PlayStation or X on Xbox. This will not alert anyone or raise the alarm — it is safe to do. Roger Finch’s Keycard is inside. Pick it up.

Step 6 — Return to the Locked Door and Use the Keycard

With the keycard in hand, make your way back toward the main objective marker. The Level 1 doors that were previously locked will now open with Roger Finch’s Keycard. Head through and continue to the stairs. From there, you can proceed toward The Perch and the next stage of the Knightfall mission.

The Exclusive Access challenge completes automatically the moment you pick up the keycard.

What Is the Exclusive Access Challenge?

The Exclusive Access challenge is one of 23 total challenges in Knightfall. It is automatically unlocked when you collect Roger Finch’s Keycard from the restroom. There is no separate objective — simply following the steps above is enough to complete it.

If you missed it on your first run through Knightfall, use the 007 First Light mission replay feature to jump back to the Executive 1st Floor checkpoint without restarting the whole mission.

Is There Anything Else to Find in This Area?

Yes. The same route used to get Roger Finch’s Keycard also takes you past some collectibles worth picking up:

• City of London Postcard — After Greenway boosts you to the statue and you jump to the next balcony and shimmy over to the window, look to the left as soon as you climb through. The postcard is on the counter just inside.
• Wooden Spoon Intel (Roger Finch) — After you grab the keycard and use it to open the Level 1 doors, go through and look for the office labelled R. Finch on the left. Inside, you will find a wooden spoon collectible on a stand by the wall. Interact with it to collect the intel.

These two collectibles are easy to grab on the same run as the keycard. Do not skip the R. Finch office — it is directly on your path once the doors open.

How Does This Fit Into the Knightfall Mission?

Knightfall is one of the larger missions in 007 First Light, set inside Webb Industries and the Penthouse. The Roger Finch keycard section comes early in the mission, during the Executive 1st Floor phase. Once you have the keycard and reach the stairs, the mission continues through several more objectives, including the famous safe in Webb’s Office and the Crackerjack challenge.
