007 First Light: Trophy and Achievement Guide

007 First Light Trophy and Achievement Guide — all 38 trophies and 37 achievements explained with tips to earn the Platinum and 100% completion.

TL;DR

  • 007 First Light has 38 trophies on PS5 (1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 14 Silver, 20 Bronze) and 37 achievements on Xbox and PC.
  • Half the list unlocks automatically through story progression — nothing there is missable.
  • The remaining trophies cover 92 collectibles, 9 combat-specific actions, and 4 TacSim objectives.
  • No difficulty-locked trophies — everything can be done on Novice.
  • Chapter Select lets you return to any encounter to clean up anything you missed.
  • The Platinum is called “The name’s Bond. James Bond.”

007 First Light Trophy and Achievement Guide covers every trophy and achievement in the game, from the easiest Bronze pickups to the Platinum itself. The list is one of the more accessible in the action-adventure genre. There are no difficulty requirements, no multiplayer trophies, and Chapter Select is available to clean up anything you miss. Play through the campaign first, track your collectibles as you go, and then clean up the combat and TacSim objectives at the end. This guide breaks everything down clearly so you know exactly what is needed and how to get it.

Trophy and Achievement Overview

The total count differs slightly by platform. PlayStation 5 has 38 trophies including the Platinum. Xbox and PC have 37 achievements because those platforms do not include a Platinum equivalent. The breakdown on PlayStation is 1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 14 Silver, and 20 Bronze. The list splits into four categories: story trophies that unlock automatically, collectible trophies, combat challenge trophies, and TacSim trophies.

There are no difficulty-related trophies. You can play on Novice for the entire game and still earn every trophy and achievement. For difficulty options available, see the 007 First Light all difficulty settings guide.

Recommended Roadmap

The most efficient order to approach the Platinum or 100% completion is straightforward:

  • Step 1 — Complete the Campaign: All 18 hidden story trophies unlock automatically as you play. You also pick up most combat trophies naturally along the way.
  • Step 2 — Collect All 92 Collectibles: Use Chapter Select to return to any section and grab anything you missed. There are 36 Cards, 23 Intel files, 14 Mementos, 10 Postcards, and 9 Legacy Items.
  • Step 3 — Clean Up Combat Trophies: Any combat-specific trophies you missed can be farmed using Chapter Select on specific checkpoints.
  • Step 4 — Complete TacSim Objectives: The four TacSim trophies are quick and can all be done in under an hour once you understand the mode.

Story Trophies (Hidden — Unlocked Automatically)

There are 18 hidden trophies tied to campaign story progression. Every one of them unlocks automatically just by completing the relevant chapter. None can be missed. The descriptions below contain light story context — skip this section if you want to go in blind.

  • For king and country (Gold) — Defend MI6. This is the climax of the final mission, For England.
  • Solo — Leave MI6 as a rogue agent. Unlocks during the mid-campaign betrayal chapter.
  • The writing is on the wall — Catch Isola.
  • The remaining 15 hidden story trophies are spread across the 17 chapters and unlock naturally at key narrative moments. All of them pop through normal campaign play with no extra action required.

Since all story trophies are tied to fixed campaign beats, finishing the campaign guarantees all 18. For a full breakdown of the final mission where several of these pop, see the 007 First Light For England All Challenges guide.

Collectible Trophies

Collectible trophies make up the bulk of the non-story list. There are six of them, each tied to a different collectible type. 007 First Light has 92 collectibles in total across all 17 chapters.

  • Casino Royale — Collect all 36 Playing Cards.
  • For your eyes only — Collect all 23 MI6 Intel files.
  • Recovered assets — Collect all 14 Mementos.
  • The world is not enough — Collect all 10 Postcards.
  • A legacy of spycraft — Discover all 9 Legacy Items.
  • A collector’s habit (Gold) — Find all 92 collectibles. This unlocks automatically once the other five collectible trophies are all earned.

A few things to keep in mind for collectibles. There is no collectible tracker by chapter — only by type using the Touchpad or View button. From Chapter 4 onwards, the Q-Watch highlights nearby collectibles in yellow when you press L1 or LB. Always have it equipped while exploring. From Chapter 9, the Laser Strap gadget is required to reach certain collectibles that are behind locked objects. Keep it in your loadout from that point on. Nothing is permanently missable — Chapter Select lets you jump to any checkpoint to grab anything you skipped.

Combat Trophies

There are 9 combat-specific trophies. Most unlock naturally through normal play as you experiment with enemies and gadgets. All can be farmed using Chapter Select if you miss them during the campaign.

Soft Landing

Tackle an enemy over a ledge. Hold R2 on PlayStation or RT on Xbox to grab an enemy and do not let go. Steer both Bond and the enemy toward an open drop — not a railing, but a clean unguarded edge — and fall over together. The key detail is that Bond must go over with the enemy. Releasing the button early causes a throw instead. An early spot to earn this is Chapter 5 at Checkpoint 10 during the Steal the Flag objective. For a detailed breakdown of how this works, see the 007 First Light how to Rush Over an Edge guide.

Sleight of Hand

Disarm an enemy by shooting a weapon from their hand. This is taught during the training section in Chapter 3. When an armed enemy is aiming at you, shoot their hand to knock the weapon loose. You will almost certainly earn this without trying during normal play.

Positively Shocking

Make an enemy taser another enemy. Taser-equipped enemies appear in specific sections of the game — they have a visible blue line from their taser just before they fire. When one charges up to shoot, grab a nearby enemy and rush toward the taser enemy. If the taser hits one of his allies instead of Bond, the trophy pops. This may take a few attempts. Triggering it in the laundry area in All the Time in the World is one of the most reliable setups — group a few enemies including the taser enforcer and engineer the friendly fire.

Short Fuse

Shoot at an enemy while they are throwing a grenade. When you see an enemy wind up a grenade throw, shoot them before the throw completes. This interrupts the throw and counts for the trophy. You can farm this at Chapter 10, Checkpoint 11 (Ambush) — enemies here are active immediately on spawn, and grenades come quickly.

He’ll Live

Knock out an enemy by shooting them in the legs. Shoot a non-armoured enemy in the legs to stagger and drop them without killing. This should come naturally during combat sections. If it does not pop during the campaign, use Chapter Select to find any standard combat encounter and aim low.

Firestarter

Push an enemy into a fire extinguisher. Use the Rush mechanic (hold R2 or RT) to grab an enemy and steer them into a fire extinguisher mounted on a wall. The extinguisher discharges on contact. Fire extinguishers appear in many indoor combat sections across the campaign. Look for the red wall-mounted canisters in corridors and offices.

Damp Squib

Hack a grenade before it explodes. When an enemy throws a grenade, look at it on the ground quickly and use the Q-Watch to hack and deactivate it before it detonates. The Q-Watch is required for this, so it becomes available from Chapter 4 onwards. A reliable farming spot is Chapter 10, Checkpoint 11 (Ambush) — hide in cover until an enemy throws a grenade, then hack it on the ground. Chapter 11 (Webb Exhibition) is another good spot.

Disarming Personality

Disarm an enemy with a laser. The Laser Strap gadget unlocks during Chapter 9. Equip it, let an armed enemy detect you and aim at you, then fire the laser at them to disarm. The laser uses electric charges for power, so pick up blue batteries to keep it topped up. This can also be done in TacSim sessions if you miss it in the campaign.

Always Have an Exit Plan

Use a gadget to escape a confrontation. Enter a restricted area with civilians present and intentionally get caught to trigger a confrontation. When the bluff or comply dialogue prompt appears, use the Q-Watch to distract the target and walk away. This is the only combat trophy that requires a deliberate setup rather than natural play. It can be done in any mission from Chapter 4 onwards that has restricted areas with civilian NPCs.

TacSim Trophies

There are 4 trophies tied to TacSim, the online Tactical Simulator mode. TacSim requires an internet connection to access. The trophies are easy and can be completed in under an hour once the mode unlocks. Two Escalations open after Chapter 6. Operations only become available after finishing the main story.

A Change of Pace

Complete an Escalation in TacSim. Escalations are tiered challenge runs. The first one available after Chapter 6 is a short combat tutorial. Load it up and complete it — this should take about one minute. The trophy pops on completion.

The Readiness Is All

Beat Tier 3 of an Escalation in TacSim. This is the most demanding TacSim trophy. Tier 3 Escalations test your full mastery of the combat system — parrying, gadgets, environmental use, and clean engagement all matter here. Spend time in the earlier tiers learning the mechanics before attempting Tier 3. There is no shortcut — you need to play through Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the same Escalation before Tier 3 unlocks. The Rush Over An Edge guide covers a combat mechanic that is useful in these higher-difficulty encounters.

What If…?

Complete an Operation in TacSim. Operations are standalone TacSim missions with game-changing modifiers. They only become available after you finish the main campaign. Load any Operation from the TacSim menu and complete it once. The trophy pops on the completion screen.

Keep Moving Forward

Reach Clearance Level 3 in TacSim. Clearance Level rises as you complete TacSim activities. Completing Escalations and Operations earns XP and Intel toward your Clearance Level. By the time you finish the other TacSim trophies you will likely be at or near Level 3 already. If not, replay any Escalation until the level pops.

Platinum Trophy

The Platinum is called “The name’s Bond. James Bond.” and unlocks automatically once all 37 other trophies on PlayStation are earned. It requires finishing the campaign, finding all 92 collectibles, completing all 9 combat trophies, and finishing the 4 TacSim objectives. There is no single trophy that is especially difficult. The collectibles are the biggest time investment, and Tier 3 Escalation in TacSim requires the most skill. Everything else falls into place through normal play.

Tips for an Efficient Platinum Run

  • Play on Novice difficulty throughout. There are no difficulty-locked trophies and it keeps the campaign smooth.
  • Use the Q-Watch from Chapter 4 to highlight collectibles in yellow as you explore. Press L1 or LB near objects to scan the area.
  • Always carry the Laser Strap gadget from Chapter 9 onwards — it is required for both the Disarming Personality trophy and several collectible locations.
  • Farm Damp Squib and Short Fuse at Chapter 10, Checkpoint 11 (Ambush) if you do not get them naturally — enemies here throw grenades reliably.
  • Do not stress about missing trophies during your first run. Chapter Select covers everything.
  • Knock out TacSim trophies after the campaign — A Change of Pace and Keep Moving Forward are very quick, and What If…? requires post-game access anyway.
