    What Is a Minecraft Seed?

A seed is a number that controls everything about your world — where biomes go, where structures spawn, where mountains form. Enter the same seed on the same version of Minecraft and you get the exact same world every single time.

Seeds are the fastest way to guarantee a great world from day one. Instead of wandering for hours looking for a desert temple or an Ancient City, you can start in a world where one is right at your feet.

How to enter a seed in Java Edition: Open Minecraft → Singleplayer → Create New World → More World Options → type or paste the seed in the Seed field → Create New World.

How to enter a seed in Bedrock Edition: Open Minecraft → Play → Create New World → scroll to find the Seed field → enter the code → Create.

Important note: Seeds in this list are verified for Java Edition 26.2 (Chaos Cubed) and Bedrock Edition 26.30. The terrain generates the same in both editions, but structure coordinates (villages, temples, Trial Chambers, etc.) may differ slightly between editions because Java and Bedrock use different structure generation rules. Use the seed and check Chunkbase to find exact Bedrock structure positions if they appear off.

How to Find Your Current World’s Seed

Already in a world you love? Type /seed in the chat with cheats enabled. The seed number appears in the chat — click it to copy. If cheats are off, go back to the main menu, select your world, and click Edit or Re-Create to see the seed under the World tab. If you are playing with friends, our guide on how to make and join a Minecraft server covers how to set seeds for shared multiplayer worlds.

Best Minecraft Seeds for Beginners 2026

4 villages at spawn with island in center
4 villages at spawn — best beginner seed 2026

    1. Four Villages at Spawn

    Seed: 302304127329527063 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

This is the best starter seed available. You spawn surrounded by four villages — food, wood, beds, villagers, and iron are all within reach on night one. A mineshaft sits just a few blocks underground and gives you early coal and iron without deep mining. For a new player, this seed basically solves the hardest part of the early game.

If you are brand new to Minecraft, pair this with our guide on how to survive your first night in Minecraft to make the most of this start. Once your base is established, our villager trading tiers guide and how to breed villagers guide will help you grow your trading hall fast.

    Key locations:

    • Villages: within 200 blocks of spawn in multiple directions
    • Mineshaft: just below the surface near spawn

    2. Perfect Village Start — Two Blacksmiths, Ruined Portal Inside Fortress

    Seed: -7417157268905316998 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

Everything a survival player needs is packed close to spawn. A village with multiple blacksmith chests gives you an immediate armor and food advantage. A Ruined Portal is steps away from the village for quick Nether access. A Trial Chamber sits under 300 blocks from spawn for mid-game challenge and loot. Ocean Ruins are also nearby for underwater exploration. This seed consistently appears in the top tier of verified 1.21 seed lists — it is as close to a perfect all-in-one start as you will find.

When you are ready to tackle the Trial Chamber, read our guide on how to find Trial Chambers in Minecraft and our how to defeat the Breeze mob guide first.

    Key locations:

    • Village: (315, 343)
    • Ruined Portal: (297, 340)
    • Trial Chamber: (294, 2, 290)
    • Ocean Ruins: (435, 661)

    Village in a Lush Cave
Village in a Lush Cave — one of the rarest natural generations in the game

    3. Village in a Lush Cave

    Seed: 8074986196338038296 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

You spawn next to a village that sits inside a massive Lush Cave biome — one of the rarest natural generations in the game. Axolotls swim nearby, glow berries light the ceiling, and the entire area looks stunning with shaders. This is a great survival seed with resources close by and one of the most beautiful starting areas in the game. Lush caves are also the only place to find Axolotls — check out our guide on how to tame axolotls in Minecraft once you are settled in.

    Key locations:

    • Village with iron golem: near spawn
    • Lush Cave entrance: visible from spawn

snowy village near an ice spikes biome and frozen river
Snowy village on a frozen river

    4. Snowy Village on a Frozen River

    Seed: 69420018030897796 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

A large, cozy Taiga village sits perched on a frozen river dusted in snow. It looks beautiful and gives you a perfect early base. The frozen river below the village acts like a natural ice skating rink. The village is large with multiple buildings and plenty of early resources. For ideas on what to build here, our all Minecraft base builds guide has inspiration for every style.

    Key locations:

    • Village: (64, 48)

    5. Badlands Lake — Best Builder’s Survival Start

    Seed: 7598363429859286340 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

Terracotta cliffs surround a flat open lake — one of the most striking natural formations in any seed. The flat land around the lake is perfect for large builds. An exposed Lush Cave nearby provides Axolotls and underground beauty. A Ruined Portal and exposed mineshaft chests are both accessible early on.

For build ideas that suit this terrain, our Minecraft base builds guide and floating island base guide are great starting points. The terracotta variety here is also worth exploring — check the full Minecraft terracotta blocks and variants list for all the colour options.

    Key locations:

    • Badlands Lake: (0, 72)
    • Exposed Mineshaft Chests: (20, 69)
    • Ruined Portal: (-6, 212)
    • Exposed Lush Cave: (-96, 236)

    6. River Ring Island — Natural Moated Base

    Seed: 7598363429859286340 (Java) / -6018321323546593994 (Bedrock) | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

A river loops back on itself forming a near-perfect ring, with land sitting inside the circle. It is one of the most iconic community-discovered seeds and makes for a natural moated base location. The layout looks almost designed rather than randomly generated. Building a castle or medieval town inside the ring is practically begging to be done. For inspiration, check out our underground bunker guide or our hillside mountain base guide.

    Key locations:

    • River Ring Island: (-300, -20)

    7. Survival Island with Shipwreck and Buried Treasure

    Seed: -6018321323546593994 | Platform: Bedrock | Version: 26.2

One of the most requested seed types and consistently one of the top search terms on Bing for Minecraft seeds. You spawn on a near-perfect survival island with trees, enough exposed surface ore to get started, and a beach with a visible shipwreck containing a buried treasure map. An ocean monument sits within swimming distance. The island challenge is a classic for a reason — limited resources, no mainland to fall back on, and a slow build from nothing to a full base. If you want to extend to multiplayer, our Minecraft Realms setup guide for Bedrock walks you through sharing a seed world with friends.

    Key locations:

    • Spawn island: (0, 0)
    • Shipwreck with treasure map: visible from spawn beach

    8. Desert Badlands with Three Ancient Cities

    Seed: -2724114824605727272 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

You spawn in a barren Badlands biome where a village, a Pillager Outpost, and a Desert Temple all cluster together at one location. A Ruined Portal adds early Nether gear. Directly beneath the surface sit three large Ancient Cities loaded with armor trims and loot. This is one of the best combined survival and exploration seeds available in 2026 — the surface gives you immediate structure variety and the underground gives you a serious late-game challenge.

For tackling the underground portion, read our guide on how to find an Ancient City in Minecraft and our full armor trims locations guide before diving in.

Best Minecraft Seeds for Ancient Cities 2026

    9. Massive Ancient City Spawn — Best Overall Seed for Experienced Players

    Seed: -3227758055243832981 | Platform: Java | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

This is widely considered the best Minecraft seed for experienced players. An enormous merged Ancient City structure sits near spawn — one of the biggest and most impressive dungeon formations ever discovered in the game. Multiple Ancient Cities connect and overlap in a single massive underground complex. Swift Sneak books, Echo Shards, Disc Fragments, and enchanted golden apples are all within reach from a single base.

Before diving in, read our full guide on how to find and survive an Ancient City. The Warden is not forgiving — our how to spawn the Warden guide covers exactly how it detects you and how to avoid triggering it.

    10. Ancient City Spawn — Natural Sunlight at Y -49

    Seed: 2482490754905255652 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

This is one of the most surprising seeds in Minecraft. You spawn at Y level -49 — because there is nothing but air above that point — and you land directly inside an Ancient City with natural sunlight pouring down from above. You can see diamonds around you from the moment you spawn. A desert temple floating in lava sits in a Lush Cave directly below spawn. A Trial Chamber is only 300 blocks away.

    Key locations:

    • Ancient City spawn: Y -49 at spawn point
    • Desert Temple in Lava: (21, -46, 16)
    • Nearest Village: (281, -281)
    • Trial Chamber: (176, -512)

    11. Pale Garden Bowl with Trial Chamber Below — Best Pale Garden Seed

    Seed: 5293699887003289009 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

A Pale Garden bowl formation sits at spawn — the raised terrain surrounds the biome on all sides so it looks like a natural enclosed valley rather than a flat biome edge. Creaking mobs patrol above at night. A Trial Chamber sits underground at 76, -14, -40 — so two of 1.21’s most distinct threats are within walking distance of each other from day one. This combination has become one of the most cited seeds for 2026 in community forums and verified seed sites.

Read our guide on how to find the Pale Garden biome in Minecraft and our how to defeat the Creaking guide before your first night there.

    Key locations:

    • Pale Garden: (0, 133, 115)
    • Trial Chamber: (76, -14, -40)

    12. Six Ancient Cities Near Spawn

    Seed: 5634847558771179357 | Platform: Java | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

Six accessible Ancient Cities clustered in the same region is extraordinarily rare. The game normally spaces them far apart by design. Having six near one base means you can farm Swift Sneak books, Echo Shards, and Disc Fragments at scale across multiple runs. This is the best seed for players focused on completing the disc advancement or trading with other players.

Best Minecraft Seeds for Chaos Cubed (Java 26.2 / Bedrock 26.30)

The Chaos Cubed update launched on June 16, 2026 and added the sulfur caves biome, the sulfur cube mob, cinnabar blocks, and more. Surface terrain did not change, so existing seeds remain valid — but these picks are specifically chosen to put you near sulfur cave content from the start. For a full breakdown of everything added, see our Minecraft Chaos Cubed update guide.

    13. Village Spawn with Sulfur Crater

    Seed: 42203442493 | Platform: Java 26.2 & Bedrock 26.30 | Version: 26.2

You spawn in a plains village at (0, 109, 0). Walk approximately 50 blocks and you arrive at a massive crater embedded in a desert plain, housing a large-scale sulfur cave biome inside it. This is the best seed for players who want to encounter the new sulfur content — sulfur cube mobs, cinnabar deposits, and sulfur blocks — without any searching. The surface crater makes the biome immediately visible from spawn.

See our full guides: how to find sulfur caves in Minecraft, sulfur cube guide, and all sulfur blocks and variants list.

    Key locations:

    • Village: (0, 109, 0)
    • Sulfur Cave biome (crater): (-50, 51, 0)

    14. River Island with Sulfur Spring and Mineshaft

    Seed: 101396560 | Platform: Java 26.2 & Bedrock 26.30 | Version: 26.2

You spawn on a river island with a village at (0, 74, 0) and a mineshaft directly below at (-5, 25, 0). A Pillager Outpost sits at (-150, 66, 150). A sulfur spring sits nearby for early Chaos Cubed content without needing to dig deep. The combination of an island spawn, immediate mining resources in the mineshaft, and sulfur content within a short walk makes this one of the strongest all-round seeds for the current stable version. Read our guide on how to find sulfur springs in Minecraft for what to expect.

    Key locations:

    • Village: (0, 74, 0)
    • Mineshaft: (-5, 25, 0)
    • Pillager Outpost: (-150, 66, 150)

    Best Minecraft Speedrun Seeds 2026

    15. Three Strongholds Near Spawn

    Seed: -128114970508797305 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

Speedrunners live and die by stronghold proximity. This seed places three Strongholds within reach of spawn. You do not need to throw many Eyes of Ender to triangulate. Gather Ender Pearls and Blaze Powder, locate the nearest Stronghold, and the End Portal is yours fast. Our guides on how to get Blaze Rods and how to find a Nether Fortress cover the Nether side of the speedrun setup. Once you are through, check our how to defeat the Ender Dragon guide.

    Key locations:

    • Ruined Portal at spawn: (21, 67, 14)

    16. Ruined Portal at Spawn — Fastest Nether Access

    Seed: -128114970508797305 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

Finding a Ruined Portal at spawn is rare. Finding one that also has the obsidian, flint, and steel needed to activate it right away is almost unheard of. This seed does exactly that. It is a top pick for speedrunners who want to reach the Nether as fast as possible. Combine it with our guide on how to get to the Nether in Minecraft for a smooth early run. Once in, our Piglin bartering guide will help you get Ender Pearls fast.

    Best Minecraft Building Seeds 2026

    17. Massive Cherry Blossom Mountain

    Seed: 5313654000673944644 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

A towering cherry blossom mountain rises dramatically from the landscape with flat plateaus on the upper levels. The pink canopy from above is one of the most visually stunning naturally generated views in Minecraft. The flat sections are ready-made build platforms at different elevations. This is a top pick for aesthetic builders who want a breathtaking backdrop for their creations. Our floating island base guide translates perfectly to this terrain, and the cherry wood available here is one of the most distinct wood types — check the complete Minecraft wood blocks and variants list to see how it compares.

    18. Bamboo Gorge — Vertical Building Seed

    Seed: 4405134068028 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

A massive gorge cuts through the landscape exposing multiple biomes on the canyon walls. Bamboo forests flank the gorge on both sides, providing infinite scaffolding material for large vertical builds. Exposed cave systems and ore veins are visible in the cliff walls, making mining far more efficient than digging blindly. This seed rewards creative builders who want to build upward, not outward. For ideas, our treehouse base guide works brilliantly on bamboo gorge terrain.

    19. Elevated Savanna Village — Natural Castle Seed

    Seed: 5634847558771179357 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

A village sits elevated on a savanna plateau above a crater lake — creating a natural moat at the bottom and a defensive stronghold at the top. Acacia wood from the surrounding savanna gives builds a distinct orange-red colour palette different from the standard oak aesthetic. Multiple distinct build zones exist at different elevations. Our hillside mountain base guide covers the exact style of vertical construction this terrain calls for.

Best Minecraft Biome Explorer Seeds 2026

    20. All Rare Biomes Within 2,500 Blocks

    Seed: 4405134068028 | Platform: Java & Bedrock 1.21.131

Most worlds scatter rare biomes like Badlands and Mushroom Islands thousands of blocks from spawn — making them destination trips rather than regular parts of your world. This seed packs an exceptional biome range into a tight radius. All major biomes are reachable by horse or elytra in a single session. It is the best seed for players working through the biome-specific advancements list or building biome-specific farms. Once you have Elytra, check our guide on how to get Elytra from the End City to make exploration effortless.

    21. Triple Rare Biome — Mangrove, Mushroom Island, Pale Garden

    Seed: 5293699887003289009 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21.4+ / 26.2

Three of Minecraft’s rarest biome types in one world. The Mangrove Swamp brings unique mud blocks, mangrove wood, and frogs. The Mushroom Island is a mob-free sanctuary — hostile mobs do not spawn there naturally, making it the safest base location in the game. The Pale Garden is the newest eerie biome with pale oak wood and Creaking mob spawning at night. If you want to breed frogs in the Mangrove Swamp, our how to breed frogs guide covers it. For the Pale Garden, see our Pale Garden biome guide and what is a Creaking Heart in Minecraft before your first night there.

    22. Massive Jagged Peaks — 1 Million+ Block Contiguous Biome

    Seed: 7598363429859286340 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

A contiguous Jagged Peaks biome stretching over 1 million blocks — the largest verified single-biome formation discovered in 2026. Several villages sit nearby for resources. Jagged Peaks are also the best surface biome for digging down to find Ancient Cities beneath. Check our Ancient City guide for what to do when you reach the Deep Dark.

    23. Mushroom Island Surrounded by Ocean

    Seed: 8074986196338038296 | Platform: Java & Bedrock | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

Travel to coordinates (165, -35) from spawn to find a Mushroom Fields island surrounded entirely by ocean — one of the rarest biomes in the game. Mushroom Islands have no hostile mob spawning of any kind. No zombies, no creepers, no skeletons. It is the safest surface biome in Minecraft and makes for an incredible permanent base location with a completely different aesthetic.

    Best Woodland Mansion Seeds 2026

    24. Woodland Mansion on a Small Island — Village 100 Blocks Away

    Seed: -3227758055243832981 | Platform: Java | Version: 1.21 / 26.2

You spawn next to a small island with a Woodland Mansion on it and a village only 100 blocks away — this is one of the most convenient Woodland Mansion setups ever found. You get early resources from the village, then raid the mansion without the usual thousands-of-blocks journey. This seed is rated one of the most liked in the community for 2026.

Before heading in, our guide on how to find a Woodland Mansion in Minecraft covers the enemies, the loot, and how to survive it.

    25. Mansion Topped by a Village in a Pale Forest

    Seed: 5634847558771179357 | Platform: Java | Version: 1.21.4+ / 26.2

An extraordinary structure overlap — a Woodland Mansion with a village generating partially on top of it, sitting inside a Pale Forest biome. The Pale Forest is the newest biome in the game with its eerie white-grey aesthetic. This combination has never been seen before and generates one of the most visually unique locations in any Minecraft world. See our how to get pale oak wood guide for building with the unique materials here.

Coming Soon: Dappled Forest Seeds for Minecraft Wilderness Bound (26.3 / Bedrock 26.50)

The third game drop of 2026 — officially named Wilderness Bound (Java 26.3 / Bedrock 26.50) — is currently at Pre-Release stage and is expected to ship around mid-September 2026. Mojang confirmed the name on September 6, 2026 during the MCC Fall Stars event. The headline addition is the Dappled Forest, an autumn-themed biome inspired by Michigan’s fall forests, featuring poplar trees in red, orange, and yellow canopies, red shrubs on the forest floor, and shelf mushrooms on poplar logs. Alongside the biome, Wilderness Bound adds:

    • Abandoned Camps — a new small structure that generates in the Dappled Forest and over a dozen other biomes, including wooded badlands and swamps. Loot chests inside can contain copper weapons, compasses, Explorer Maps, and gunpowder. Some camps hold a map pointing to an Ancient City.
    • Straw Beds — crafted from three Hay Bales. Place one to skip the night without changing your respawn point — ideal for long exploration trips. Found in Abandoned Camps. Cannot be used in the Nether or End.
    • Cushions — the first proper sit-in-place block in Minecraft. Works as a decorative furniture building block for sofas, chairs, and camp seating.
    • Wool Stairs and Slabs — available in all 16 dye colours. Retain the vibration-damping properties of wool, which means they can also be used to avoid triggering the Warden.
    • Concrete Stairs and Slabs — available in all 16 dye colours. Can be crafted or cut with a stonecutter.
    • Poplar wood set — a full new wood type with a soft beige-grey palette. Saplings and unstripped logs are sold by Wandering Traders.

No verified stable seeds for the Dappled Forest biome or Abandoned Camps exist yet — the update has not released. We will update this article with tested, coordinate-verified seeds the moment 26.3 drops on stable. For now, see our guides: Minecraft Dappled Forest biome explained and what is poplar wood in Minecraft.

Java vs Bedrock Seeds — What You Need to Know

A common source of confusion is whether seeds work the same across both editions. Here is the short answer:

Terrain is the same. The biomes, mountains, valleys, and landscape generate identically when you use the same seed in both Java and Bedrock.

Structures differ. Villages, strongholds, temples, Trial Chambers, and Ancient Cities spawn in different positions between Java and Bedrock. The coordinates listed in this article are for Java Edition. If you are on Bedrock and a structure is not at the listed location, use Chunkbase to look up the Bedrock coordinates for your seed.

Version matters. A seed tested on Java 26.2 will generate differently if you use it on Java 1.19. Always check what version a seed was tested on and match it when creating your world. The current stable versions are Java 26.2 and Bedrock 26.30 — both are fully compatible with the seeds in this list. Wilderness Bound will release as Java 26.3 and Bedrock 26.50; seeds from earlier versions will continue to work, but any new 26.3 content (Dappled Forest, Abandoned Camps) will only generate in worlds created on 26.3 or later. If you are playing on Bedrock and having trouble finding your way around a new world, our Minecraft cross-platform guide covers edition differences in detail.

Tips for Getting the Most From Any Seed

Enable coordinates before you start. In Bedrock, turn on Show Coordinates in world settings. In Java, press F3 to open the debug screen. You need these to navigate to the locations listed with each seed.

Use Chunkbase to preview first. Before creating your world, drop the seed into the Chunkbase seed map tool. Set your edition and version. You can see every structure, biome, and point of interest on the map before you ever load the world. Set the Y-level to below 60 to see Sulfur Cave biome locations if you are using a Chaos Cubed seed.

Set up a Librarian early. If your seed has a village, put a Lectern next to an unemployed villager as soon as you can. A Librarian with Mending books completely changes how your late game plays out. Our villager trading guide explains exactly how to do this and which trades are worth grinding. Also check our how to breed villagers guide to keep your population growing.

Get diamonds early. Once you have a base established, the fastest way to gear up is finding diamonds. Check our guide on how to find diamonds in Minecraft for the best Y level and strategies in 2026. Pair it with our how to upgrade to Netherite armor guide once you hit the Nether.

Install shaders for scenic seeds. The beautiful building seeds in this list — cherry blossom mountains, badlands lakes, bamboo gorges — look dramatically better with shaders. Check out our best Minecraft Bedrock shaders guide for the top picks and how to install them.

Fix lag on complex terrain seeds. Some seeds with large cave systems or many loaded structures can cause performance drops, especially on older hardware. Our Minecraft v26.1 lag fix guide covers the fastest ways to improve performance, and our RAM allocation guide helps Java players get more out of their hardware.

Try the Happy Ghast seeds in the Nether. If you are starting fresh in 26.2, you can find Dried Ghasts in soul sand valleys and hydrate them into Happy Ghasts — the rideable flying mob added in the Chase the Skies update. Read our guides on how to craft a Dried Ghast and how to get and ride a Happy Ghast for the full process.

Use Straw Beds on exploration runs in Wilderness Bound. Once 26.3 releases, craft a stack of Straw Beds (3 Hay Bales each) before long expeditions. Unlike regular beds, they let you skip the night without resetting your respawn point — so you keep your home base as your spawn while still sleeping through dangerous nights in the field.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Do seeds work in multiplayer?

Yes. Enter the seed when creating a new server world and every player who joins will spawn in the same generated world. If you want to play with friends, our guide on how to set up Minecraft Realms for Bedrock covers shared world setup step by step.

Can I change a seed after I create a world?

No. The seed determines the entire world from the moment you create it. You cannot change it afterward. If you want a different world, you need to create a new one with the seed code entered before generation.

Why does my world look different from the description?

The most common cause is a wrong seed code — even one missing digit or a missing minus sign creates a completely different world. The second most common cause is using the wrong game version. Double-check both. All seeds in this list are verified for Java 26.2 and Bedrock 26.30.

    Are these seeds cross-platform?

Terrain is the same across Java and Bedrock for the same seed. Structure locations (villages, Trial Chambers, Ancient Cities) may vary between editions. Some seeds in this list are marked Java only or Bedrock only where the structure generation makes a meaningful difference. Use Chunkbase set to your edition to find exact structure positions.

Do the Chaos Cubed seeds need any special settings?

No. All Chaos Cubed content — sulfur caves, sulfur cubes, cinnabar blocks — is fully live in Java 26.2 and Bedrock 26.30. No experimental toggle is needed. Seeds that required the experimental flag during preview no longer need it in the stable release.

How do I find sulfur caves in a seed that doesn’t have them at spawn?

Use the /locate biome minecraft:sulfur_caves command with cheats enabled. This returns the nearest sulfur cave coordinates from your current position. You can also use Chunkbase set to Java 26.2 or Bedrock 26.30 and lower the Y-level display to below 60 to see sulfur cave biome locations across your entire map.

What is the Wilderness Bound update and when does it release?

Wilderness Bound is the official name for Minecraft 26.3 (Java) / Bedrock 26.50, confirmed by Mojang on September 6, 2026 at the MCC Fall Stars event. It adds the Dappled Forest biome with poplar trees in red, orange, and yellow, Abandoned Camps, Straw Beds, Cushions, and wool and concrete stairs and slabs in all 16 colours. The update is currently in Pre-Release and is expected to release around mid-September 2026. Seeds verified for the stable release will be added to this article on launch day.

What can I find in an Abandoned Camp in Wilderness Bound?

Abandoned Camps generate in the Dappled Forest and more than a dozen other biomes including wooded badlands and swamps. Loot chests inside can contain copper weapons, compasses, Explorer Maps, gunpowder, and other early-game items. Some camps include a treasure map that leads to an Ancient City. Straw Beds also generate inside the tent-like structures, making camps a useful pit stop during exploration.

How often do the best seeds change?

New seeds get discovered all the time by the community. Major Minecraft updates can change world generation algorithms, which means old seeds may generate differently after a big update. All seeds in this list were verified for Java 26.2 and Bedrock 26.30. When Wilderness Bound (26.3) releases in mid-September 2026, we will add verified Dappled Forest and Abandoned Camp seeds to this article.
