S2 Class is the hypercar tier of Forza Horizon 6. It covers PI ratings from 901 to 998, placing it above S1 modern supercars and below the new R Class of factory race machines. The best Forza Horizon 6 S2 class cars are some of the most extreme road-legal performance vehicles ever built — Koenigsegg, Hennessey, McLaren, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, and more. These are the cars that hit 300 mph on Japan’s expressways, dominate Goliath-style races, and win the festival’s highest-end Seasonal Championships. This guide ranks the top S2 picks for every use case: road racing, top speed events, drag, drift, and Festival Playlist championships.
Forza Horizon 6 is available on Forza.net, Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.
What Is S2 Class in Forza Horizon 6?
S2 Class sits between S1 and R Class in FH6’s seven-tier PI system. It covers PI 901 to 998 and houses the fastest road-going hypercars in the game. Think Koenigsegg, Hennessey, McLaren, Pagani, and extreme versions of Ferrari and Porsche machinery. S2 cars regularly push past 250 mph with tuning, and the fastest among them hit 300 mph on stock settings.
S2 is the highest class available for standard road events and Festival Playlist Seasonal Championships. The new R Class above it is reserved for factory race cars and track prototypes — these are not road-legal vehicles. When a high-end FH6 championship calls for the fastest builds, S2 is where it lives.
One key thing about S2 worth understanding: raw top speed and race performance are very different. The fastest stock car in the game — the Hennessey Venom F5 — is not the best S2 race car. Handling, acceleration, and braking balance matter far more on Japan’s technical circuits than peak velocity. S2 rewards building the right car for the right event, not just chasing the biggest numbers.
For a comparison to the class below, see our best S1 class cars guide. For the class above, see our best R Class cars guide.
S2 vs R Class – When to Use Each
FH6 introduced R Class as a brand-new bracket for track prototypes, LMP race cars, and factory-prepared racers. These cars — the Ferrari FXX-K Evo, Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, Pagani Huayra R, and others — sit above S2 and are genuinely faster on open circuits. But they come with trade-offs.
R Class cars have extreme low-ride aero setups that struggle on bumpy Tokyo street circuits, tight urban corners, and uneven mountain surfaces. On those events, S2 hypercars are faster in practice because they can actually carry speed through imperfect surfaces. The Mercedes-AMG ONE at S2 feels significantly more confident on Tokyo’s streets than any R Class prototype. Use S2 for events on public roads. Use R Class for Goliath, Colossus, Legend Island, and purpose-built circuit races. For a full breakdown of R Class, see our R Class cars guide.
Best S2 Class Cars in Forza Horizon 6 – Ranked by Use Case
1. 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera – Best Overall S2 Car

The Koenigsegg Gemera is the best all-around S2 car in FH6. It is a four-seat plug-in hybrid hypercar producing 1,700 hp, and in-game it carries a perfect Speed stat of 10, a perfect Launch stat of 10, and an Acceleration of 9.7. That combination — maximum speed, instant launch, and near-perfect acceleration — makes it competitive across virtually every S2 event type.
What separates the Gemera from the pure speed kings above it is that it actually handles. Most S2 cars with a Speed of 10 are difficult or dangerous to drive on technical circuits. The Gemera’s AWD layout and active aerodynamics keep it stable through corners and change of direction at speeds where most hypercars would be fighting the driver. It does not quite match the raw top speed of the Koenigsegg Jesko on the longest straights, but on any circuit that mixes fast sections with corners, the Gemera wins.
The Gemera is available from the Autoshow. It is also available through the Car Pass for Week 2, which dropped May 28, 2026. Car Pass owners who were playing from launch already have it in their garage.
For full stats and tuning advice, see our 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera performance stats guide.
2. 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE – Best for Road Racing and Technical Circuits

The 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE is the best S2 car for road racing on technical circuits. It carries a perfect 10 in Acceleration and leads S2 in that category. Its active aerodynamic system — derived directly from Mercedes’ Formula 1 technology — makes it dominant on high-speed technical courses where most hypercars get unsettled. In urban conditions and mixed-terrain S2 events, the AMG ONE feels significantly more forgiving than the pure speed monsters in the class.
This is also the most accessible top-tier S2 car for many players. The AMG ONE is a Loyalty Reward for players who have Forza Horizon 5 save data linked to their Microsoft account. If you played FH5, check your garage — you may already own one of the best S2 cars in the game at no cost.
For confirmed stats and upgrade paths, see our 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE performance stats guide.
3. 2020 Koenigsegg Jesko – Best Top Speed S2 Car

The Koenigsegg Jesko is the top speed king of S2 Class. In stock form it reaches around 281 mph in normal driving conditions on Japan’s highways. With tuning, it goes further. Its Speed stat tops the class alongside the Venom F5 and Agera RS, but what sets the Jesko apart from those two is that it also handles. A Handling stat of 9.1 and Braking of 8.9 give it a meaningful edge over the Venom F5 in actual race conditions.
The Jesko does require time to master. Its untamed launch tendency and inclination toward oversteer at high speed means it punishes drivers who are not precise. But for experienced S2 pilots who understand how to manage its rear, it is the most complete speed-focused S2 car in FH6. Use it for speed trap events, long highway blasts, the Goliath race, and any S2 championship that runs on Japan’s mountain expressways.
For full performance data, see our 2020 Koenigsegg Jesko performance stats guide.
4. 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 – Best for Pure Straight-Line Speed

The 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 is the fastest stock car in Forza Horizon 6. It carries a Speed stat of 10 and has been recorded at approximately 497 km/h (around 309 mph) in in-game testing on Japan’s expressways. No other road-going car in the game matches it for raw top-end velocity. It is the undisputed choice for speed trap records and long highway events where peak velocity is the deciding factor.
The catch is handling. The Venom F5’s handling and braking stats are noticeably lower than the Jesko and Gemera. It comes stock with sport tires, and going fast in a straight line is its entire identity. Turning at extreme speeds is something the Venom F5 does reluctantly. Use it specifically for Speed Traps on long straights, Danger Signs with runway approaches, and the Goliath’s highway stretches where it can stretch its legs.
Do not try to race it through Tokyo’s corners or tight mountain passes — a well-tuned Gemera or AMG ONE will gap it every time on mixed-terrain circuits. The Venom F5 is the specialist, not the all-rounder.
For full stats, see our 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 performance stats guide.
5. 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder – Best for Beginners at S2

The 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder is the best S2 car for players who are new to the hypercar tier. Its Acceleration and Launch are among the best in the class, its AWD hybrid drivetrain provides excellent traction, and its steering is comfortable in a way that most S2 cars are not. Where the Gemera demands precision and the Jesko demands confidence, the 918 Spyder is forgiving.
It falls short of the Gemera in outright performance and top-end pace once you are comfortable with the class, but for players still developing their S2 race craft, it is the perfect learning tool. It is also accessible from the Autoshow at 2,300,000 credits, and can be unlocked for free by earning 3,700 points in the Horizon Play category in the Collection Journal — making it one of the most reachable high-end S2 cars in the game.
For full stats, see our 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder performance stats guide.
6. 2017 Koenigsegg Agera RS – Best Value Speed S2 Car

The Koenigsegg Agera RS sits just behind the Jesko in top speed terms but offers a slightly better Braking stat at 9.2 versus the Jesko’s 8.9. For players who want near-Jesko speed with marginally more stopping power, the Agera RS is the pick. It is also generally more affordable in the Autoshow than the Jesko, making it a strong value option for players who want a speed-focused S2 car without spending maximum credits.
Like all Koenigsegg models in FH6, the Agera RS is rear-wheel drive in stock form. AWD conversions are possible through upgrades and improve race performance significantly, though the PI cost must be managed carefully to stay within the S2 cap. For the full Koenigsegg lineup comparison, see our 2011 Koenigsegg Agera performance stats guide as a reference point for the platform.
7. Nissan GT-R Black Edition R35 Forza Edition – Best S2 Drag Car

The 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition R35 Forza Edition is the dominant S2 drag car in FH6. It posts perfect 10.0 stats across Speed, Acceleration, and Launch in stock form — numbers that no other car in the game matches simultaneously. It currently holds drag strip records across FH6 and can reach over 300 mph with the right tune. In a drag-specific build it runs the quarter mile in around 6.3 to 6.5 seconds.
The critical caveat: turning is not its strength. The GT-R FE is built entirely for straight-line performance. It handles like a different category of car compared to its drag capabilities. Use it exclusively for Drag Meets, Speed Traps on long straight sections, and the game’s drag-specific events. Never take it into a road circuit championship — a tuned Gemera will humiliate it through any sequence of corners.
The GT-R FE is a Wheelspin-exclusive car. You cannot buy it from the Autoshow. To target it, focus on unlocking Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins through Car Mastery, Horizon Festival milestones, and daily driving. For tips on getting more spins, see our Wheelspins guide.
8. Lotus Evija Forza Edition – Best S2 Drift Car

The Lotus Evija Forza Edition is the top S2 drift car in FH6. It is a Wheelspin-exclusive electric hypercar with extreme power delivery that makes it the cleanest out-of-the-box drift experience at S2. Its instant torque from the electric drivetrain makes initiating and maintaining slides feel natural in a way that most combustion-powered S2 cars do not.
The Evija FE excels on tarmac drift zones. It does struggle on dirt, where heavier cars with more mechanical grip tend to be more stable. For mixed-surface drifting, a different build may serve better. But for tarmac drift events and Drift Zone challenges at S2, it is the go-to pick. It is also a visually striking car — an all-electric British hypercar in a game set in Japan, which feels appropriately exotic.
For more on the Lotus platform in FH6, see our Lotus Evija R Class performance stats guide for the base model comparison.
9. 2021 Koenigsegg Gemera (Car Pass) vs 2016 Koenigsegg Regera – Best S2 Grand Tourer
If you want a fast S2 car that is more composed and less aggressive to drive than the Jesko or Venom F5, the 2016 Koenigsegg Regera is worth considering. The Regera is a hybrid grand tourer producing 1,500 hp, and its single-speed direct drive transmission gives it a distinctive power delivery feel. It is heavier than most S2 Koenigseggs at 3,589 lbs, but that weight actually helps it feel more planted at high speed on long expressway sections.
It is not a circuit racer in the traditional sense — its weight hurts it through tight corners — but as a high-speed cruiser for Goliath events and speed-focused championships on mixed routes, it sits comfortably in the S2 top tier. For more on the Regera’s in-game performance, see our 2016 Koenigsegg Regera performance stats guide.
10. 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series – Best Value S2 Road Racer
The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is the most practical S2 road racer for everyday Festival Playlist use. It is more grounded, more controllable, and easier to push to the limit than the extreme hypercars above it. It does not lead S2 in any single performance category, but it delivers a consistent, competitive performance across road circuits without the handling nervousness that makes the Jesko or Venom F5 frustrating in tight sections.
Welcome Pack owners receive a pre-tuned version of this car as one of the five included vehicles. If you purchased the Deluxe or Premium Edition, check your garage — you may already have one ready. It is also one of the better S2 options for players who are transitioning from S1 and want a forgiving hypercar that rewards clean driving rather than punishing aggression.
Honourable Mentions – More Strong S2 Picks
Beyond the top ten, several more S2 cars are worth keeping in your garage for specific events or collection purposes:

- 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 — the first production car to achieve a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio in real life. In S2, it is a collector’s item with genuine pace. See our 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 performance stats guide.
- 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster — a classic Pagani in S2 trim, excellent for collectors and strong on technical mountain roads. See our 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster stats guide.
- 2024 Lucid Air Sapphire — electric S2 saloon with instant torque and excellent straight-line numbers. Surprisingly competitive in drag-adjacent events. See our 2024 Lucid Air Sapphire stats guide.
- 2017 Koenigsegg Agera RS — discussed above, but also worth noting as the most affordable entry into Koenigsegg’s top-speed territory. See our full Koenigsegg Agera stats guide.
Best S2 Cars for Specific Events
Speed Traps and Speed Zones
S2 is the natural home of speed events. For the fastest possible speeds on long straights, use the Hennessey Venom F5 or Koenigsegg Jesko. Both carry Speed 10 stats and regularly hit 280–300 mph in normal driving. For speed zones on mixed terrain, the Koenigsegg Gemera is the safer choice because its handling allows you to carry speed through the approach corners rather than just the zone itself.
For the best cars across all Speed Trap and Speed Zone events regardless of class, see our best cars for Speed Traps and Speed Zones guide.
Drag Racing
The Nissan GT-R Black Edition R35 Forza Edition is the dominant drag car at S2. Its perfect 10 across Speed, Acceleration, and Launch makes it essentially unchallenged in a straight line. The Hennessey Venom F5 is the best Autoshow alternative if you do not have the GT-R FE from a Wheelspin. For everything on drag setup and strategy, see our best drag cars guide.
Goliath and Long Circuit Events
Goliath-style races reward consistent pace across diverse terrain rather than peak speed on any single section. The Koenigsegg Gemera is the best overall Goliath car in S2 because its AWD traction, top speed, and handling balance make it competitive across every surface type the route crosses. The Mercedes-AMG ONE is a close second for its acceleration advantage on the technical sections. For the full guide on the longest race in FH6, see our Goliath Race and Colossus guide.
Drift Zones
The Lotus Evija Forza Edition leads for tarmac drift scoring at S2. Its electric torque and drift-focused tuning make it the cleanest S2 drift experience. For more on drift setup at every class level, see our best drift cars and tuning setup guide.
Festival Playlist S2 Championships
For The Trial and Seasonal Championships at S2 PI caps, the Koenigsegg Gemera is the top pick for competitive team play thanks to its AWD launch and handling. The Mercedes-AMG ONE is the runner-up for technical circuits. Always check the specific PI restriction before entering — if it calls for 950 PI, the Gemera at 900 PI needs upgrades to hit the ceiling. For more on using S2 cars in The Trial effectively, see our complete Trial guide for Series 2.

S2 Tuning Tips – Key Principles for Hypercar Builds
Tune to the 998 PI Ceiling
The same rule that applies at every class applies at S2. A car built to exactly 998 PI beats a stock 940 PI car in the same bracket. Push your S2 car as close to the ceiling as possible without going over. This often means swapping tyres to semi-slick or slick compounds, upgrading the engine, and adding an upgraded differential — all of which move PI up while delivering meaningful performance gains.
AWD Conversion at S2 Power Levels
At S2 power levels, RWD cars struggle enormously with traction unless they are specifically tuned for it. The Jesko, Venom F5, and Agera RS are all RWD in stock form and require careful differential and tyre tuning to put their power down cleanly. An AWD conversion on any of these cars significantly improves launch, acceleration out of corners, and overall consistency. The PI cost of an AWD swap at S2 needs to be managed — check your PI budget after the conversion and adjust other upgrades accordingly.
Braking Upgrades Matter Most at S2
At S2 speeds, you are arriving at braking zones much faster than at S1. Upgrading to race brakes and adjusting brake balance is one of the most underrated S2 performance gains. A car that can brake later into corners while maintaining stability gains significant lap time over one that cannot. This is especially important on Japan’s tight mountain passes and city circuits where late braking is a key competitive advantage.
For the full breakdown of upgrade priorities and tuning philosophy in FH6, see our car tuning and mechanical balance guide.
