Ferrari FXX-K Evo vs Aston Martin Valkyrie is one of the most common R-Class debates in Forza Horizon 6. The Aston Martin lineup actually gives you two choices here — the road-going 2023 Valkyrie and the track-only 2022 Valkyrie AMR Pro — and each one fills a different role. This guide compares all three cars across every stat and every race type, so you know exactly which one to buy first and when to use each one.
What Is R-Class in Forza Horizon 6?
R-Class is brand new to the Forza Horizon series. It sits above S2 and is reserved for track-built machines — prototypes, LMP cars, factory race specials, and purpose-built hypercars. These are not just upgraded road cars. They are engineered for circuits, and they behave very differently from anything below them.

The Three Cars at a Glance
Before going into the full comparison table, here is a quick summary of where each car sits:
- 2018 Ferrari FXX-K Evo — Highest PI in the comparison at R-998. Best acceleration and launch. The most balanced and versatile R-Class car in the game. Track toy, not a road car.
- 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro — Track-only evolution of the road Valkyrie. Best handling in all of R-Class. Lower speed stat but exceptional grip and braking. The circuit specialist.
- 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie — The road-legal version. Lower PI at R-925 but a significantly higher speed stat of 9.2. The pick for events where top-end velocity is the priority.
For the full head-to-head between the two Aston Martins themselves, see the FXX-K Evo vs Valkyrie AMR Pro guide. This article covers all three in one place.

Real-World Background
2018 Ferrari FXX-K Evo
The FXX-K Evo is a track-only evolution of the LaFerrari. Ferrari unveiled it in 2017 as part of the brand’s 70th anniversary celebration at Mugello Circuit. At its heart is a 6.3L V12 producing 860 hp, combined with a 190 hp electric motor for a total of 1,050 hp. Power goes to the rear wheels through an F1-spec dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox. The Evo package increases downforce by 23% over the standard FXX-K and by up to 75% over the LaFerrari itself. It is not road legal. It was never meant to be. Ferrari produced it exclusively for client racing events on closed circuits.
2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro
The Valkyrie AMR Pro is the track-only extreme of an already extreme car. It was developed in collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies. Its Cosworth-built 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 produces 1,000 hp — one of the most powerful naturally aspirated engines ever fitted to a production car. In the real world, it weighs just 2,370 lb, which is 600 lb lighter than the road-going Valkyrie. It generates more than 3G of lateral force through corners. Only 25 units were ever built. Every single one was sold before deliveries began.
2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie (Road Car)
The road-going Valkyrie uses the same Cosworth 6.5L V12, but adds a 160 hp electric motor for a combined system output of 1,140 hp. It weighs 2,976 lb — heavier than the AMR Pro but still extraordinarily light for a car of this power. The wheelbase is 380mm shorter than the AMR Pro’s, and the aerodynamic package, while still extreme by any normal standard, is significantly less aggressive. It is road legal, which means it has to make compromises the AMR Pro does not. Production was limited to 150 units at $3.5 million each.
Ferrari FXX-K Evo vs Aston Martin Valkyrie – Race Type Breakdown
Road Racing
The FXX-K Evo is the strongest overall road racer of the three. Its 8.7 acceleration and 9.4 launch mean it builds speed faster out of every corner. It performs consistently across long highway routes, wide circuits, and fast sweepers. The Valkyrie road car is a close second — its 9.2 speed stat means it pulls ahead on long straights, but its weaker acceleration and launch mean it loses ground out of slower corners. The Valkyrie AMR Pro is excellent in road races too, but its lower top-end speed makes it less ideal on layouts with long, open sections.
One thing all three share: avoid Tokyo’s tight, bumpy city streets. None of these cars handles rough urban conditions well. For those events, drop down to a tuned S2. For more details, see our guide to the best roads and mountain passes in FH6.
Touge Battles
Touge is where the FXX-K Evo and Valkyrie AMR Pro separate from the road car. Both share a 9.4 handling stat and perfect braking — that combination is exactly what touge routes demand. The FXX-K Evo has a slight edge on exit thanks to its higher launch. The Valkyrie AMR Pro’s lower PI makes it a better fit in restricted class touge events. The road Valkyrie, with its 8.8 handling and 8.0 launch, is good but not in the same bracket as the other two on tight, technical mountain passes.
See the best cars for touge battles guide and individual route breakdowns at Bandai Azuma Touge, Hakone Nanamagari Touge, and Mt. Haruna Touge.
Circuits and Track Events
This is where the Valkyrie AMR Pro earns its place. On smooth, flowing circuits with long sweeping corners and frequent direction changes, its 9.4 handling and perfect braking make it the most precise car of the three. It rewards clean lines and late braking more than any other R-Class machine. The FXX-K Evo is only just behind it here — its better acceleration means it builds speed quicker out of tighter sections. The road Valkyrie works well on wide, fast circuits where its speed stat pays off, but it cannot match the AMR Pro’s corner-exit grip.
High-Speed Events and Speed Zones
The 2023 Valkyrie road car wins here. Its 9.2 speed stat is the highest of the three by a significant margin. On long highway sections and speed camera events, it simply goes faster at the top end. The FXX-K Evo is a solid second pick. The Valkyrie AMR Pro, with its 7.9 speed stat, is the weakest of the three on pure velocity events — its strengths are in corners, not straights. See the best cars for speed traps and speed zones guide for broader class comparisons.
Drag Racing
The FXX-K Evo’s 9.4 launch stat makes it the drag winner of the three. The road Valkyrie’s 8.0 launch and the AMR Pro’s 8.6 are both considerably behind. For dedicated drag racing, however, none of these three are the top overall pick in the game. See our best drag cars guide for the full picture.
PR Stunts
The FXX-K Evo and Valkyrie road car are both strong across most PR Stunt types. The FXX-K Evo has the launch advantage for danger signs, while the Valkyrie road car is the better pick for speed cameras and speed zones. The Valkyrie AMR Pro is the weakest of the three for PR Stunts due to its lower speed stat. See our PR Stunts guide for a full event-type breakdown, and the Airfield Takeoff Danger Sign guide for a specific challenge where launch matters most.

Welcome Pack Version vs Standard FXX-K Evo
There are two versions of the Ferrari FXX-K Evo in FH6. The base Autoshow version costs 4,500,000 CR. The Welcome Pack version — included with Deluxe and Premium editions — comes pre-tuned to R-998 PI. It has better speed, acceleration, and launch than the standard car. If you own the Welcome Pack, you can buy this version for just 250,000 CR, making it the best value car in R-Class by a wide margin. The stats in this article use the Welcome Pack version. The standard version is still an excellent car — the difference is marginal in most races.
Tuning All Three Cars
All three cars are RWD at stock. That means throttle control out of corners is the single most important skill you need. Sloppy inputs will spin you out on any of them. The FXX-K Evo is the most forgiving of the three out of the box. The Valkyrie AMR Pro demands the cleanest lines but rewards them with exceptional grip. The road Valkyrie sits between the two — more forgiving than the AMR Pro but not as planted as the FXX-K Evo at lower speeds.
For all three, a good starting tune focuses on softening the rear suspension slightly and adjusting brake bias toward the front. This prevents rear-end snap under heavy braking. See the full car tuning guide and mechanical balance system for detailed setup advice. The best settings guide is also worth checking before you start tuning.
Which Car Should You Buy First?
Buy the Ferrari FXX-K Evo if:
- You want one car that works in almost every R-Class event
- Acceleration and launch are central to your racing style
- You own the Welcome Pack and want the R-998 version for 250,000 CR
- You want the highest PI in the comparison
Buy the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro if:
- You can unlock it free via the Collection Journal and want to skip the 4.2 million CR spend
- You race smooth, technical circuits where handling matters more than straight-line speed

Final Verdict
For most players, the Ferrari FXX-K Evo goes in the garage first. It has the highest PI, the best acceleration and launch, and it works in almost every R-Class event without needing heavy tuning. If you own the Welcome Pack, it is also the best value car in the entire class.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro is the specialist. On the right circuit with the right inputs, it outhandles everything in R-Class. Its free unlock path through the Collection Journal makes it a must-have second car.
The 2023 Valkyrie road car fills a different gap entirely. Its 9.2 speed stat is the best of the three, and at 2,750,000 CR it is significantly cheaper. If speed zone events and long highway races are your focus, this is the Aston Martin to buy.
The ideal R-Class garage has all three — each one covers the races the other two do not. Start with the FXX-K Evo, unlock the AMR Pro for free through Collection Journal, then save for the road Valkyrie as your speed-focused third pick.
