The radio towers in FH6 can be found in the northwest part of Ohtani region, next to the border with Shimanoyama.

More precisely: Ohtani is a very large region with lots of radio towers, but the specific one you are looking for is in the mountain range far west of the region, on the border with Shimanoyama, west of the Horizon Festival Site in Ohtani. There will be multiple red radio towers nearby, but it is the one next to the large wooden house and the white tower too, so it sticks out from the rest.

The set you want sits in the mountain range on the far western edge of the region, right against the Shimanoyama border, west of the Ohtani Horizon Festival Site. Look for a cluster with a few red towers, one tall white tower, and a small wooden building.

How to Get to the Ohtani Radio Towers

To find the location of the radio towers, first either go to the Chiheisen Scramble Horizon Festival site and head west, or go to the Mech My Day start site and then head north. Stay on the route until you pass the Shimanoyama Day Trip start site, then continue north until you spot a dirt path to the left. Turn onto it and follow the path directly to the radio towers.

The key visual cue to look for is the combination of red towers plus one taller white tower – there are red towers scattered across the Ohtani plain, but only this specific cluster has the white tower alongside it. Once you see that mix, you are in the right spot.

The Mazda RX-7 at the Ohtani Towers

The 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE is located on the western edge of the Ohtani region, near the border with Shimanoyama, west of the Ohtani Horizon Festival Site. The car is parked in an open flat area among a cluster of radio towers. When you arrive at the correct tower cluster, the RX-7 will be parked nearby. Location 2 – Legend Island Radio Towers (Official Discovery Landmark)

This is the Radio Towers location that counts for 100% Discover Japan completion and the one most guides are referring to when they talk about the Radio Towers as a Discover Japan point.

The Radio Towers in Forza Horizon 6 are located on Legend Island, an area found on the eastern side of the map. It is tucked away on a dirt road route on Legend Island.

The two red-and-white Radio Towers are located right in the middle of Legend Island.

How to Unlock Legend Island

Legend Island is a separate section of the map that is physically cut off from the main world by barriers. You cannot drive there freely during normal campaign exploration until you meet a major progression milestone.

Finding the Radio Towers in Forza Horizon 6 requires unlocking Legend Island first by earning the Gold Wristband. Once you gain access, travel toward the center of the island.

To earn the Gold Wristband: you must hit 32,500 Festival Points to trigger the Horizon Legend Event. Completing this race unlocks the final Gold Wristband.

Can You Access Legend Island Without a Gold Wristband?

For players who need to complete a challenge on the island or at the Radio Towers without a Gold Wristband, you can go through the EventLab tab to see the island for a brief time. All you have to do is search the EventLab challenges to find a player-created scenario that lets you access Legend Island, even without a Gold Wristband. Then, once you finish up your business on the island, you can exit the scenario.

This is a useful workaround if you just need to tick off the Discovery for a challenge, but note that EventLab access does not unlock the island permanently. You will still need the Gold Wristband for unrestricted access.

How to Get to the Radio Towers on Legend Island

Once you are on Legend Island with Gold Wristband access:

Look for the Legend Island Cross Country Circuit area. Follow the nearby road heading east. Continue until the route divides. Take the path leading north. Watch the side of the road for two large red-and-white Radio Towers. The towers are positioned near a bend in the road, making them visible once you approach the correct area.

If you launch the Legend Island Cross Country Circuit event, you can follow the main route heading east. When the path splits, turn north – when you reach a bend, the two towers will be sitting on your left.

How to Complete the Radio Towers Discovery

You do not need a special vehicle, rare car, or specific upgrade setup to reach the location. The objective itself is simple because you only need to drive near the landmark to complete the Discovery. Once you drive past the towers, the Discover Japan notification fires automatically and the points are credited to your account.
