TL;DR
- There are 66 accessories in Phantom Blade Zero, split into Offensive, Defensive, and Support types.
- You can equip up to six accessories at once — more slots unlock through the ability training menu.
- Accessories come from chests, boss drops, quest rewards, and NPC merchants across all regions.
- All accessories can be polished (upgraded) once you unlock Jewel in the Village of Lu.
- Some accessories are missable — tied to quests that must be completed before certain story beats.
Accessories are one of the most important parts of your build in Phantom Blade Zero. They are not just small stat bumps — many of them change how you fundamentally play: widening parry windows, restoring HP on guard breaks, boosting Phantom Edge damage, generating Sha-Chi, and more.
With 66 accessories spread across every region, it is easy to miss a large chunk of them. This guide lists every accessory by region with its type, effect, and how to get it.
How Accessories Work in Phantom Blade Zero
Accessories are divided into three categories. Offensive accessories increase damage or Guard Break output. Defensive accessories reduce damage taken or improve survivability. Support accessories manage Sha-Chi, Remnant Spark, summons, and other mechanics.
Soul starts with three accessory slots. Two more can be unlocked by spending Remnant Dust in the ability training menu under Boundless Capacity. A sixth and final slot opens later. Running six accessories that work together is a meaningful power spike.
Every accessory can be upgraded through polishing. The first polish costs a Tainted Crystal Shard and Remnant Dust. Some accessories have a second polish requiring a Refined Indigo Crystal. See our guide on how to polish accessories for full details. Polishing is unlocked by speaking to Jewel in the Village of Lu.

Accessory Tips for Phantom Blade Zero
- Unlock more accessory slots early. Boundless Capacity Lv. 1 and Lv. 2 in the ability training menu add two more slots for a few thousand Remnant Dust each. More slots mean more passive effects active at once.
- Mix types for balanced builds. A common setup is two Offensive, two Defensive, and two Support accessories. Adjust based on the boss or region you are in.
- Polish your most-used pieces first. Materials are limited early. Prioritize accessories that match your playstyle rather than spreading polish thin across everything. See our accessory polishing guide for the full breakdown.
- Polishing is permanent — no refunds. Unlike weapon upgrades, accessory polish materials cannot be recovered. Make sure the accessory fits your build before spending a crystal on it.
- Some accessories require return visits. The Hunter’s Chain Sickle, Bastion, Flaming Mane, and Illusory Pipa all unlock zones or paths in earlier regions. Keep a mental note of blocked areas you passed early on — several accessories are hiding behind those barriers.
- Quest accessories are the most missable. Accessories tied to tales like A Healer’s Mercy, Don’t Forget Me, A Brother Once More, and The Star Performer can be locked out if you push too far in the main story. Do side tales as you go through each region.
