Step 1 — The King is Dead – Long Live the King: Travel with Yennefer to Skellige. After investigating the druid’s laboratory, you’ll get trapped together. When the prompt appears, choose to kiss Yennefer. This opens the door for the romance path.

Step 2 — No Place Like Home: This is a main quest that happens after you find all the allies at Kaer Morhen. During the drinking scene, Yennefer will take Geralt away from the group. When prompted, agree with her. This leads to another intimate moment and moves the relationship forward.

Step 3 — The Last Wish: This is the critical quest. Yennefer will invite Geralt to meet her on the isle of Larvik in Skellige. At the end of the quest, you’ll face an important choice. Select the option to agree with Yennefer. This locks her in as Geralt’s main love interest and gives her the romantic ending.

How to Romance Triss in The Witcher 3 Remastered

Triss Merigold is the other main romance option. She has been Geralt’s love interest across all three Witcher games. Romancing her requires two key dialogue choices across two quests in Novigrad.

Quests Required for the Triss Romance

• A Matter of Life and Death (Secondary Quest)
• Now or Never (Secondary Quest — must be done before Isle of Mists)

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1 — A Matter of Life and Death: You will attend a masquerade ball with Triss in Novigrad. When she runs into the garden maze, follow her. When the prompt appears, kiss Triss under the fireworks. This sets up the romance but doesn’t lock it in yet.

Step 2 — Now or Never: Help Triss evacuate the mages from Novigrad. This is a major quest and must be completed before you reach the Isle of Mists — otherwise it expires and you lose the romance. At the docks, when Triss is about to leave on the ship to Kovir, you must say:

• “Stay with me”
• “I love you”

Choosing these two lines commits Geralt to Triss. She will stay, and this leads to a romance scene. Triss will also appear in the ending if you have not also committed to Yennefer.

How to Romance Keira Metz in The Witcher 3 Remastered

Keira Metz is the first romance option most players discover. You meet her early in Velen and follow her quest chain. The romance happens naturally at the end of her final quest if you make the right calls.

Romancing Keira has no impact on the Triss or Yennefer endings.

At the picnic, when she makes her proposal — agree. Follow her trail to the nearby water. This completes the romance scene with Keira.

If you say you’re not in the mood or tell her there’s someone else, you’ll miss the romance. Simply say yes when she asks.

How to Romance Madame Sasha in The Witcher 3 Remastered

Madame Sasha — real name Carthia van Canten — is a Nilfgaardian spy who works undercover in Novigrad. You meet her during the Gwent tournament in the city. She’s sharp, witty, and easy to miss if you skip the High Stakes quest.

This is a one-time fling with no impact on your main romance.

Start the High Stakes quest and enter the Gwent tournament at the Passiflora. You don’t actually need to win the whole tournament to romance Sasha. During the event, either beat Sasha at Gwent or agree to help her if she approaches you. After this, she will invite you to dinner. Simply agree to have dinner with Sasha and the romance scene will follow.

How to Romance Jutta an Dimun in The Witcher 3 Remastered

Jutta an Dimun is known as the Iron Maiden — the finest warrior in all of Skellige. She made a vow to only be with a man who can defeat her in combat. So if you want to romance her, you need to prove yourself.

This is a one-time fling with no impact on your main romance.

Quest Required

• Iron Maiden (Skellige — isle of Faroe, near the village of Harviken)

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Go to Jutta’s location in Faroe and speak with her. She will give you a task — collect a special blade. Complete her task and return.

Step 2: Fight Jutta in a duel and win. You must defeat her fairly — no bombs, no potions, no signs. A clean sword fight.

Step 3: After winning, she invites you to get mead. Reply “Gladly.” Then visit her home in Harviken later that evening. When she makes her offer, agree to stay and the romance scene will play out.

How to Romance Shani in The Witcher 3 Remastered (Hearts of Stone)

Shani appears in the Hearts of Stone DLC as an old friend of Geralt’s. She’s a medic with a warm heart, and her romance is one of the most well-written in the entire game.

This is a one-time fling. It does not affect your relationship with Triss or Yennefer.

Step 1: Play through Dead Man’s Party. Near the end of the quest, Shani walks off alone. Stay at the party instead of leaving. This triggers the secondary quest A Midnight Clear.

Step 2: Read Shani’s entry in your journal (Glossary → Characters → Shani) to learn she has a fondness for rowan plants. Then use your Witcher Senses in the area to locate a rowan branch. Pick it up. This is the best gift to bring her.

Step 3: Find Shani sitting alone and give her the rowan. Then follow the dialogue closely. Use flirtatious options, including “You’ve got me” when she worries about being alone. Continue the romantic dialogue to the end.

Note: If you bring mead or brandy instead of flowers, Shani will get drunk and the scene plays out more humorously. It still counts as a romance but has a different tone. Rowan flowers lead to a sweeter, more heartfelt scene.

How to Romance Syanna in The Witcher 3 Remastered (Blood and Wine)

Syanna — also called Sylvia Anna — is a central character in the Blood and Wine DLC. She’s complicated, has a dark past, and her romance happens at a very specific point in the expansion’s main story.

• Beyond Hill and Dale (triggers after choosing to find Syanna)

Step 1: During The Night of Long Fangs, you’ll be given a choice — go find Orianna or go find Syanna. Choose to seek out Syanna. This opens the quest Beyond Hill and Dale.

Step 2: Complete Beyond Hill and Dale. At the end of the quest, you’ll fight and defeat the Cloud Giant.

Step 3: After the fight, Syanna will say Geralt is still useful to her. When asked how, reply with “Useful? How?” Then select the option to [Let her have her way with you].

That’s all it takes. The romance scene follows immediately.

Brothels in The Witcher 3 Remastered

Beyond the named romance characters, you can visit three brothels in the game:

• The Passiflora — Novigrad, the most expensive establishment in the city
• Crippled Kate’s — Novigrad, a cheaper alternative
• Belles of Beauclair — Toussaint (Blood and Wine DLC)
