Cyno Stellar Conduct Best Build & Team in Genshin Impact

    By Lilly Daniels · August 13, 2026 · 14 min read
cyno stellar conduct best build overview

Cyno Stellar Conduct build has completely changed how this character is played in Genshin Impact. After his Version 6.7 Witch’s Revelation buffs, Cyno went from a middling on-field DPS into a genuine Stellar-Conduct carry — and his free Constellation 1 from the “Temper Thyself and Journey Far” event made him accessible to almost every player. Mostly mediocre since his release, his buffs alongside the free Constellation 1 have made him a strong Stellar-Conduct carry. He is now far more forgiving to play thanks to a much lower reliance on Energy Recharge. This guide covers everything you need to build him right — artifacts, weapons, stat priority, teams, constellations, and rotation.

If you are exploring Snezhnaya and building your Stellar-Conduct roster, check out our Frostfairy Flower farming guide for Odette’s ascension materials and our Yae Miko Stellar Conduct build — both pair directly with Cyno in the best current teams.

    TL;DR

    • Cyno is a powerful on-field Electro main DPS after his 6.7 buffs
    • Best artifact set: Disenchantment in Deep Shadow (4-piece) for Stellar-Conduct teams
    • Best weapon: Staff of the Scarlet Sands — converts EM into ATK for massive scaling
    • Main stats: EM Sands, EM Goblet, CRIT DMG Circlet
    • Best team: Cyno + Odette + Yae Miko + Qiqi
    • F2P team: Cyno + Cryo Traveler + Alyosha + Diona
    • Talent priority: Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack
    • Constellation priority: C1 > C6 > C2 > C4
    • C1 is free through the permanent “Temper Thyself and Journey Far” event

Who Is Cyno in Genshin Impact

Cyno is a 5-star Electro Polearm user from Sumeru, first released in Version 3.1. He serves as the General Mahamatra and wields a unique gameplay style built around his Elemental Burst form. His kit revolves around entering his Burst state with Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness, which periodically allows him to trigger the Endseer stance and unleash powerful Judication effects when timing his Elemental Skill.

Thanks to his buffs in patch 6.7, Cyno’s strongest build is, by far, being played as a Stellar-Conduct DPS. These teams make perfect use of his Elemental Mastery scalings and buffs, alongside his CRIT, while solving many of his prior kit issues. One of the biggest quality-of-life changes is that Cyno is now able to enter his Burst state by casting an Elemental Skill outside of his Burst state. This removes the biggest frustration of playing him — having to rely on teammates for energy and waiting for the Burst to come back up before dealing damage.

He is available on Genshin Impact’s official site and free to download on Android, iOS, PlayStation, Epic Games, and Xbox.

    How Cyno Stellar Conduct Works

Cyno himself cannot trigger the Stellar-Conduct reaction — he needs a Stellar Linchpin character on his team to convert Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct and deploy a Polestar Field. As of version 7.0, only three units do this reliably: Odette, Sandrone, and the Cryo Traveler. Cryo Traveler is the only free-to-play enabler, which matters if you are building a budget lineup.

Once the Polestar Field is active and Cyno is in his Pactsworn Pathclearer state, his Mortuary Rites (Enhanced Elemental Skill hits) become Stellar-Conduct damage. His Electro damage has taken a significant backseat to his Stellar damage, which is only accessible through those Mortuary Rites. This makes landing every Endseer window during his Burst correctly more important than ever.

Cyno’s Elemental Mastery stat directly feeds his Stellar-Conduct damage output, which is why the build stacks EM more aggressively than his older Aggravate-focused setup.

    Cyno Stellar Conduct Best Artifacts

Best Set: Disenchantment in Deep Shadow (4-Piece)

For Stellar-Conduct Cyno, it’s better to go for the Disenchantment in Deep Shadow set to amplify every Stellar-Conduct reaction he triggers while increasing his ATK% and CRIT Rate at the same time. This transforms Cyno into a strong Stellar-Conduct enabler, especially after you stack more Elemental Mastery into his build through his artifacts’ main stats and substats.

The 2-piece bonus gives +18% ATK. The 4-piece bonus increases Superconduct reaction DMG by 80% and Stellar-Conduct reaction DMG by 40%, and grants a +16% CRIT Rate bonus when attacking enemies affected by Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct. That built-in CRIT Rate lets you invest more substat rolls into CRIT DMG and Elemental Mastery rather than chasing CRIT Rate on every piece.

    Alternative Artifact Sets

    • Gilded Dreams (4-piece): Still works for his older Aggravate playstyle, but for a Stellar-Conduct focus this set amplifies the reaction directly while feeding him ATK and crit. Use Gilded Dreams if you do not yet have a good Disenchantment in Deep Shadow set — it remains solid in mixed teams where Cyno can trigger Aggravate alongside Stellar-Conduct.
    • Thundering Fury (4-piece): This set is not recommended on Cyno in Stellar-Conduct teams, as he will not be activating the Elemental Skill cooldown reduction unless you have Dendro or Hydro on the team. Save this for teams that include those elements.
    • 2-piece ATK% + 2-piece EM mix: A workable placeholder while farming Disenchantment in Deep Shadow. Not optimal, but will hold up during early progression.

    Cyno Stellar Conduct Stat Priority

    • Sands: Elemental Mastery — primary choice in Stellar-Conduct teams since EM directly scales his SC damage. If using Staff of Scarlet Sands and/or playing a team where Cyno triggers Hyperbloom, Elemental Mastery should be used.
    • Goblet: Elemental Mastery — double EM main stats is the recommended setup for Stellar-Conduct Cyno to maximize reaction scaling
    • Circlet: CRIT DMG (preferred) or CRIT Rate — lean CRIT DMG since the 4-piece set already provides 16% CRIT Rate

    Substat Priority

Prioritize substats in this order: CRIT DMG, then CRIT Rate, then Elemental Mastery, then ATK%. Keep enough Energy Recharge to reliably cast his Burst. In Stellar-Conduct teams he often won’t need any Energy Recharge at all, and no more than around 120% at most. His 6.7 buff allowing Skill entry into the Burst state significantly reduced his ER dependency.

    Cyno Stellar Conduct Best Weapons

    Best 5-Star Weapons

    • Staff of the Scarlet Sands (Best in Slot): Building Cyno with the Staff of the Scarlet Sands still provides him with the best stats to trigger the hardest-hitting Stellar-Conduct reactions in Genshin Impact. This is mainly because the 5-star Polearm grants Cyno a huge amount of ATK based on his Elemental Mastery, giving players more freedom in how they build him. Since Cyno stacks EM for Stellar-Conduct scaling, this weapon converts all that EM into bonus ATK — creating a compounding effect that outperforms every other option.
    • Staff of Homa: A strong alternative offering high CRIT DMG and a powerful HP-scaling ATK bonus. Solid on Cyno if you do not have his signature weapon, particularly at high HP thresholds.
    • Skyward Spine: Provides Energy Recharge and CRIT Rate. Less impactful in Stellar-Conduct teams where ER is less needed, but still a usable option if Burst uptime is still an issue for you.

    Best 4-Star Weapons

    • Song of the Vigil (F2P Craftable, Best 4-Star): Whenever Cyno triggers any Elemental reaction, the 4-star Polearm regenerates energy for him and increases his Stellar-Conduct DMG. This should be enough to improve Cyno’s rotations and DPS in general. An excellent free option that directly supports the Stellar-Conduct playstyle.
    • White Tassel: Cyno’s best purely free option. Simple CRIT Rate secondary stat and a decent Normal Attack DMG bonus. Works as a placeholder early on.
    • Deathmatch: Provides CRIT Rate, which eases stat requirements and lets you invest more rolls into CRIT DMG. Good if you have it from the Battle Pass.

    Cyno Talent Priority

Elemental Skill first. Cyno is still reliant on his quick-time event Enhanced Skills to deal the majority of his damage, and this stands even truer for his Stellar-Conduct teams. The Mortuary Rites triggered during his Burst state are his primary damage source and scale with Skill talent level. Level this to 9 or 10.

Elemental Burst second. Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness activates his Pactsworn Pathclearer state and unlocks all the power of his kit. It also determines the multipliers on his Judication hits. Level to 9 or 10 alongside the Skill.

Normal Attack last. Cyno’s Normal Attack during his Elemental Burst form does not scale with his Normal Attack talent. Since you will ideally be doing damage only during Cyno’s Elemental Burst, his Normal Attack talent should be left untouched or for last.

Cyno Constellations in Stellar Conduct Teams

Cyno’s Constellations are incredible in Stellar-Conduct teams, as they gain additional effects they normally wouldn’t have. His C1 and C2 are both huge damage increases for early Constellations, and C6 will more than double his damage.

Constellation 1 — Ordinance: Unceasing Vigil (Free)

C1 is Cyno’s most important early investment and is free through the permanent “Temper Thyself and Journey Far” event for any player who has Cyno on their account. In Stellar-Conduct teams it provides a significant boost to his Stellar-Conduct damage output. C1 and C6 carry the most value, C2 is a strong follow-up, and C4 is more of a supportive stepping stone. Get C1 immediately if you have not already.

Constellation 2 — Ceremony: Homecoming of Spirits

A strong follow-up to C1. Provides a meaningful damage increase in Stellar-Conduct teams and pairs well with C1’s buffs to make a noticeably stronger Cyno than C0. Worth chasing after C1 if you plan to invest in him.

Constellation 4 — Austerity: Forbidding Guard

A supportive constellation that eases the team’s rotation slightly. Decent quality-of-life improvement but not a significant personal damage boost. Lower priority than C1, C2, and C6.

Constellation 6 — Raiment: Just Scales

C6 is Cyno’s strongest constellation and gives him the biggest damage increase. It allows him to fire additional Duststalker Bolts after using his Burst or triggering Judication, greatly improving his damage during Pactsworn Pathclearer. With Stellar-Conduct, these extra bolts can become Duststalker Bolts – Starsame, giving his updated kit a much higher damage ceiling. C6 Cyno is a massive power spike — arguably more than doubling his personal damage in Stellar-Conduct.

    Constellation priority: C1 > C6 > C2 > C4

Cyno Stellar Conduct Best Team Comps

Best Team: Cyno + Odette + Yae Miko + Qiqi

This is the strongest Stellar-Conduct team for Cyno in Version 7.0. Odette acts as the Stellar Linchpin, converting Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct and applying consistent off-field Cryo. Odette is a no-brainer for the team. She enables Stellar-Conduct, buffs the team while dealing significant personal damage of her own, and regularly applies Cryo to maintain Stellar-Conduct.

Yae Miko brings off-field Electro damage through her Sesshou Sakura turrets, her C1 providing the whole team with 50% Electro and Stellar-Conduct DMG Bonus whenever the reaction fires. Qiqi rounds out the team with healing and additional Cryo application, reinforcing Cryo Resonance for an extra 15% CRIT Rate. Qiqi has a much shorter cooldown and will be better if your rotations are under 20 seconds.

Aggravate Flex: Cyno + Odette + Yae Miko + Nahida

Stellar-Conduct can be triggered on an enemy affected by Electro-Charged or Lunar-Charged. Providing a large Elemental Mastery buff that Cyno will make great use out of. The Dendro application will also let him trigger Aggravate while still having Stellar-Conduct. Nahida replaces the healer here — she provides Dendro for Aggravate reactions, gives the party a powerful EM buff via her Burst, and opens up artifact options like Gilded Dreams or Thundering Fury. This team trades some survivability for higher reaction damage potential.

    Lunar-Charged Team: Cyno + Odette + Ineffa + Columbina

Including Ineffa and Columbina allows Cyno to trigger both Lunar-Charged, amplified by Ineffa and Columbina, and Stellar-Conduct, amplified by Odette. It’s a more diverse team that can deliver, rather than using a traditional team format. Lunar-Charged damage counts toward the stacks for Stellar-Conduct, so Cyno will still be able to max that out. This generally won’t be stronger than some of the other options, but being able to use both reactions allows Cyno to deal with both bosses that want Stellar reactions and those that want Lunar reactions.

F2P Team: Cyno + Cryo Traveler + Alyosha + Diona

You can build an F2P team for Cyno by replacing Odette with Cryo Traveler in Genshin Impact. They will also transform Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct and give Cyno enough buffs to deal higher DMG when he triggers it. Alyosha is a free 4-star from the Archon Quest and brings ATK%, EM buffs, and off-field Electro application. Diona fills the healer and shielder role while also providing Cryo particles for Cyno’s energy. This team requires no limited 5-stars beyond Cyno himself and clears all current content comfortably.

    Cyno Stellar Conduct Rotation

Cyno’s rotation requires attention to timing, but the core loop is consistent once you learn it. Here is a standard rotation for the Cyno + Odette + Yae Miko + Qiqi team:

    • Step 1: Deploy Yae Miko’s three Sesshou Sakura turrets (Elemental Skill x3)
    • Step 2: Use Qiqi’s Elemental Skill for healing and off-field Cryo application
    • Step 3: Activate Odette’s Elemental Skill to set up the Polestar Field and Stellar-Conduct conversion
    • Step 4: Switch to Cyno and use his Elemental Burst to enter Pactsworn Pathclearer form
    • Step 5: Use Cyno’s Elemental Skill whenever the Endseer interval is active to trigger Judication and Mortuary Rites (Stellar-Conduct hits)
    • Step 6: Stay on field for the full Burst duration, hitting 4 Endseer windows ideally
    • Step 7: When the Burst ends, rotate supports again and repeat

Ideally, you will go up to the 4th hit in Cyno’s Normal Attack chain and do a dash cancel if his Skill is on cooldown, and use the Skill if it isn’t, as this will fit into the Endseer interval. Maximize the number of Enhanced Skill hits during his Burst window — that is where the bulk of Stellar-Conduct damage comes from.

Should You Pull or Build Cyno for Stellar Conduct

Yes, especially with the free C1. Cyno has multiple options for how you can build him, ranging from not just his primary Stellar-Conduct teams, but also reaction focused teams like Lunar-Charged and Hyperbloom, and Overload teams focused more on his raw Electro damage. His Stellar-Conduct build is by far his strongest current setup and gives him a clear role in the current Snezhnayan meta.

Players who already have Cyno should claim the free C1 from the event immediately. His C1 alone transforms him into a meaningful Stellar-Conduct carry. If you do not own Odette yet, the Cryo Traveler is a solid free substitute that keeps the Stellar-Conduct system active and lets you start farming artifacts while saving for future banners. Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cyno good in Stellar Conduct teams?

Yes. After his Version 6.7 Witch’s Revelation buffs, Cyno became a strong Stellar-Conduct main DPS. His Elemental Mastery scaling synergizes well with the reaction, and his ability to enter his Burst state via Elemental Skill makes him far more reliable to play than before.

What is the best artifact for Stellar Conduct Cyno?

Disenchantment in Deep Shadow (4-piece) is the best artifact set for Stellar-Conduct Cyno. It increases ATK by 18% with the 2-piece, and the 4-piece boosts Stellar-Conduct DMG by 40% and grants +16% CRIT Rate against enemies affected by Superconduct or Stellar-Conduct.

What is the best weapon for Stellar Conduct Cyno?

Staff of the Scarlet Sands is his best-in-slot weapon. It converts a portion of his Elemental Mastery into bonus ATK, compounding with his EM main stats to deliver huge damage. For free-to-play players, Song of the Vigil (Snezhnayan craftable) is the best 4-star alternative and directly buffs his Stellar-Conduct DMG.

Who are the best teammates for Stellar Conduct Cyno?

The best team is Cyno + Odette + Yae Miko + Qiqi. Odette enables Stellar-Conduct as the Stellar Linchpin, Yae Miko provides powerful off-field Electro and team buffs at C1, and Qiqi handles healing and Cryo application. For a free-to-play option, replace Odette with Cryo Traveler and Yae Miko with Alyosha.

Does Cyno need a lot of Energy Recharge for Stellar Conduct?

No. His 6.7 buff lets him enter the Burst state by casting Elemental Skill outside of the Burst, greatly reducing his ER dependency. In most Stellar-Conduct teams you only need around 120% Energy Recharge at most — some setups need none at all.

What constellation should I get first for Cyno?

Constellation 1 is the highest priority and is currently free through the permanent “Temper Thyself and Journey Far” event for players who already own Cyno. After C1, the priority is C6, then C2, then C4.
