What Are Raider’s Effigies in Destiny 2?

Raider’s Effigies are glowing golden collectibles added to every raid and dungeon in the Monument of Triumph update. The raid version is tied to the Under the Rug triumph. Every single effigy emits a bright, unmistakable golden glow, making them visually distinct from the standard environment.

Completing Under the Rug rewards 50 Legendary Marks — one of the largest single payouts in the Monument of Triumph triumph system. None of them require puzzle solving or encounter completions once you reach the correct location, making this one of the easier Moments of Triumph collectibles to finish.

If you want to save a massive amount of time, you can use community checkpoint bots to load straight into the specific encounters. This allows you to grab the item and leave without spending hours doing full runs.

If you are also hunting the dungeon version of this collectible, see our full guide to all Raider’s Effigies locations in dungeons for the companion In Every Corner triumph.

All 10 Raider’s Effigy Locations in Raids

1. Last Wish — Dreaming City

After defeating Morgeth, and just before the staircase that leads to the Vault encounter, a Raider Effigy can be picked up near a bench and a broken tree. Use a checkpoint right after the Morgeth encounter and walk the natural path forward. As you start traversing the main path toward the Vault, you will come across a giant staircase. The effigy is sitting directly at the foot of this largest staircase. You will almost certainly walk directly over it if you are not paying attention.

2. Garden of Salvation — Black Garden

Just before the Sanctified Mind encounter, within the large open field — after getting on the field, look for the Effigy on the left, in between the second and the middle Minotaur statue. This effigy sits between the spinning wheel jumping puzzle section and the Sanctified Mind boss. Once you climb up the wheels, do not just sprint ahead. Jump up onto the high plateau area that features a stunning Vex milk pond and waterfalls. The effigy is sitting right up there on the plateau.

3. Deep Stone Crypt — Europa

Within the space jumping puzzle, after fighting Atraks-1, this Effigy is found while on your way to the next encounter, during the second half of the puzzle, when you make a right turn from a huge platform. This is one of the most atmospheric pickups in the entire list. The glowing effigy spawns right while the legendary Deep Stone Lullaby track plays. It is located just a few platforms past the standard secret chest. Follow the catwalk path toward the Descent encounter and it will be directly in front of you.

4. Vault of Glass — Venus

In the final arena of the Raid, where you fight the Gatekeepers and the Atheon boss, look for the Effigy right in the middle of the floating platform, in front of the spawning point. Load into the final boss room where Atheon spawns. Walk right up onto the main central damage platform in the middle of the arena. The effigy is sitting directly on the stone plate right in front of you as you enter the room. Grab it before placing a rally banner so you do not forget during the encounter.

5. Vow of the Disciple — Savathûn’s Throne World

After completing the third encounter, and right in front of the door that opens up the path to Rhulk, the final boss, the Effigy is located near a bunch of staircases. You can grab this one immediately after finishing the chaotic Exhibition encounter. As soon as the encounter wraps up and the final exit door opens, the effigy will be sitting right in front of your face. This is one of the hardest to miss on the entire list.

6. King’s Fall — Dreadnaught

After the Golgoroth boss fight, within the pushing-walls jumping puzzle, follow the invisible platforms by pulling out your Ghost, until you come across an entrance on the opposite side of where you first came into the area. The Effigy can be found inside. This is the only effigy that requires a bit of navigation. After killing Golgoroth, enter the infamous pushing-walls platforming section. Pull out your Ghost to reveal the hidden platforms, follow them across to the opposite side, find the hidden entrance, and the effigy is waiting inside. Take your time here — the platforms disappear when no one stands on them.

7. Root of Nightmares — Pale Heart

Navigate through the raid until you reach the main arena for the Explicator of Planets encounter. The collectible is sitting right out in the open near the center of the room. Grab it right before your team places down the rally flag so you do not forget about it during the chaos of the boss fight. This is one of the simplest pickups in the entire list. Load into the Macrocosm encounter, walk toward the central arena, and the effigy is directly on the main walkway leading toward the planets.

8. Crota’s End — Moon

In the final boss area, at the back side of the arena, right in front of the Oversoul. Walk straight onto the main elevated platform where Crota physically spawns into the world. The glowing item is sitting right there on the stone floor, so just interact with it before you trigger the crystal to start the actual encounter. Load into the Crota boss checkpoint and pick it up before doing anything else.

9. Salvation’s Edge — Pale Heart

In the second encounter within the Herald of Finality boss area, go past the main boss arena, and you will find the Effigy at the end. This one is a bit tricky because even though it is in an obvious room, it tends to blend into the environment. The effigy is tucked quietly into a corner right near the area where you dunk your resonances to initiate the damage phase. Check the corners carefully before starting your damage phase.

10. Desert Perpetual — Kepler

After crossing the first yellow bridge, take the elevator to the platform where you select your encounters. Launch The Desert Perpetual raid on Kepler, travel to The Nursery — the central encounter-selection hub — follow the long golden pathway leading upward, reach the upper circular platform containing the giant purple sphere, and the final Raider’s Effigy sits directly in front of the sphere and can be collected immediately after reaching the hub. This is the fastest grab on the entire list if you spawn directly into the hub area.

Tips for Collecting All Raid Effigies Fast

  • Use checkpoint bots. The fastest strategy is to use community checkpoint bots or join checkpoint groups for each raid. Nearly every Raider’s Effigy is located near a checkpoint-accessible section, allowing you to collect all ten without completing full raid clears.
  • Grab the effigy before touching the rally banner. In multiple raids, the effigy sits right beside the flag for the next encounter. Placing the banner and triggering the fight does not block collection, but it adds pressure. Always collect first, then rally.
  • King’s Fall is the most effort-intensive. The Golgoroth jumping puzzle requires Ghost navigation and careful platforming. Give yourself extra time here and do not rush. All other effigies are much more straightforward.
  • Track your progress in the triumph menu. Open the Monument of Triumph triumph screen and check the Under the Rug progress. Each effigy you collect ticks off a node, so you always know which raids are still outstanding.
  • Pair with loot farming when possible. If you are already running a raid for weapons or armor, grab the effigy during the same session. Check our full guide to all raid loot tables for what each raid drops.

What Does the Under the Rug Triumph Reward?
