Destiny 2 Star Wars Weapons — TL;DR
- There are 8 Star Wars-inspired weapons in Destiny 2 Renegades — 6 Legendary and 2 Exotic.
- The 6 Legendary Blasters use a new Heat Weapon system — firing generates heat instead of consuming ammo. Overheat reduces damage.
- The 2 Exotic weapons are the Praxic Blade (lightsaber) and the Heirloom (Chewbacca’s bowcaster).
- Uncivil Discourse is the best Legendary Blaster for both PvE and PvP — modeled after Han Solo’s DL-44.
- Refurbished A499 is the only Heavy Legendary Sniper in the set — inspired by the Mandalorian’s Amban rifle and deals 2,362 damage per shot.
- All 6 Legendary Blasters drop from Lawless Frontier activities and the Renegades campaign.
- The Heirloom Exotic only drops from the Equilibrium dungeon final boss.
Destiny 2 Star Wars weapons are the centrepiece of the Renegades expansion, launched December 2, 2025. There are 8 weapons directly inspired by the Star Wars galaxy — from Han Solo’s blaster to the Mandalorian’s sniper and Chewbacca’s bowcaster. This guide covers every weapon, its Star Wars origin, the best god rolls for PvE and PvP in 2026, and exactly how to get each one.
How the Heat Weapon System Works in Destiny 2 Renegades
Before farming any Blaster, you need to understand the Heat Weapon mechanic. It affects every Legendary Blaster in Renegades.
Instead of a traditional magazine and reload, Heat Weapons generate heat as you fire. Firing too fast causes the weapon to overheat. Overheating reduces damage output and adds recoil until the weapon cools down.
Managing heat is the key skill. Each weapon archetype has a slightly different heat profile:
- Dynamic Heat — high damage, faster heat generation. Rewards burst-style shooting with pauses to cool.
- Balanced Heat — moderate heat build-up. More forgiving for sustained fire.
- Disruption — single-shot heavy archetype. No traditional heat loop — fires one devastating round.
Several perks interact directly with this system. Cooling Baubles reduces heat when you collect elemental pickups or Orbs of Power. Delicate Tuning improves heat efficiency. Thermal Atomization triggers explosions on kills when at high heat. Learning which perks manage or exploit heat is what separates a good roll from a great one.
All Star Wars Weapons in Destiny 2 Renegades
Uncivil Discourse — Arc Hand Cannon (Han Solo’s DL-44)
Type: Dynamic Heat Weapon | Special Ammo | 140–180 RPM | Arc
Star Wars inspiration: The DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol used by Han Solo throughout the franchise. Manufactured by BlasTech Industries. One of the most recognisable blasters in Star Wars history.
How to get it: Drops from Lawless Frontier destination activities and the Renegades campaign. You can also buy a lower-tier version from the weapon stalls on the east side of the Tharsis Outpost Bazaar for 1,000 Credits — useful for testing rolls early.
Uncivil Discourse God Rolls
PvE God Roll:
- Perk 1: Cooling Baubles — collecting elemental pickups and Orbs of Power reduces heat build-up. In ability-heavy PvE builds, this creates a passive heat management loop that keeps you firing longer.
- Perk 2: Jolting Feedback — sustained damage applies Jolt to targets. Arc Jolt chains lightning to nearby enemies on subsequent hits, making this devastating in groups.
PvP God Roll:
- Perk 1: Lone Wolf or Keep Away — both improve accuracy and range when isolated from teammates.
- Perk 2: Precision Instrument — stacks up to 25% bonus damage on precision hits, rewarding accurate shooting. At 91 headshot damage, two headshots and a bodyshot secures a kill.
Uncivil Discourse is S-Tier. It is the first legendary 180 RPM Special Ammo hand cannon of its kind and performs strongly in both playlists. Holofoil versions carry a unique origin trait that further boosts damage — chase the shiny drop when possible. This is one of the highest-priority weapons to farm in all of Renegades.
Modified B-7 Pistol — Stasis Hand Cannon (Cassian Andor’s K-16 Bryar Pistol)
Type: Dynamic Heat Weapon | Primary | 180 RPM | Stasis

Star Wars inspiration: The K-16 Bryar Pistol carried by Cassian Andor in Andor and Rogue One.
How to get it: Drops from Lawless Frontier destination activities and the Renegades campaign.
Modified B-7 Pistol God Rolls
PvE God Roll:
- Perk 1: Rapid Hit or Demolitionist
- Perk 2: Headstone — precision kills spawn a Stasis crystal near the target. Essential for Stasis builds that need crystal generation for ability regen and freeze combos.
PvP God Roll:
- Perk 1: Eye of the Storm — improved handling and accuracy as health decreases, useful in close duels.
- Perk 2: Precision Instrument
The B-7 Pistol is A-Tier. The Firefly + Headstone combination in particular is one of the strongest Stasis perk pairings available on a primary weapon. Good for Stasis builds that want consistent crystal uptime without sacrificing a special weapon slot.
All or Nothing — Strand Pulse Rifle (Boba Fett’s EE-3 Blaster Rifle)
Type: Dynamic Heat Weapon | Primary | 540 RPM | Strand

Star Wars inspiration: The EE-3 Carbine Blaster Rifle used by Boba Fett. Seen in Return of the Jedi and The Book of Boba Fett.
How to get it: Drops from Lawless Frontier destination activities.
All or Nothing God Rolls
PvE God Roll:
- Perk 1: Hatchling — precision kills and final blows spawn a Threadling, feeding Strand ability loops.
- Perk 2: Thermal Atomization — kills trigger explosions when the weapon is at high heat. With a Strand subclass, this creates simultaneous Threadling spawns and explosive add-clear in dense groups.
PvP God Roll:
- Perk 1: Firefly
- Perk 2: Kill Clip or Master of Arms
All or Nothing is A-Tier and one of the best Strand primaries in Renegades. Hatchling on a pulse rifle is genuinely rare, and the Thermal Atomization synergy makes it a top option for Strand Warlock and Strand Hunter builds in both seasonal content and the Lawless Frontier. For context on how Strand weapons pair with Equilibrium dungeon drops, the Equilibrium dungeon loot guide covers weapons like Sullen Claw and High Tyrant that complement this build.
Compact Defender — Void Sidearm (Leia Organa’s Sporting Blaster)
Type: Dynamic Heat Weapon | Primary | 360 RPM | Void

Star Wars inspiration: The Drearian Defense Conglomerate Defender Sporting Blaster, also known as Satine’s Lament. Used by Princess Leia in A New Hope.
How to get it: Drops from Lawless Frontier destination activities.
Compact Defender God Rolls
PvE God Roll:
- Perk 1: Destabilizing Rounds — kills create a Void burst that makes nearby enemies volatile and grants Volatile Rounds.
- Perk 2: Repulsor Brace — defeating a Void-debuffed enemy generates an overshield. With Destabilizing Rounds active, this triggers consistently on every kill in groups.
PvP God Roll:
- Perk 1: Delicate Tuning
- Perk 2: Precision Instrument
The Compact Defender is A-Tier for Void builds. The Destabilizing Rounds + Repulsor Brace loop provides both damage spread and constant overshield, which pairs well with Fortune’s Favor Hunter boots for stacked overshield uptime.
M-17 “Fast Talker” — Stasis Submachine Gun (DC-17m Clone Commando Blaster)
Type: Balanced Heat Weapon | Primary | 900 RPM | Stasis

Star Wars inspiration: The DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System used by Republic Clone Commandos during the Clone Wars. Featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, and Battlefront II.
How to get it: Drops from the Renegades campaign and Lawless Frontier reward chests.
M-17 Fast Talker God Rolls
PvE God Roll:
- Perk 1: Cooling Baubles or Tactical Heatsink — both manage heat to maintain the 900 RPM rate of fire longer without overheating.
- Perk 2: Crystalline Corpsebloom — rapid final blows spawn Stasis crystals near kills. On a 900 RPM SMG, this triggers constantly in add-dense content.
PvP God Roll:
- Perk 1: Perpetual Motion
- Perk 2: Kill Clip
The Fast Talker is B-Tier. The Balanced Heat archetype gives it better sustained uptime than Dynamic Heat SMGs, which is a genuine advantage in prolonged engagements. Stasis crystal spawning from Crystalline Corpsebloom is a fun loop but not competitive with the top-tier Lawless Frontier weapons.
Refurbished A499 — Kinetic Heavy Sniper (The Mandalorian’s Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster)
Type: Disruption Weapon | Heavy | 72 RPM | Kinetic

Star Wars inspiration: The Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster carried by Din Djarin in The Mandalorian. A devastating disruptor sniper that can disintegrate targets. First appeared in The Star Wars Holiday Special alongside Boba Fett.
How to get it: Drops from Lawless Frontier destination activities, the Renegades campaign, and at Rank 2 reputation with the Pikers Syndicate.
Refurbished A499 God Rolls
The A499 is a single-shot Heavy Sniper. It does not use the traditional heat loop — it fires one enormous round, then must be reloaded. It is not viable for PvP as a Heavy weapon.
PvE God Roll:
- Perk 1: Snapshot Sights — faster ADS for quicker entry into damage phases.
- Perk 2: Aggregate Charge — deals increased damage to targets with elemental debuffs applied. Pairs with any subclass that applies burns, jolts, or weaken.
The Refurbished A499 deals 2,362 damage per shot at base, giving it 2,834 sustained DPS — competitive with top legendary DPS strategies. An animation cancel on reload also increases its effective output further. It is the first Legendary Heavy Sniper of this Disruption archetype in Destiny 2. The perk pool is limited but the raw damage output makes it worth farming for endgame boss damage. It is B-Tier overall but jumps to A-Tier specifically for sustained DPS phases against raid and dungeon bosses.
Destiny 2 Star Wars Exotic Weapons
Praxic Blade — Solar Exotic Sword (The Lightsaber)
Type: Exotic Kinetic Sword | Special Ammo
Star Wars inspiration: The lightsaber — the iconic weapon of Jedi and Sith across the entire Star Wars franchise.
How to get it: Unlocked during the Fire and Ice Exotic mission in the Renegades campaign. Every player who completes the campaign receives the Praxic Blade.
The Praxic Blade is not just a melee weapon. Heavy attacks throw the blade, which seeks multiple targets autonomously. Hold the throw input for a charged straight-line attack. While guarding, incoming projectiles are deflected back toward your aim point.
It has one of the largest customisation systems in Destiny 2 history — 3 Forms, 4 Catalysts, 11 Focus Mods, 3 Power Cores, and 15 Dark Matter Crystal color options. For the full upgrade path, see the Praxic Blade upgrades guide.
Heirloom — Solar Exotic Crossbow (Chewbacca’s Bowcaster)
Type: Exotic Solar Combat Bow | Heavy
Star Wars inspiration: The Bowcaster wielded by Chewbacca throughout the Star Wars films. Fires explosive energy bolts that can be charged for increased power and area of effect.
How to get it: Drops from the Equilibrium dungeon final boss (Dredgen Sere). Guaranteed during Contest Mode. Outside Contest, it is a random drop that you can only earn once per character per week. Completing Equilibrium Triumphs increases your base drop chance.
Heirloom Exotic Perks
- Big Game Hunter: Aim down sights to overcharge the next bolt fired. Each charge level increases damage and area of effect.
- Bolt Thrower: Fires high-powered explosive bolts. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.
Heirloom Catalyst: Direct hits with charged shots apply Scorch. The weapon deals increased damage against scorched targets.
Heirloom is a Solar build staple for its anti-Unstoppable coverage and Scorch synergy. For a full breakdown, see the Heirloom Exotic Crossbow guide. For the full Equilibrium loot table and farming tips, check the Equilibrium dungeon weapons and armor guide.
Best Star Wars Weapons to Farm First in Destiny 2 Renegades
Here is a priority order for 2026 based on meta performance and farming efficiency:
- 1. Uncivil Discourse — S-Tier. Best Blaster in the set. Farm Lawless Frontier activities immediately. Check the Tharsis Bazaar stalls for cheap copies while chasing a god roll.
- 2. Heirloom — S-Tier Exotic. Run Equilibrium weekly on all three characters. Complete Triumphs to stack the drop rate before your first clear each week.
- 3. All or Nothing — A-Tier. Best Strand primary from the Blaster set. High priority for Strand Warlock and Hunter builds.
- 4. Compact Defender — A-Tier. Best Void sidearm option. Strong with Void subclasses and Fortune’s Favor Hunter builds.
- 5. Modified B-7 Pistol — A-Tier. Chase Headstone rolls for Stasis builds. Farms alongside Uncivil Discourse from the same source.
