Fortnite Runners Battle Pass — price and how to get it
The Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass costs 800 V-Bucks. That price has been standard since Epic reduced it from 1,000 V-Bucks back in March 2026. You can also get it through a Fortnite Crew subscription at $11.99 a month, which includes the current pass automatically.
To buy it, open Fortnite and go to the Battle Pass tab in the main menu. Confirm you are on the Runners season and purchase from there. The pass expires August 20, 2026. Any rewards you have not claimed by then are gone.
You earn XP in any Fortnite experience — Battle Royale, LEGO, Festival, or Creative all count toward unlocking rewards.
How the Battle Pass unlock order works in Chapter 7 Season 3
This season changed the unlock system. Chapter 7 Seasons 1 and 2 let you pick which skin to unlock first. Runners brings back level-gated unlocks — each skin unlocks at a specific seasonal level and you cannot change the order. The Guardian is free on day one. Everything else requires hitting level thresholds in sequence.
There is also a 25-level Battle Bundle available that gives you a head start. If you prefer to skip the grind, individual rewards can be purchased at 150 V-Bucks each, up to 99 rewards total. For the fastest XP routes this season, see the Chapter 7 Season 3 XP farm guide.
All Fortnite Runners Battle Pass skins
The Guardian — Level 1

The Guardian unlocks the moment you buy the pass. It is a customizable mech suit piloted by a Sprite. This is where the Battle Pass gets interesting in 2026 — the Guardian is not a standard skin. Its pilot styles are unlocked by actually finding and extracting Sprites in Battle Royale matches.
Every new Sprite you extract from an Extraction Site grants you that same Sprite as a pilot option for the Guardian. The mech also has swappable helmets, body parts, arms, and color palettes. Some parts are locked behind the Assemble the Guardian quests. Claiming all 14 Guardian rewards across both pages unlocks a second Guardian outfit style.
The TheBurntPeanut Sprite is tied to this system. It is an extremely rare in-match Sprite drop — not a direct reward on the Battle Pass track. You have to find it as random loot from chests, extract it at an Extraction Site before you are eliminated, and survive long enough to bank it. Once extracted, it unlocks TheBurntPeanut as a Guardian pilot option. For more on this, see our TheBurntPeanut Sprite guide.
The Voidblade — Level 10 or 20

The Voidblade is a faceless ninja-style skin with a tech-suit and star motif running through its cosmetics. It unlocks around level 10 or 20 depending on which page you reach first. Players who prefer no-face skins in competitive play tend to gravitate toward this one.
A bonus style called Spaceburn Voidblade is available on the bonus page, but only after claiming all 101 Battle Pass rewards.
Cluster — Level 10 or 20

Cluster is the rubber duck character of the lineup. He unlocks alongside Voidblade — one at level 10, the other at level 20. Cluster is tied to the Cluster Coast POI on the Shattered Coast map, which features his duck-shaped yacht and suite.
Two bonus styles — Trouble Reddy and Night Captain Cluster — are available on the bonus page and require all 101 rewards claimed first.
Heatwave PJ — Level 35 or 45

Heatwave PJ is a DJ-themed skin with sound and radio cosmetics running through her set. She is a remix of the PJ character from previous seasons. The DJ PJ alternate style is locked behind the bonus page and requires all 101 rewards.
Wolfe — Level 35 or 45

Wolfe is a soldier in a metal wolf helmet. He unlocks alongside Heatwave PJ. His set is the only one of the eight with no bonus page. If you are trying to prioritize which skins to chase first, Wolfe is the most skippable of the eight. He has no timed unlock or special mechanic attached.
Dylan — Level 60 or 70

Dylan unlocks around level 60 or 70 and stands out as the most visually striking original character in the pass. Her set comes with a fur jacket and distinctive styling. Players who bought the pass before June 13 at 11:59 PM ET received the Gold Huntress Dylan bonus style and accessories as part of the launch week reward. The launch window for that has now closed.
A Pastel Punisher style for Dylan sits on the bonus page behind all 101 rewards.
Vanguard Slone — Level 60 or 70

Vanguard Slone is a new take on Dr. Slone, one of the most lore-significant characters in Fortnite’s history. She is back in a sleek bodysuit with a holographic cloak. She unlocks alongside Dylan at level 60 or 70.
A timed bonus style called Zero Phase Slone is set to unlock on July 16, 2026. This is not available yet. If you want Slone’s best-looking style, you will need to wait for that date and have all 101 rewards claimed. For context on why Slone is back and what her role is in the Runners story, see the Fortnite Geno lore guide.
John Wick (Pen & Ink) — Level 85

John Wick is the final skin in the pass and the headline collaboration. He unlocks at level 85 in a cel-shaded Pen & Ink comic art style created specifically for Runners. This is a different outfit from the John Wick skin available in the Item Shop — not a re-release, but a distinct alternate take on the character.
John Wick also comes with his Dog (Pen & Ink) as a Sidekick. The Dog does not unlock automatically — you have to complete a rescue quest in-game to get it. Once rescued, the Dog sidekick appears in your locker.
A third John Wick style is timed and set to unlock on July 30, 2026. Details on that style have not been fully revealed yet.
Fortnite Runners launch week bonus rewards
Players who purchased the Battle Pass before June 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET were eligible for a set of launch week bonus cosmetics. These were separate from the standard reward track and tied to the opening window only.
The confirmed launch week bonus items include:
- Gold Huntress Dylan — bonus outfit style for Dylan
- John Wick and Dog — bonus cosmetic tied to the Wick crossover
- Dark Cubic Sneakers — Kicks cosmetic
- Additional accessories tied to the Dylan set
The launch week window has now closed. If you bought the pass after June 13, these bonus items are no longer available.
Fortnite Runners Battle Pass bonus page rewards
After claiming all 101 standard Battle Pass rewards, a bonus page unlocks. Several skins have extra styles gated here. Reaching this point requires significant XP investment and is a late-season goal for dedicated players.
Confirmed bonus page rewards include the Spaceburn Voidblade style, DJ PJ style, Trouble Reddy Cluster, Night Captain Cluster, Pastel Punisher Dylan, and Zero Phase Slone. The timed Zero Phase Slone style arrives July 16.
Is the Fortnite Runners Battle Pass worth it
The Runners pass at 800 V-Bucks is one of the better-value passes in recent memory. Eight skins at that price point is solid. The Guardian is genuinely different from any previous Battle Pass skin — its customization is tied to in-game gameplay rather than just cosmetic edits, which adds a reason to keep playing beyond leveling up.
John Wick at level 85 is achievable within a season if you play consistently. The timed styles for Slone and Wick give mid-season and late-season goals to work toward.
If you are playing Runners and want to maximize what you get from the pass, make sure you are collecting and extracting Sprites each match. Every extraction unlocks a Guardian pilot. See the guide on how to level up Sprites and the best Sprites in Fortnite Runners to know which ones are worth prioritizing for both the Guardian and your gameplay builds.
