The Seven Sliders are a new movement item in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. They drop as random loot from standard containers anywhere on the map. There is no special quest, challenge, or unlock condition. You find them the same way you find any other Epic-rarity item — through luck and looting.
Here is every loot source where Seven Sliders can appear:
- Floor loot — possible but low chance. Do not rely on this as your main method.
- Standard chests — better odds than floor loot. Open as many as possible early.
- Rare Chests — noticeably higher drop rate. Prioritize these over regular chests.
- Supply Drops and Meteors — best odds from random loot sources. Chase these when they land nearby.
You can only carry one pair at a time. Once the durability is fully depleted, the boots are gone for the rest of the match.
How to increase your chances of finding Seven Sliders
Running an Earth Sprite raises the rarity of loot that drops from chests. This directly improves your odds of pulling Seven Sliders from any container. How to get the Mythic Limitless Seven Sliders in Fortnite Runners
The Limitless Seven Sliders are the Mythic version of the boots. They have infinite durability and never overheat, which means you can Power Slide indefinitely without any cooldown.
There are two ways to get them:
Sinister Strip locked prison cell
This is the most reliable method. Head to Sinister Strip and solve the puzzle to open the locked prison cell. Inside, you will find two Rare Chests. The Limitless Seven Sliders can drop from these chests. The drop is not guaranteed every time — you can still get a standard Epic pair — but the Rare Chests here offer one of the best chances in the game.
The puzzle involves cutting the power to the electric bars before touching the door. The electric bars knock you back immediately if you approach them while the power is still on. Once both security lights turn green, the cell opens.

Wishing Fountain at Sunken Shores

How to use Seven Sliders in Fortnite Runners
The Seven Sliders activate automatically when you slide. You do not need to equip them in your hand slot. Start sprinting, then press your slide button — the boots fire their built-in mini-jets and launch you forward at high speed.
Power Slide — fast movement across the map
Hold the slide button while moving to enter a Power Slide. Your speed increases well beyond normal sprint speed. This works on flat ground, but downward slopes on the Shattered Coast terrain push you to maximum velocity.
As you slide, the boots fill up an overheat meter. Once the meter maxes out, the boots enter a short cooldown and stop working temporarily. Use the cooldown window to reposition on foot before sliding again.
You can also perform boosted jumps while sliding. Hold the jump input mid-slide to launch yourself into the air. This is useful for reaching high ground or escaping a fight fast. Note that boosted jumps heat the boots faster, so use them selectively.
How to stop the Seven Sliders from overheating
Sliding across water prevents the overheat meter from triggering a cooldown. The boots still lose durability while in water, but they stay cool, which means you can slide for much longer stretches. The Shattered Coast has several water paths worth learning if you want to chain long slides.
Car washes also recharge the Seven Sliders. If your durability is running low mid-match, find a car wash on the map and run through it to restore the boots. This is a mechanic most players do not know about in 2026, so it gives you an edge when you need to extend the item’s lifespan.
Bullet Time — slow time while sliding
The most powerful feature of the Seven Sliders is Bullet Time. While sliding at high speed, aim down sights with any weapon. This triggers a brief slow-motion effect. Time slows around you, and your weapon’s spread decreases, making it significantly easier to land shots while moving.
Bullet Time also consumes durability, so do not spam it unnecessarily. Use it when you are close to an enemy and need that precise window to land a shot before sliding past them.
The Seven Sliders do not protect you from fall damage. They are a movement and combat tool, not a safe-landing item. A long drop will still hurt you.
How to damage opponents with style using Seven Sliders
There is a quest in Fortnite Runners that asks you to deal 150 damage with style using the Seven Sliders. The wording confuses a lot of players. “With style” does not mean emotes or cosmetics. It means dealing damage while actively sliding with the boots equipped.
The easiest way to complete this quest:
- Find Seven Sliders early in the match and commit to finishing the quest that game. The drop is random, so do not wait for a second match to try again.
- Target hostile NPCs rather than enemy players. NPCs are easier to hit while sliding and less likely to punish your movement patterns.
- Activate Bullet Time just before you reach an NPC cluster. The slow-motion window lets you land shots cleanly.
- Aim slightly ahead of your slide direction to account for your own movement when targeting enemies.
- 150 damage sounds like a lot, but a few Bullet Time passes through NPC groups will reach it quickly.

Seven Sliders vs Limitless Seven Sliders — what is the difference
- Seven Sliders (Epic) — Limited durability. Overheats after roughly five seconds of continuous sliding on land. Durability depletes permanently with each use.
- Limitless Seven Sliders (Mythic) — Infinite durability. Never overheat. Can slide indefinitely without any cooldown. All other mechanics are identical.
The Mythic version is one of the strongest utility items in the season. If you get it from the Sinister Strip Rare Chests, treat it as a priority keep in your loadout for the rest of the match.
