Chunk is one of the most intimidating enemies in Resident Evil Requiem. This massive, bloated bioweapon stalks the upper floors of the East Wing in the Rhodes Hill Care Center, blocking hallways and making exploration a stressful experience for Grace. You can choose to tiptoe around him, but if you want the Grace and Goliath trophy or achievement — and the very useful Eye Spy Charm — you will need to take him down.

Where to Find the Chunk in Resident Evil Requiem

You will first encounter Chunk while searching for the ID Wristband Level 1 on the upper floor of the East Wing. As soon as you approach the wristband, Chunk appears and chases Grace. Your only option at that moment is to run back to the Lead Researcher’s Office and wait for it to retreat.

After that first encounter, Chunk patrols the hallway between the Examination Room and the Blood Lab on the upper East Wing floor. He is too big to follow you into smaller rooms, which is exactly what you use against him.

Important Warning – Do Not Wait Too Long

You must kill Chunk before entering the Isolation Ward. Once you move on and the game switches back to Leon’s perspective, Chunk will disappear from the Care Center permanently. You will lose your only chance to earn the Grace and Goliath trophy and the Eye Spy Charm. Kill him during Grace’s East Wing section.

How to Kill the Chunk in Resident Evil Requiem

There are two ways to kill Chunk as Grace. One saves ammo, the other is faster but more resource-heavy.

Method 1 – Hemolytic Injectors (Recommended)

This is the best method because it saves your rare ammo. Here is how to do it step by step.

Step 1 – Craft three Hemolytic Injectors. Each injector requires 60 Infected Blood and 1x Scrap. You will need three total. Collect Infected Blood from the Blood Lab and by looting fallen zombies or Blood Buckets. Scrap comes from containers and lockers throughout the Care Center. Step 2 – Go to the Blood Lab. Chunk is too large to follow Grace into the Blood Lab or the Treatment Room. Use these rooms as your safe space throughout the whole process.

Step 3 – Wait for Chunk to turn away. From inside the Blood Lab, watch the connecting hallway. Chunk will eventually turn its back toward Grace and face the other direction. This is your window.

Step 4 – Sneak up and use the injector. Move behind Chunk quietly and use a Hemolytic Injector on its back. Then retreat back into the Blood Lab or Treatment Room immediately.

Step 5 – Repeat three times. After three successful injections, Chunk’s body will shrivel and explode. The Grace and Goliath trophy will unlock.

Method 2 – Requiem Revolver (Ammo Heavy)

If you have enough rare Requiem ammo, you can simply shoot Chunk to death. Aim for the head each time. On Standard difficulty, around two to three headshots from the Requiem Revolver are usually enough to finish it off. On Hardcore, expect to need three or more.

Using regular handgun ammo is possible in theory, but it takes around 35 to 50 bullets on Standard difficulty. This is a major waste of resources and is not recommended.

Grace and Goliath Trophy – What It Requires

The Grace and Goliath trophy and achievement unlocks the moment Chunk dies at Grace’s hands. It does not matter which method you use — injectors or bullets both count. The description simply asks you to defeat a Chunk as Grace.

Eye Spy Charm Reward

When Chunk dies, it drops the Eye Spy Charm. This charm gives Grace a chance to survive a hit that would normally kill her. It is a great item to keep in your inventory, especially if you often find yourself at low health. Make sure to pick it up from Chunk’s remains right after the kill.

• Chunk gets stuck in doorways. His large size works against him. Use tight corridors to create distance and get behind him.
