How to Get All Trophies and Achievements in Resident Evil Requiem (RE9)

TL;DR

  • Resident Evil Requiem has 50 trophies on PlayStation (49 achievements on Xbox/PC).
  • You need at least 2 playthroughs, but 3 is highly recommended.
  • Most trophies are missable — use manual saves to act as chapter select.
  • Cheats like Infinite Ammo do not disable trophies or achievements.
  • Platinum takes around 20–30 hours total.
  • The hardest trophy is Remarkable Agent — beating the game on Insanity difficulty.

Resident Evil Requiem Trophy and Achievement Overview

Resident Evil Requiem (RE9) has a solid trophy and achievement list. It is not the most brutal platinum in the series, but it does ask for some planning. There are 50 trophies on PlayStation 5 — 1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 6 Silver, and 40 Bronze. On Xbox and PC, there are 49 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore.

The game is available on multiple platforms. You can grab it on PlayStation Store, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, or the Epic Games Store.

One very important thing to know — there is no chapter select. Once you finish an area, you cannot go back unless you have a manual save. The game gives you 12 manual save slots and 3 autosave slots. Use them wisely. Save in a new slot at the start of each major area. This way, you can jump back to clean up any missed collectibles or trophies without starting from scratch.

Also good to know: Files and Mr. Raccoon collectibles carry over between playthroughs. Everything else resets. Plan your runs carefully.

How Many Playthroughs Do You Need?

You need at least 2 playthroughs, but 3 is strongly recommended. Here is why:

  • Playthrough 1: Collect everything, do all missable trophies, play on Casual.
  • Playthrough 2: Speedrun on Casual — finish in under 4 hours, no healing, no Blood Collector.
  • Playthrough 3: Insanity difficulty run using Infinite Ammo and Infinite RPG.

Doing it in 2 playthroughs is possible but risky. You would need to combine the Speedrun with the no-healing and no-Blood-Collector runs on your second attempt. That is doable only if you already know the game well.

Resident Evil Requiem Trophy Roadmap

Step 1 — Casual Playthrough With All Collectibles (10–15 Hours)

Start on Casual difficulty. Enemies die faster, ammo is more plentiful, and your health slowly recovers to a moderate state on its own. This makes grinding easier and gives you room to breathe.

During this playthrough, your main goals are:

Keep a save at the beginning of each major region. This acts like a chapter select. After this run, you should have around 27,000 Challenge Points (CP) if you grabbed everything.

Before moving on, farm the Bloodlust trophy if you have not unlocked it. Reload a save, consume Transfusion Bags to hit 5,000 units of Infected Blood, and you will earn a large chunk of CP as a reward.

Step 2 — Casual Speedrun + No Healing + No Blood Collector (3–4 Hours)

This step combines three tough trophies in one run. You need to:

  • Finish the game in under 4 hours (Speed Demon)
  • Never use herbs or med injectors (Never Touch the Stuff)
  • Never use the Blood Collector (Minimalist)

Before starting this run, spend 5,000 CP in the Bonus Menu to buy the Koketsu (Grace) — an unbreakable knife. Since you cannot use the Blood Collector to craft ammo, this knife becomes your best friend for getting past enemies without spending bullets.

On Casual, your health auto-recovers to yellow. So taking damage is fine. Just do not eat herbs or use injectors. You can pick up healing items and discard or sell them — that does not count against you.

You can track your time under Challenges > Speed Demon. Pausing the game pauses the timer too. The 4-hour limit is generous — most players finish the speedrun in around 2.5 to 3 hours.

Important: Do NOT spend your remaining CP on anything else. Save it all for Infinite Ammo and the Infinite RPG before your Insanity run.

Finishing this run in under 4 hours also unlocks the Infinite Ribbon for Grace, which lets you save as many times as you want even on harder difficulties.

Step 3 — Insanity Difficulty Playthrough (3 Hours)

After the speedrun, you should have over 100,000 CP. Go to the Bonus Menu and buy:

  • Infinite Ammo: Guns — costs 50,000 CP
  • Infinite Ammo: RPG-7 (Leon) — costs 35,000 CP

With the Infinite RPG, Leon can one-shot every single enemy and boss in the game. For Grace, the Infinite Requiem revolver kills regular enemies in two body shots or one headshot. Insanity difficulty is not nearly as scary once you have these unlocked.

What changes on Insanity? Enemies have much more health, move faster, spawn in larger numbers, and late-game enemies appear from earlier in the story. Some collectible locations and safe codes also shift. Check our full difficulty breakdown for what to expect.

Also buy Freya’s Needle (Grace) — a fast pistol that comes in handy later in the story when Grace temporarily loses access to the Requiem revolver.

On Insanity, you can also skip the final boss by choosing to destroy Elpis. But keep in mind — if you need the Hope and Requiem trophy, you must choose to release Elpis. Learn more about this decision in our guide on whether to destroy or release Elpis.

Step 4 — Unlock All Concept Art and Models

After completing Insanity, you will earn 40,000 more CP. That is more than enough to buy all Concept Art and Models from the Bonus Menu, which together cost around 10,000 CP. Once you buy them all and the Model Manic and Curator trophies pop, the Platinum is yours.

Story Trophies (Cannot Be Missed)

These unlock automatically as you play through the main story. You cannot miss them.

  • Déjà vu — Encounter an outbreak in Wrenwood. Unlocks after Leon’s first section.
  • Descent Into Darkness — Reach the basement of the Care Center. Unlocks after Grace escapes the Isolation Ward.
  • It’s Been a Long Night — Reach the courtyard of the Care Center. Unlocks after opening the door requiring 3 Quartz.
  • A Harsh Reality — Escape the Care Center. Unlocks after escaping the Water Treatment Plant.
  • Going Down? — Reach the ground using the suspended platform. Unlocks as Leon in East Raccoon City.
  • The Hero Returns — Arrive at R.P.D. Unlocks as Leon upon entering the Police Department.
  • I Remember That, Too — Defeat the Super Tyrant. Unlocks after beating the boss outside RPD.
  • Umbrella’s Legacy — Find ARK. Unlocks as Leon upon arriving at the ARK Loading Dock.
  • The Final Mission — Start exploring the lower levels of ARK. Unlocks as Grace in the Dump area.

Ending and Difficulty Trophies

  • Hope and Requiem (Bronze) — Complete the main story by releasing Elpis. You must choose “Release Elpis” at the final decision point. Choosing the other option locks you out of this trophy.
  • Rookie Agent (Bronze) — Complete the story on Casual difficulty or higher.
  • Rising Agent (Bronze) — Complete the story on Standard (Modern) or higher.
  • Resolute Agent (Silver) — Complete the story on Standard (Classic) or higher. Note: Classic mode requires Ink Ribbons to make manual saves.
  • Remarkable Agent (Gold) — Complete the story on Insanity difficulty. This is the hardest trophy. Difficulty trophies stack, so beating Insanity also unlocks all lower-difficulty trophies.

For a full breakdown of all difficulty settings and what changes between them, check our difficulty options guide.

Challenge Trophies (Missable)

  • Speed Demon (Silver) — Complete the main story and release Elpis in under 4 hours. The timer pauses when you pause the game. Track it under Challenges > Speed Demon. Best done on Casual.
  • Never Touch the Stuff (Silver) — Complete the full game without using any Green Herbs or Med Injectors. Must track to 0 uses throughout the entire run. Casual recommended — health auto-recovers.
  • Minimalist (Silver) — Complete the story without Grace ever using the Blood Collector. Again, track the counter under Challenges > Minimalist. Must stay at 0.
  • Bloodlust (Silver) — Collect 5,000 units of Infected Blood with the Blood Collector. This can be farmed by reloading a save and collecting from Transfusion Bags repeatedly.
  • Credit Where Credit Is Due (Silver) — Earn 200,000 Credits total across the game as Leon.

Exploration and Collectible Trophies (Missable)

Combat and Gameplay Trophies (Missable)

  • Out of Sight, Out of Mind (Bronze) — Store any item in a box as Grace. The first box is in the Care Center’s Central Hall save room. Unmissable if you pay attention.
  • The Ol’ Fashioned Way (Bronze) — Save at a typewriter using an Ink Ribbon. Ink Ribbons only exist on Standard (Classic) and Insanity. Use one to save manually.
  • Like Mother, Like Daughter (Bronze) — Use a lockpick to open a drawer as Grace. Lockpicks are found in the Care Center. One is in the Lead Researcher’s Office, East Wing, 2nd floor.
  • Fatal Dose (Bronze) — Kill a zombie using a Hemolytic Injector. Do this in the Examination Room early in Grace’s story — an injector is right there. Crouch and sneak up from behind.
  • Science! (Bronze) — Unlock a crafting recipe using the Analyzer. Done in the Blood Lab during Grace’s story segment.
  • The Power of Blood (Bronze) — Craft any item using the Blood Collector. Follows naturally after unlocking recipes in the Blood Lab.
  • Blood! More Blood! (Bronze) — Use 300 units of Infected Blood across the run.
  • Bring Out the Big Guns (Bronze) — Stun the Girl using the Requiem revolver.
  • Untouchable (Bronze) — Successfully parry an enemy attack.
  • Can I Borrow This? (Bronze) — Pick up and throw a weapon dropped by an enemy.
  • Chop Chop (Bronze) — Finish 3 zombies using Hatchet finishers.
  • Retail Therapy (Bronze) — Buy any item from a supply crate.

Important Missable Trophies to Watch Out For

Almost every trophy in this game is missable. There are around 43 missable trophies total. The 9 story-related ones are the only guaranteed unlocks. Everything else needs attention.

Here are the ones players most commonly miss:

  • Hope and Requiem — You must choose “Release Elpis” at the end. If you pick the other option, you lose this trophy for that run.
  • Never Touch the Stuff — Even accidentally using one herb voids the trophy for that entire playthrough.
  • Minimalist — Even picking up the Blood Collector once and using it ends this run’s trophy. Do not even activate it.
  • All Mr. Raccoon figures — Some require access gated behind keycards or wristbands. Get them before leaving an area for good.
  • All Safes — Some safe codes change on Insanity difficulty. Do them on your Casual run first.

Save frequently. Save in a new slot every time you enter a major location like the Care Center, Rhodes Hill, or ARK.

Do Cheats Disable Trophies in Resident Evil Requiem?

No, cheats do not disable trophies or achievements. This is a big deal. You can use the Infinite Ammo, Infinite RPG, and Unbreakable Knife during your Insanity run, your speedrun, and even on your first playthrough. These items are unlocked from the Bonus Menu using Challenge Points (CP) you earn through normal play.

This is what makes the platinum much more approachable than previous RE games. Want to know how to unlock Infinite Ammo? See our dedicated guide on how to unlock infinite ammo in RE9.

Tips for Getting All Trophies Faster

Spend CP Wisely

Challenge Points are the key resource between playthroughs. Do not spend them on cosmetics or things you do not need yet. Priority order: Koketsu knife (5,000 CP) before the speedrun, then Infinite Ammo and RPG (85,000 CP total) before Insanity. Only buy Concept Art and Models at the very end.

Use Manual Saves as a Chapter Select

Since there is no chapter select, keep at least one save at the start of each area. If you miss a Mr. Raccoon or a safe, you can reload and grab it without replaying the whole game.

Farm Bloodlust Before the Speedrun

The Bloodlust trophy (5,000 Infected Blood units) takes time. Do it at the end of Playthrough 1 by reloading saves and collecting from Transfusion Bags. Get it done before you start the speedrun so you never have to worry about it again.

Know Your Puzzle Solutions

Time lost on puzzles during the speedrun really adds up. Know the answers ahead of time. Useful puzzle guides include: Chairman’s Office puzzle box, joint plugs in the basement, the Organ Transport Box, and the Dump Control Room Override Key.

Pick Up Key Items Early

Missing key items can block progress and cost you time. Know where to find things like the East Wing Keycard, West Wing Keycard, Level 1 ID Wristband, Care Center fuse, and generator fuel.

Know the Elpis Choice Before You Get There

The ending choice matters for two trophies. Releasing Elpis gives you Hope and Requiem. On Insanity, you can skip the final boss by choosing to destroy Elpis. Plan which choice you want for each run. Our guide on destroying or releasing Elpis covers both outcomes.

How Long Does It Take to Platinum Resident Evil Requiem?

Most players complete the full trophy list in around 20 to 30 hours. A first Casual playthrough with all collectibles takes 10–15 hours. The speedrun adds another 3–4 hours. The Insanity run with Infinite Ammo takes around 3 hours if you know the game. Add some cleanup time and you are looking at roughly 25 hours for a typical player.

Final Thoughts

Resident Evil Requiem is one of the friendlier games in the series when it comes to getting Platinum. The speedrun timer is generous, Insanity is manageable with Infinite Ammo, and cheats do not block trophies. The biggest thing is planning ahead. Use your manual saves, spend CP wisely, and follow the three-playthrough structure. If you do that, Platinum is very much within reach for most players.
