Prime Ice Constructs in Genshin Impact are Snezhnaya’s new buildable exploration mechanic — and knowing how to remove and manage them is just as important as knowing how to place them. Because these constructs can travel between worlds, buildings you create may show up in other players’ worlds, and their creations can appear in yours. Some of that sharing is helpful. Some of it gets in the way, whether a construct simply doesn’t fit your route or another Traveler dropped one to troll you. This guide covers how to remove individual constructs, bulk delete entire zones, adjust your sharing permissions, and what all nine construct types actually do.
If you are exploring Snezhnaya at the same time, our Snezhnaya Shrine of Depths guide and Frostfairy Flower locations will help you clear regional content in the same zones where constructs appear most. For quest-specific construct puzzles, our guides on Yarina’s Prime Ice Construct Quest and the Malevich Prime Ice Construct Quest walk through those individually.
TL;DR
- Open the map → tap Manage Prime Ice Constructs at the bottom → select a construct → choose Remove
- To delete multiple at once, use the “Prime Ice Construct in the current scene” bulk delete button
- To stop others’ builds appearing in your world, open the Prime Ice Construct menu → Settings → disable “Allow receiving Prime Ice Constructs from others”
- You must have the Eye of Graeae gadget equipped before you can build, remove, or manage any construct
- The management tool only covers your current scene — you need to repeat the process per sub-area
- There are 9 construct types as of Version 7.0
- Prime Ice Constructs only work inside Snezhnaya — the feature goes dormant in other regions
What Are Prime Ice Constructs in Genshin Impact
Prime Ice Constructs are physical structures you build in Snezhnaya’s open world using the Eye of Graeae gadget. The Eye absorbs a resource called Prime Ice from the environment and converts it into nine different types of buildable structures. These appear in the world and can assist with exploration, puzzle solving, and social interaction with other players. The constructs you place can also appear in other players’ worlds, and their constructs may appear in yours. Players can give a “Like” to helpful constructs they find, making this one of Genshin Impact’s first cooperative world-building features.
Building Prime Ice Constructs costs Kresnik Energy, which the Eye of Graeae stores and uses for three purposes: keeping you warm against the Bitter Cold, summoning your personal train, and building constructs. You cannot build if you are out of energy. Keep an eye on your energy bar during exploration and refill it at Mini Kresnik Torches or by breaking Kresnik Kristall Ores found across Snezhnaya.
How to Unlock Prime Ice Constructs
You can begin making these Prime Ice Constructs after you meet the Eye of Graeae. When you first arrive in Snezhnaya, the Traveler and Paimon will walk around the snowy and windy area. At one point, the duo will get separated, and the Traveler must find their floating companion. You’ll eventually reach a place filled with ice and a train carriage. After interacting with the warming device, you must explore the train carriage to try and find Paimon. In this carriage, you’ll come across the peculiar goggle, who introduces itself as the Eye of Graeae.
From that point on, the Eye of Graeae acts as your all-purpose Snezhnayan gadget. Equipping the Eye of Graeae also activates the Shadow Realm TPS mode when you enter a Shadow Realm zone, switching the camera to a third-person shooter perspective and giving you access to elemental firearms. Equip it in your gadget slot before attempting anything with Prime Ice Constructs.
How to Build Prime Ice Constructs
To build a Prime Ice Construct: record its blueprint using the Eye of Graeae, then open the gadget’s construction mode. Select the blueprint you want to use, position the preview where you need it. If the preview is shown in blue, the location is valid. Build the construct. If the preview turns red, the surface cannot accept that construct type — move the blueprint until the preview goes blue before confirming.
Two resources power the system. You spend Prime Ice as the physical material, and you draw on Eye of Graeae energy. Both have to be in your inventory for a construct to appear. Miss either one and the build option stays locked. Treat Prime Ice as a limited resource — spend it thoughtfully on constructs that solve puzzles or open exploration routes rather than using it freely.

How to Remove a Single Prime Ice Construct
There are two ways to remove an individual construct, depending on where you are on the map.
Method 1: Via the Map (Fastest)
Open the map, tap the Manage Prime Ice Constructs toggle at the bottom of the screen, select a construct, then choose Remove. The map method works when your location shows on the world map, so it’s the fastest way to tidy up an area or undo a mistake. Constructs appear as cyan-colored markers on the map, making them easy to spot.
Method 2: Via the Eye of Graeae (Works Everywhere)
If you’re standing near a structure, open the Prime Ice Construct menu with the Eye of Graeae and dismantle it on the spot. This is also the only option in areas where your position isn’t shown on the map, such as the Shadow Realm. On PC the button is T, on PlayStation it is L1 + Square, and on Xbox it is LB + X. Hover the cursor over the construct you want to take down and press Remove or Dismantle. The structure is destroyed immediately.
How to Remove Multiple Prime Ice Constructs at Once
If other players’ constructs are flooding your world or you want to clear an entire zone quickly, the bulk delete option is the fastest solution.
- 1Open the MapOpen your world map and look for the Manage Prime Ice Constructs toggle button at the bottom of the screen. Tap it to enter the construct management view.
- 2Select Any Construct MarkerThe constructs appear as cyan-colored markers across the map. Tap any one of them to select it and bring up the removal options.
- 3Use the Bulk Delete ButtonOnce a marker is selected, look for the button with a plus icon over a trash can. This is the bulk delete option. Tap it to open the mass removal panel.
- 4Choose What to RemoveAt the bottom of the screen, adjust the quantity and type of constructs you want to delete. You can select everything in the current scene, or filter by specific construct types such as Signs, Cubes, or Link Mechanisms.
- 5Confirm and DeleteSelect the Delete option to confirm. This action cannot be undone. The Manage Ice Construct menu only covers your current scene, so repeat this process for each sub-area of Snezhnaya where constructs are cluttering your world.
An important note: the Manage Ice Construct menu only covers the area you’re in. You’ll need to do it per sub-area as the menu only covers the area you’re currently in. :antCitation[]{citations=”84f7ce43-a8ff-4bac-b692-e2035358217a” injected=”space”} If constructs are still appearing after you delete, try logging out and back in — the game sometimes needs a refresh for the changes to fully register.
How to Stop Receiving Other Players’ Prime Ice Constructs
Removing existing constructs only solves half the problem. If you leave the sharing permission on, new ones from other players will keep appearing. Here is how to prevent that permanently.
Select the “Allow receiving Prime Ice Constructs from others” option so that the default checkmark becomes an X. This will prevent other Genshin Impact players from having their Signs and other similar features appear in your world.
:antCitation[]{citations=”c297fb91-0743-431f-baa8-9919e8d2e2ca” injected=”space”}
Open the Prime Ice Construct menu and press the settings button at the top to reach the permission controls. There you decide two things independently. You can choose whether your own buildings are shared with other players, and whether other players’ constructs are allowed to appear in your world. Turning off the receiving permission keeps other Travelers’ structures out entirely.
:antCitation[]{citations=”366de197-39b6-435b-9a76-b2f7ce408b14″ injected=”space”}
The two toggles you will find in the settings are:
- Share your own constructs: Controls whether your builds are visible in other players’ worlds. Keep this on if you want to help other Travelers with helpful placements.
- Allow receiving constructs from others: Controls whether other players’ builds appear in your world. Turn this off if you want a clean, solo exploration experience with no outside interference.
You can adjust these settings at any time. Turning them back on later allows the co-op features to resume.
All 9 Prime Ice Construct Types in Genshin Impact
As of version 7.0, there are nine types of Prime Ice Constructs. :antCitation[]{citations=”d26dc98c-52f0-4ab4-b463-4913ec20cb1a” injected=”space”} Understanding what each one does helps you decide what is worth keeping versus what to remove on sight.
- Cube: Raises objects, blocks movements of nearby objects, blocks view of certain guards, and allows Travelers to reach high places. :antCitation[]{citations=”a5527ee2-5e63-4e46-a2ae-7e4c98cc97d1″ injected=”space”} One of the most useful constructs for both puzzles and exploration. Always keep at least one available for pressure plate puzzles and doors that need a weight.
- Basic Heat Source: Provides a heat source that can melt nearby ice formations. Essential in areas with ice-sealed chests, passages, and Cryoculus nodes locked behind frozen barriers.
- Link Mechanism: Links between other Link Mechanisms for fast travel. :antCitation[]{citations=”06303fd1-761c-4694-94f7-d89753ba3725″ injected=”space”} Essentially a player-placed zipline or instant transit point. Very useful when placed between two high points — others’ well-placed Link Mechanisms are worth keeping.
- Grappling Gun: Grapple to a hook to pull or destroy objects. :antCitation[]{citations=”ae9355ca-d92b-40d2-bff2-e91e4de67ee2″ injected=”space”} Used for pulling mechanisms, breaking specific structures, and reaching anchored points in puzzles.
- Launching Platform: Launches the Traveler to higher ground. :antCitation[]{citations=”772ab6b7-b891-4a99-bbab-65a84fba4bff” injected=”space”} A fast alternative to climbing for reaching ledges. Use it to scout terrain quickly without spending stamina.
- Storage Device: Stores or picks up items, even among other players. :antCitation[]{citations=”76165142-2f1d-4008-80cb-1f26a5860027″ injected=”space”} Lets you leave or retrieve items that persist between sessions. Useful for co-op resource sharing.
- Ambient Bollard: Provides various buffs. :antCitation[]{citations=”adff3a05-c693-4a40-a071-42d53626890c” injected=”space”} A small but useful construct that can stack well near farming nodes and world bosses when you need short-term stat boosts.
- Sign: Icon: Leaves a message using icons. A social construct for communication — purely cosmetic and the most common type used for trolling. Safe to bulk delete.
- Sign: Text: Leaves a message using text. Same as the Icon sign but with written messages. Also purely social and fine to remove if cluttering your world.
Prime Ice Constructs Tips and Common Issues
- Constructs only work in Snezhnaya. Prime Ice placement only functions inside Snezhnaya. When you step out of the Cryo region the Eye of Graeae’s construction tools go dormant. :antCitation[]{citations=”87071243-fab3-4869-95ab-fd8e88cf0584″ injected=”space”} Do not try to use or manage them elsewhere.
- Keep a Cube available. Many doors and puzzle pressure plates in Snezhnaya need a weight to stay open. Running out of Cube materials mid-exploration can block your progress.
- Bulk delete Signs first. Sign constructs are by far the most commonly spammed by other players. When clearing a zone, filter by Signs first to quickly reduce visual noise before addressing functional constructs.
- Constructs still appearing after deletion? Log out and back in. If you’re still seeing some, try logging out and back in — the game sometimes needs a refresh for the changes to register fully.
- :antCitation[]{citations=”8b04c14d-568a-460b-87eb-a72959237921″ injected=”space”}
- Each zone is independent. The management interface only covers your current scene. Zone out and zone back into each Snezhnayan sub-area to clear constructs across the full map.
- You can “Like” helpful constructs. If a helpful Link Mechanism or Launching Platform from another player is in a useful spot, you can give it a Like. This is Genshin’s cooperative credit system — it encourages players to leave genuinely useful builds.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I remove Prime Ice Constructs in Genshin Impact?
Open the world map and tap the Manage Prime Ice Constructs toggle at the bottom. Select the cyan-colored construct marker you want to remove and choose Remove. Alternatively, stand near the construct and use the Eye of Graeae menu to dismantle it on the spot — this method also works in Shadow Realm areas where the map position is not shown.
How do I stop other players’ Prime Ice Constructs from appearing in my world?
Open the Prime Ice Construct menu with the Eye of Graeae and tap the settings icon at the top. Find the “Allow receiving Prime Ice Constructs from others” toggle and disable it. This prevents all external constructs from loading into your world going forward. Then use the bulk delete option on the map to clear ones that already appeared.
How do I delete all Prime Ice Constructs at once?
Open the map, tap Manage Prime Ice Constructs, select any construct marker, then use the bulk delete button (the icon with a plus over a trash can). Choose your construct types and quantity from the bottom panel, then confirm with Delete. Note that the tool only covers your current scene — you need to repeat this for each sub-area of Snezhnaya.
How do I unlock Prime Ice Constructs?
You unlock the system by meeting the Eye of Graeae early in the Snezhnayan Archon Quest. After the Traveler and Paimon get separated, you explore a train carriage and encounter the Eye of Graeae there. Once acquired, equip it in your gadget slot to access all Prime Ice Construct features.
Why are Prime Ice Constructs still appearing after I delete them?
If constructs keep reappearing, make sure you have also disabled the permission setting for receiving others’ constructs in the Eye of Graeae settings menu. If they still show up after that, try logging out and logging back in — the game sometimes needs a refresh to fully register the changes across all sub-areas.
How many types of Prime Ice Constructs are there?
There are 9 Prime Ice Construct types as of Version 7.0: Cube, Basic Heat Source, Link Mechanism, Grappling Gun, Launching Platform, Storage Device, Ambient Bollard, Sign: Icon, and Sign: Text. More types may be added in future Snezhnayan updates.
