What Is the Auction House in NTE?
The Ebisu Auction House is a weekly activity in Neverness to Everness where you can bid on rare items using Fons, the city’s main currency. It is located inside The Kapé Grand Hotel in the New Herland District and becomes available after a specific story quest.
Up to 7 items appear each week. These include character upgrade materials, Arc development resources, anomaly furniture items, cosmetics, and rare collectibles. Some of these items cannot be found anywhere else in the game, which makes the Auction House one of the most important weekly stops for efficient progression.
The Auction House does not open through exploration. You must progress through the story first.

How to Unlock the Auction House in NTE
The Auction House unlocks automatically after you complete the main story quest called “Deal? Deal!”. This is Chapter 3, Mission 4 of the main story.
The quest appears in your log after finishing the third main mission, “Love that Begins with Lies”. It starts in Old Town near Eibon. During this quest, you visit The Kapé building for the first time and are introduced to the city’s high-profile underground trading scene. Once the story sequence inside The Kapé ends, the Auction House becomes permanently available.
You cannot access the auction before this point. There are no shortcuts, no exploration tricks, and no workarounds. Follow the main story naturally and you will unlock it as part of normal progression.

Where Is the Auction House in NTE?
The Auction House is inside The Kapé Grand Hotel, located in the southwest area of the New Herland District. On your map, it appears with a gavel icon once it is unlocked.
The fastest way to get there is to fast travel to the Never-Ending Arachne teleport marker in Eibon. When the teleport prompt appears, choose The Kapé option from the list. This drops you directly outside the hotel entrance.
How to Enter and Start Bidding
Once you arrive at The Kapé, here is exactly what to do:
- Walk into the hotel lobby and approach the NPC named Iris near the entrance.
- Speak with Iris and select “Go to the Auction”. She will teleport you to the auction room.
- Inside the auction room, find Iori at the main counter and interact with him.
- Browse the current weekly item list and select the item you want to bid on.
- Click “Join Auction” to enter the bidding round for that item.
From there, you are in a live bidding window against NPC competitors.
How Bidding Works in the NTE Auction House
The bidding system is straightforward. Each item has a starting price in Fons. NPC bidders will raise the price in small increments. You need to outbid every NPC to win the item when the timer hits zero.
Here are the key rules to know:
- The timer is 20 seconds. Every time someone raises a bid, the countdown resets back to 20 seconds.
- You must hold the highest bid until the timer hits zero to win the item.
- You can match the next small increment to keep costs low, or place a very large bid in one go to push NPC competitors out immediately.
- If you run out of Fons mid-auction, you lose the item. It may come back in a future weekly rotation.
- You can also manually refresh the item pool using refresh attempts if you do not like the current selection — no need to wait a full week.

When Does the Auction House Reset?
The Auction House inventory refreshes every Monday at 5:00 AM server time. All unsold or unclaimed items from the previous week disappear and a new set of up to 7 items takes their place.
Do not wait until the last few hours before the reset to bid. Competition tends to get heavier near the end of the week. If you see an item you need, bid early rather than wait.
Staying on top of weekly resets is a key part of efficient progression. Our daily and weekly routine guide covers everything you should be doing each reset to stay ahead. You can also check our server reset time guide to never miss a window.

Best Items to Buy at the NTE Auction House
Not every item in the weekly pool is worth your Fons. Some are far more valuable than others. Here are the top priorities:
Gluttonous Eye and Covetous Coins
These two items are the most important things to buy from the Auction House. Purchasing both unlocks an Anomaly Furniture piece called “Mammon”, which gives you access to a weekly Fons farming zone called the Realm of Greed. Defeating Mammon in this zone pays back around 45,000 Fons, making it one of the best Fons loops available in the early and mid-game.
If you see either of these in the weekly pool, prioritize them above everything else. For more on how Anomaly Furniture works, visit our Anomaly Furniture guide.
Character Ascension Materials
The Auction House regularly stocks rare ascension materials that are difficult to farm through normal means. If an item matches what you need for a character you are currently building, it is almost always worth picking up.
Arc and Module Development Resources
Arc upgrade materials and Module enhancement items show up in the rotation too. These are especially useful if you are trying to max out a character’s weapon or fine-tune their build. Check our Arc tier list to know which weapons are worth investing in before spending your auction Fons on upgrade materials.
Rare Collectibles and Cosmetics
Occasionally, the pool includes cosmetics and collectibles that contribute to your House Collection rating. If you are working on improving your property, these are worth grabbing. Learn more with our House Collection guide.
Hotori’s Life Skills and the Auction House
If you have Hotori on your roster, she has unique Life Skills tied directly to the auction system. Her passive allows her to increase the number of auction listings and refresh unpurchased items. This makes it much easier to find the specific items you are hunting each week without waiting for the full weekly reset.
This is one more reason to consider pulling for her. Check our Hotori build guide for her full kit breakdown, best Arc, and top team compositions.
Tips for Winning Auctions in NTE
- Bid early in the week. Competition is usually lighter at the start of the weekly cycle.
- Use a large opening bid on high-priority items. Scaring off NPC bidders early saves time and sometimes costs less than repeatedly matching small increments.
- Save your Fons before Monday resets. New pools can contain rare items or limited cosmetics. Going into reset day with nothing in your wallet means missing out.
- Check the pool even if you think you do not need anything. The rotation is random, and something useful can appear unexpectedly.
- Use manual refreshes wisely. If the current pool has nothing you want, a manual refresh gives you a new set without waiting. Do not waste them on weeks when the pool is already decent.
Is the Auction House Worth Using?
Yes, absolutely. The Auction House is one of the best recurring systems in NTE for mid-game and late-game progression. The Mammon unlock alone pays for itself in Fons over time. The character materials and Arc resources that appear in rotation are often the exact bottlenecks slowing down your builds.
Make it a weekly habit to check the pool every Monday after the reset. Most weeks you will find at least one item worth spending on. Over time, the Auction House becomes one of the most consistent ways to strengthen your account outside of standard farming.
