Safe Locations in NTE – How to Get Fons Fast (Neverness to Everness)

Find all safe locations in NTE (Neverness to Everness) and learn how to get Fons fast. This guide covers every safe across all districts with exact directions, Fons amounts, and the best ongoing farming methods.

TL;DR

  • There are multiple safes hidden across Hethereau — each gives a one-time Fons payout.
  • The biggest single safe is in Pink Paws Bank HQ (New Herland) and gives 200,000 Fons.
  • To open a safe, walk up to it and hold the interact button to trigger the lockpicking animation.
  • Safes do not respawn — they are a one-time windfall, not a repeatable farm.
  • For ongoing Fons, use Daily Quests, Cafe by Origen, Hethereau Hobbies, Chiz farming, and Pink Paws Heist.

What Are Safes in NTE?

Safes in Neverness to Everness are hidden secret chests scattered across Hethereau. They are not marked on the map by default, so most players walk right past them. When you find and crack one open, you get a lump sum of Fons — the game’s main currency used for buying houses, vehicles, upgrading characters, running your cafe, and more.

Safes tend to appear in locations that make sense for money to be stored — banks, workshops, construction sites, and warehouses. Some are out in the open while others are tucked away in hard-to-reach spots or locked behind enemy encounters.

Opening one is simple. Walk up to the safe, face it, and hold the interact button (F on PC, Circle/X on console). A short lockpicking animation plays and the safe pops open. If there are enemies nearby, it is best to clear them first since getting hit during the lockpick can interrupt you.

All Safe Locations in NTE

Below is every safe currently in the game, organized by district, with directions and the Fons amount inside each one.

Safe 1 – Pink Paws Bank HQ (New Herland District) — 200,000 Fons

nte safe location 1

This is the most valuable safe in the entire game and the first one you should go for. It is located inside the Pink Paws Bank HQ building in New Herland District — the same building where the Pink Paws Heist mini-game takes place.

How to get there:

  1. Fast travel to the New Herland District Wertheimer Tower.
  2. Make your way to the Pink Paws Bank HQ building and enter through the main entrance.
  3. Once inside, take the eastern staircase up to the second floor.
  4. At the top of the stairs, turn left and walk into the first open room.
  5. The safe is on the right side of the room, near a small plant. Hold interact to open it for 200,000 Fons.

No enemies guard this safe. It is a clean, easy grab. Do this one first.

Safe 2 – Midas Arc Workshop (New Herland District) — 100,000 Fons

The second safe is inside the Midas Arc Workshop — the same building that contains the red door portal leading to the top of Midas Tower. If you have been following our guide on how to unlock the Midas Tower Teleport Point, you have already been inside this building.

How to get there:

  1. Fast travel to the ReroRero Phone Booth east of Crocodile Clock Avenue in New Herland District.
  2. Enter the Midas Arc Workshop through its main entrance.
  3. Immediately turn left and take the western staircase up to the second floor.
  4. Once on the second floor, turn left.
  5. The safe is right there in the room. Open it for 100,000 Fons.

No enemies are in the way here either. This one is quick and easy to grab alongside the first safe since both are in New Herland District.

Safe 3 – Construction Site Northeast of Soleil Road (New Herland District) — Multiple Safes

This construction site contains four safes total, though most of them are small. The site is in New Herland District northeast of Soleil Road and is guarded by enemies throughout. You can fight them or try to slip past them to reach the safes quickly.

How to get there:

  1. Fast travel to the ReroRero Phone Booth northwest of Soleil Road in New Herland District.
  2. Walk or ride your vehicle toward the construction site to the northeast.
  3. Use the external lift (elevator) on the outside of the building to reach the upper floors.

Safe breakdown inside the construction site:

  • Second floor — A safe near a pile of sand on top of two boxes: 50,000 Fons. Turn left immediately after getting off the elevator.
  • Gap between 2nd and 3rd floor — Jump down from the lift side and enter the gap between floors. A small safe is inside: 1,250 Fons.
  • Third floor office — Take the lift to the third floor, defeat or avoid enemies, and head into the office. A silver safe gives 1,250 Fons and a golden safe gives 2,500 Fons.

The big prize here is the 50,000 Fons safe on the second floor. The smaller safes are worth grabbing while you are there, but do not stress over them.

Safe 4 – Northridge Station Warehouse (Miguel District) — 50,000 + 1,250 Fons

Up in Miguel District, just north of Northridge Station, there is a warehouse filled with enemies and two safes inside.

  1. Fast travel to the Miguel District Wertheimer Tower.
  2. Head north toward the train station (Northridge Station).
  3. Cross the train tracks and continue north.
  4. Near the map border, you will find a car garage / warehouse filled with enemies.
  5. Clear the enemies or move quickly to find the safes: one large safe for 50,000 Fons and one small safe for 1,250 Fons.

Safe 5 – Miguel District Construction Site (Eastern Miguel District) — 50,000 Fons

There is another construction site in the eastern part of Miguel District, accessible from the eastern ReroRero Phone Booth in the area.

  1. Fast travel to the eastern ReroRero Phone Booth in Miguel District.
  2. Head south and turn left at the first intersection.
  3. Drive east until you reach a large construction site.
  4. Enter the site — it will be filled with enemies but you can ignore them if needed.
  5. Find the small elevator in the middle of the site and use it to go to the second floor.
  6. Turn left after exiting the elevator. The safe sits near a pile of sand on top of two boxes.
  7. Pry it open for 50,000 Fons.

Safe 6 – Near Seahorse Street (Unheard Shores / Bridge Crossings Border) — 50,000 Fons

This safe is near a small house not far from the Vehicle Modification Shop at Seahorse Street. There are enemies guarding the area.

How to get there:

  1. Teleport to the ReroRero Phone Booth near the Vehicle Modification Shop at Seahorse Street.
  2. Head toward the property agency and turn right.
  3. Before the tunnel, get out of your vehicle and go right.
  4. Look for a small house with enemies nearby. Clear them out.
  5. The safe is on the other side of the building. Open it for 50,000 Fons.

Safe 7 & 8 – Near Houdini’s Schemes Anomaly Zone (Bridge Crossings District) — 1,250 + 50,000 Fons

To the far west of the Houdini’s Schemes Anomaly Zone in Bridge Crossings District, two more safes are waiting. They are in a residential area with enemies nearby.

nte safe location 7

How to get there:

  1. Navigate to the Houdini’s Schemes Anomaly Zone marker in Bridge Crossings District and head to the far west of it.
  2. Find the residential patch — look for a house yard with enemies patrolling around it.
  3. Clear the enemies or work around them.
  4. Two safes are here: a small safe for 1,250 Fons and a large safe for 50,000 Fons.

Safe 9 & 10 – Nameless Hospital / Hethereau Municipal Hospital (Illusion Town) — Inside Anomaly Space

The final two safes are inside the Nameless Hospital, which is accessed through the Hethereau Municipal Hospital in Illusion Town. These safes are tied to the Nightmare-Bound Anomaly Commission and are inside the Anomalous Realm — not the normal world. Expect a Resident Evil-style stealth section where you avoid an unkillable monster to collect clues.

nte safe location 9 10
nte safe location 9 10

How to get there:

  1. Teleport to the ReroRero Phone Booth nearest to the Hethereau Municipal Hospital in Illusion Town.
  2. Enter the hospital and turn right, then walk straight.
  3. After a short walk, you will see a blue NPC facing the wall. Interact with him.
  4. This triggers the anomaly and transports you to the Nameless Hospital Anomalous Realm.
  5. Navigate through the safety passages while avoiding the patrolling monster. The two safes are hidden inside this space.

The Nameless Hospital safes contain a combined 100,000 Fons. However, this one takes the most time and effort because of the stealth mechanics and the monster inside. It is worth doing if you are also working through the Nightmare-Bound Anomaly Commission, but skip it for now if you just want quick Fons.

Total Fons from All Safes

If you collect every safe across all districts, including the smaller ones, you are looking at well over 450,000 Fons in total one-time income. The easiest and fastest route to the most Fons is:

  1. Pink Paws Bank HQ — 200,000 Fons (10 minutes, no combat)
  2. Midas Arc Workshop — 100,000 Fons (5 minutes, no combat)
  3. New Herland Construction Site — ~55,000 Fons total (some enemies)

Those three stops alone give you over 350,000 Fons and can be done back to back in New Herland District in under 30 minutes. That is enough to put a serious dent in the cost of your first car or property.

How to Open Safes in NTE

The method is the same for every safe in the game:

  1. Walk up to the safe and stand directly in front of it.
  2. Hold the interact button — F on PC, or the interact button on console and mobile.
  3. A lockpicking animation will begin. Keep holding until it finishes.
  4. The safe pops open and the Fons are added to your wallet instantly.

A few things to know:

  • Clear enemies before lockpicking when possible. Getting hit during the animation can interrupt it and waste your time.
  • Safes do not respawn. Once opened, they are gone for good. Treat them as a one-time head start, not a daily farm.
  • Safes are not marked on the default map. You need to know the locations or explore carefully to spot them.
  • Large golden safes tend to hold more Fons than small silver safes. Prioritize the big ones if you are pressed for time.

Best Ways to Farm Fons Ongoing in NTE

Once you have cracked all the safes, you need a repeatable plan for Fons. Here are the most effective ongoing methods:

Cafe by Origen (Best Passive Method)

The Cafe by Origen is the single most efficient long-term Fons generator in NTE. Your cafe produces Fons passively over time and keeps accumulating even while you are offline. Log in daily, collect your profits, and restock ingredients so it never stops running. The more you upgrade and expand the cafe, the more it earns. Read our guide on how to own a cafe in NTE to get started.

Daily Quests (Fast, Free, Every Day)

Completing your Daily Quests through the Exploration Guide gives you 20,000 Fons per day. The tasks are simple and usually take under 15 minutes. Do these every single day without fail — that is 140,000 Fons per week just from dailies.

Hethereau Hobbies (City Stamina Conversion)

Every Hethereau Hobby mini-game gives 1,000 Fons per 1 City Stamina spent. City Stamina fully resets every Sunday. Spend all of it each week by playing whatever Hobbies you enjoy. Check out our Hethereau Hobbies Guide to learn which ones are available and what to prioritize.

Chiz’s Basic Attack (Daily Fons Cap)

If you have Chiz on your team, you can hold her Basic Attack against enemies and literally beat Fons out of them. There is a daily cap on how much you can farm this way, but it is worth doing a little each day until you hit the cap. Learn how to get Chiz for free in our Chiz Build Guide.

Pink Paws Heist (Repeatable, Up to 1 Million Fons Per Season)

The Pink Paws Heist is a 12-minute mini-game inside the Pink Paws Bank HQ (the same building as Safe 1). It does not consume City Stamina, so you can run it as many times as you want. Each season has a cap of 1 million Fons earnable through the Heist. If you have spare time and want Fons fast, run the Heist repeatedly until you hit the seasonal cap.

Anomaly Commissions (One-Time but Generous)

Every Anomaly Commission gives a one-time Fons reward alongside other loot. Higher difficulty commissions pay more. Clear all the ones available in your unlocked districts to collect these one-time payouts. Check our guide on the Heaven’s Forsaken Anomaly Commission for an example of what you get from completing them.

Special Commissions from the Old Mailbox (Weekly)

The Old Mailbox at your home gives out Special Commissions once per week. Completing them rewards Fons based on your current level. Upgrade the Old Mailbox as high as possible before accepting the commission each week to maximize your payout.

What to Spend Fons On in NTE

Fons is used for almost everything in Hethereau. Here are the biggest Fons expenses to plan for:

  • Buying a property. Housing costs a significant amount of Fons. Read our guide on how to buy a house in NTE to understand the costs and process.
  • Getting a vehicle. Cars and motorcycles are essential for getting around quickly. Learn how to get a car in NTE before spending too much Fons elsewhere.
  • Character outfits. Cosmetics are expensive in NTE. Build your income streams before chasing outfits.
  • Cafe expansion. Buying new shops for your cafe increases passive income. This is one of the best Fons investments in the game long-term.
  • City Tycoon upgrades. Various City Tycoon features require Fons. Read our NTE City Tycoon Guide to prioritize your spending.
