TL;DR
- The Wanted Level in NTE is called Warrant Value.
- It goes up when you commit illegal acts like stealing vehicles, attacking NPCs, or destroying property.
- Three main ways to lower it: escape the police, use Coocoo Alert furniture, or eat Goodheart Crispy Mouse Cookies.
- At 4-Star Warrant, you face a Level 99 boss called the Justice Executioner.
- Getting caught sends you to the Hethereau Detention Center for 6 days.
What Is Warrant Value in NTE?
If you’ve played GTA before, the Warrant Value system in Neverness to Everness will feel familiar. It is the game’s version of a Wanted Level. Every illegal action you take in Hethereau adds to your Warrant Value. Once it crosses a threshold, you become Wanted and the city’s Security Officers will come after you.
The system runs independently from your story progress. You can be a high-level player and still get into trouble fast if you start causing chaos in the open world.
What Raises Your Warrant Value in NTE?
Several actions in the game will increase your Warrant Value. Here are the most common ones:
- Attacking pedestrians or NPCs
- Stealing or forcibly taking a vehicle
- Attacking or fighting Security Officers
- Destroying public property or crashing into things while driving
Even accidental hits can count. A misplaced attack near civilians or bumping into a bus stop while driving can add to your warrant without you even noticing.
Wanted Level Stars Explained
Your Warrant Value builds up into a star-based system. Here is what happens at each level:
- 0 Stars: You are clean. No police pursuit, full freedom to fast travel and shop.
- 1 Star: You are now officially Wanted. Security Officers are deployed. Fast travel, teleporting home, and shopping are all blocked.
- 2 Stars: Flying patrol cars called Officer Whiskers appear, making it much harder to hide or escape.
- 3 Stars: More officers, more pressure. Escape routes become tighter.
- 4 Stars (Max): A powerful Level 99 boss called the Justice Executioner spawns. Losing the fight sends you straight to jail. Winning rewards you with an S-Rare Arc called Hethereau’s Keeper.
During the early game, it is nearly impossible to beat the Justice Executioner. Avoid reaching max Warrant Value until your team is strong enough.
What Happens If You Get Caught?
If any character in your team is defeated while you are Wanted, a Security Officer will arrest you. You will be taken to the Hethereau Detention Center. Your stay lasts 6 in-game days by default. You can leave early by paying a fine of 30,000 Fons.
There are also five creative escape methods inside the prison. Want to know all of them? Check out our full guide on how to escape prison in NTE.
Once you escape or serve your sentence, your Warrant Value resets to zero. No more police pursuit.
How to Lower Wanted Level in NTE (Warrant Value)
There are three main ways to reduce your Warrant Value in Neverness to Everness. You can use any of them alone or combine them for the fastest result.

1. Run Away and Stay Out of Sight
The simplest method is to just run. Your Warrant Value slowly drops over time as long as Security Officers cannot see you. The further away you get from pursuing officers and the longer you stay hidden, the faster it decreases.
A useful trick here is to climb onto rooftops. At Warrant Levels 1 and 2, patrol officers have a very hard time reaching you up there. You can sit on a rooftop for a couple of minutes and watch the Wanted Level drop without much effort. At Level 3, officers will still follow you up, but they move slowly enough for you to plan a way out.
This method works well at lower stars, but it takes time. If you are in a hurry, combine it with one of the other two methods below.

2. Use the Coocoo Alert Anomaly Furniture
This is the fastest and most reliable way to clear your Warrant Value completely. The Coocoo Alert is a piece of Anomaly Furniture that resets your Warrant Value the moment you enter a property where it is active.
The good news is that Coocoo Alert is the default Anomaly Furniture in every player-owned home. You do not need to spend any Fons to get it. Simply walk into your own home while being pursued, and your Warrant Value will reset instantly.
There is one catch. While you are at 1 Star or higher, you cannot fast travel. This means you have to physically walk or run to your property. You cannot teleport directly home while Wanted. One workaround is to use a Goodheart Crispy Mouse Cookie first to bring your Warrant below 1 Star, then fast travel home to let the furniture finish the reset.

3. Eat a Goodheart Crispy Mouse Cookie
Goodheart Crispy Mouse Cookies are consumable items that lower your Warrant Value by 500 points each time you eat one. That is roughly equivalent to dropping one star level.
These cookies are very useful while you are on the run. You can eat one or two while fleeing officers, bring your level below 1 Star, and then use fast travel to get home quickly. Once you walk through your door, the Coocoo Alert handles the rest.
How to get Goodheart Crispy Mouse Cookies:
- Deliver lost items to the Security Office
- Resolve City Violation incidents around Hethereau
- Earn them as drops from enemies
For full details on where to find lost items, visit our NTE Lost Items and Goodheart Crispy Mouse Cookie Guide.
The cookies can also be used to trade for goods at police stations, so always keep a few in your inventory.
Best Strategy to Lower Wanted Level Fast
The fastest combination is: run → eat a cookie → go home.
- Sprint away from officers and get some distance.
- Eat one or two Goodheart Crispy Mouse Cookies to drop below 1 Star.
- Once you are below 1 Star, fast travel or physically walk home.
- The Coocoo Alert furniture clears whatever Warrant Value remains the moment you enter.
This three-step routine clears your Warrant Value in under two minutes if you have cookies on hand. Make it a habit to always carry a few cookies in your inventory, especially if you enjoy risky gameplay in the open world.
Tips to Avoid Getting a High Warrant Value
Sometimes a little prevention goes a long way. Here are a few habits that help:
- Drive carefully. Crashing into public structures while driving is one of the most common accidental sources of Warrant Value. Take it easy on the roads.
- Be careful using AOE attacks near NPCs. If your character has wide-area skills, using them near civilians in the city can hit them and raise your level without you meaning to.
- Get a car the right way. If you want a vehicle, check out our guide on how to get a car in NTE instead of forcibly taking one.
- Buy your own property. Having a home nearby is the fastest escape route when things go wrong. Learn how to buy a house in NTE if you have not done so yet.
- Stock up on cookies. Always have a few Goodheart Crispy Mouse Cookies on hand before doing anything that might get you in trouble.
Should You Intentionally Raise Your Warrant Value?
Yes, but only when you are ready. Reaching maximum Warrant Value and defeating the Justice Executioner Lv. 99 gives you the S-Rare Arc Hethereau’s Keeper. That is a valuable reward and worth going for once your team is strong enough.
Getting arrested also lets you access Zero’s Unconventional Attire outfit, an exclusive cosmetic you can only unlock through the prison system. If you want the outfit, check our guide on NTE Unconventional Attire.
