Who Is Jiuyuan in NTE?

Jiuyuan is a standard S-Rank Anima Support/DPS character in Neverness to Everness (NTE). She is a smooth-talking, enigmatic operative who dual-wields pistols and marks enemies with her signature debuff, Lethal Rose Pact, before detonating them for high burst damage.

She is available on the Standard Board banner permanently and can also be obtained via a Standard Selector after your first 50 rolls on that banner. If Jiuyuan is the character you want, the Standard Selector is the fastest and most reliable way to guarantee her right from the start.

Her Arc compatibility is Solid, and her role in combat is a setup-and-payoff Anima DPS. She marks, she stacks, she detonates. That is the entire loop.

Jiuyuan Overview – What Makes Her Special?

Jiuyuan stands out as one of the most versatile S-Rank characters at launch. She blends high-mobility ranged DPS with crowd control and team healing into a single kit. She compresses multiple roles without feeling watered down in any of them.

Her biggest strength is her Support Skill – Seize the Moment, which doubles the Vita Bud limit on the field from 3 to 6. Each Bud launches 5 Vita Pistils, meaning up to 30 can fire every 2 seconds when the Blossom reaction procs. This makes her the best Blossom team anchor in the game at launch.

She also has a passive called Whispers at My Command. When Vita Pistils hit an enemy not already bound by Lethal Rose Pact, the pact is automatically applied. This means she can spread her mark off-field just by having Blossom active – she does not even need to be on the field to start her damage loop.

In short – she marks, she detonates, she heals, and she supercharges Blossom reactions. All in one character.

Basic Attack – When Secrets Take Shape

Jiuyuan dual-wields pistols and performs up to 5 consecutive attacks, dealing Anima DMG. Completing the full 5-hit combo grants 2 Rose Pact Bullets, and the final strike establishes a Lethal Rose Pact on the target. This is a key reason Basic Attack is the top upgrade priority – every full combo both generates bullets and applies the mark automatically.

Holding the Basic Attack triggers Info-Guided Arts, which auto-targets and fires bullets rapidly while consuming Rose Pact Bullets. This prioritizes enemies already under Lethal Rose Pact, making it the primary way to trigger Pact Settlement between Ultimates. Use this to maintain consistent damage after your burst window.

Critical Riposte version: After a Critical Dodge, she swings both arms and fires a cross-pattern barrage that binds targets with Lethal Rose Pact, deals Anima DMG, reduces Break, and grants 2 Rose Pact Bullets. A very efficient riposte that does multiple jobs at once.

Skill – Intel Hunter

Jiuyuan dashes across the battlefield, pulls the target into close range, deals multiple instances of Anima DMG, grants 4 Rose Pact Bullets, and establishes a Lethal Rose Pact. This is her crowd control tool and one of her best ways to both generate bullets and apply the mark quickly without relying on the full Basic Attack combo.

This skill is especially useful for grouping multiple enemies before using her Ultimate to trigger mass Pact Settlement across all of them at once.

Ultimate – Final Reckoning

This is the main event. Jiuyuan dashes across the battlefield at high speed, continuously firing on surrounding targets before ending with a large-scale explosion dealing Anima DMG. It then triggers Final Reckoning, causing all enemies within range that are bound by Lethal Rose Pact to enter Pact Settlement simultaneously on the final hit.

Pact Settlement is a burst of high Attachment-type Anima DMG that is dramatically increased during Final Reckoning compared to standard settlements. Each settlement also grants Ultimate Energy, helping her cycle back to her next Ultimate faster.

Important: The Ultimate is most effective as a finisher. Use it during enemy openings, Break windows, or boss downtime phases to get maximum damage value from the simultaneous mass settlements.

Support Skill – Seize the Moment (Blossom Enhancement)

This is Jiuyuan’s team-defining passive. It enhances the Blossom reaction by spawning 1 additional Vita Bud and increasing the Vita Bud limit on the field to 6 (up from the default 3). Combined with the Whispers at My Command passive that auto-applies Lethal Rose Pact via Vita Pistils, Jiuyuan effectively turns Blossom into a self-sustaining damage and mark-spreading machine even when she is off the field.

Passive – Whispers at My Command

When Vita Pistils hit an enemy not already affected by Lethal Rose Pact, they automatically bind them with the mark. When Vita Pistils hit targets already bound, they trigger an additional settlement, causing those targets to take an extra 15% Anima DMG. This passive is what makes Jiuyuan so powerful in Blossom teams – she spreads and detonates her marks passively without needing to stay on field.

QTE – Vita Bud Shot

Fires a curved bullet dealing 1 instance of Anima DMG and granting 2 Rose Pact Bullets on hit. A useful entry move to immediately start bullet generation when swapping Jiuyuan into the field.

Jiuyuan Skill Priority

Upgrade in this order: Basic Attack > Ultimate > Skill > Support Skill.

Basic Attack first because it improves both the Attachment DMG of Lethal Rose Pact and the normal Pact Settlement damage – the core of her entire rotation. Ultimate comes second since it raises her big burst multiplier and strengthens her final payoff from mass Pact Settlement. Skill is useful but mainly adds skill-level damage rather than changing how she plays. Support Skill provides extra Blossom utility but is the lowest upgrade priority.

Best Arc for Jiuyuan in NTE

Reality Refuge – Best in Slot (Main DPS)

Reality Refuge is Jiuyuan’s signature Arc and the best choice if you run her as a Main DPS. It boosts ATK and Anima DMG, and crucially increases Attachment DMG by 10% at base. Since Lethal Rose Pact is classified as Attachment DMG, this directly powers her core mechanic. When she casts her Ultimate, the Attachment DMG bonus doubles to 20% for 6 seconds, which perfectly lines up with the mass Pact Settlement burst window.

Fluff of Fearlessness – Sub-DPS Option

Fluff of Fearlessness is the better pick if you use Jiuyuan in a quick-swap Sub-DPS role. It grants CRIT and provides a significant ATK boost after she uses her Ultimate, making it ideal for fast swap-in burst play where she enters, uses Skill and Ultimate, then exits.

Hethereau’s Keeper – Boss Fighter

Hethereau’s Keeper summons Officer Whisker, a companion that deals continuous damage based on Jiuyuan’s ATK. It also increases damage dealt to bosses by 15%. This makes it a solid option specifically for boss fights where the persistent Officer Whisker damage adds consistent value between Jiuyuan’s own burst windows.

Blow Up the Crowd – Support Role Arc

If you want to lean into Jiuyuan’s support role rather than her personal DPS, Blow Up the Crowd is designed for exactly that. It is the Arc of choice for players who want to maximize her Blossom team buffs rather than her own damage output.

Best Cartridge and Modules for Jiuyuan

Fireflies and the Forest – Top Pick

The Fireflies and the Forest Cartridge is the clear best choice for Jiuyuan. The 2-piece bonus adds Anima DMG. The 4-piece Legendary bonus increases her CRIT DMG by 8% every time a nearby enemy takes Anima DMG from the team, stacking up to 7 times for a total of 56% CRIT DMG bonus. Each stack lasts 10 seconds and remains active even when Jiuyuan is off-field.

Because Jiuyuan attacks at high frequency with her twin pistols and Vita Pistils deal Anima DMG constantly through Blossom, maintaining maximum stacks is effortless. The 4-piece effect is almost always active at full value.

Shadow Creed – Budget Alternative

Shadow Creed increases Jiuyuan’s ATK by up to 35% when she uses her Skill. It is a good early-game option before you farm Fireflies and the Forest, but not worth spending Character Pixel to target specifically since you can farm Fireflies instead.

Module Stat Priority

CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate – Main stat priority. Aim for a 1:2 CRIT Rate to CRIT DMG ratio.
Anima DMG% – Strong secondary stat for her main damage type.
ATK% – Solid third priority.
ATK (flat) – Lowest priority.

Note: Jiuyuan’s Console bonus grants 6% CRIT Rate for each Type II Module equipped. Prioritize Type II Module shapes when filling her console grid to maximize this bonus.

Jiuyuan Awakenings – Which Ones to Pick

Jiuyuan’s Awakenings directly upgrade her Lethal Rose Pact damage, add team healing, and improve her Pact Settlement burst. Here is the recommended unlock order:

A2 – Intel Turns Into Blades (Forging Past Tidings into a Blade) – Top priority. Increases Lethal Rose Pact’s DMG Ratio by 100% and restores HP to the entire team equal to 5% of the total damage accumulated by that Rose Pact whenever Final Reckoning triggers settlement. This makes Jiuyuan a capable solo healer in many team compositions. Grab this first.
A4 – Strike to Kill (One-Strike Kill) – Increases DMG Ratio by 50% when Pact Settlement is actively triggered and spreads the effect to targets within range. A direct and significant damage boost to her most important mechanic.
A6 – Lethal Expertise – Jiuyuan’s DMG against targets bound by Lethal Rose Pact increases by 8%. Especially effective against bosses and elite enemies where the mark stays active for a long time.
A3 – Beginning of Advantage – Deducts an additional 4 Break from the settlement target when Pact Settlement is triggered by Final Reckoning. Good for Break-focused content.
A5 – Skill Level Up – Increases the skill level of Basic Attack, Intel Hunter, and Final Reckoning by 1. A universal upgrade but lower priority than the damage-specific Awakenings above.
A1 – Pact Spread – Increases Jiuyuan’s ATK by 5% for each target bound by Lethal Rose Pact on the field, up to 15%. Good in AoE scenarios with multiple marked enemies, but requires at least 3 targets to hit its cap.

Recommended stopping point: A2 is a must-grab immediately for the team healing and massive Lethal Rose Pact damage boost. A4 next for the Pact Settlement upgrade. A6 is your third priority, especially for boss content.

How to Play Jiuyuan – Rotation and Playstyle

Jiuyuan’s entire gameplan follows one clear loop: mark, stack, detonate. Apply Lethal Rose Pact, build Rose Pact Bullets, fire bullets to trigger Pact Settlement, then use the Ultimate for mass settlement burst. Here is the step-by-step rotation:

Open with the Support Skill to start Vita Bud generation and spread Lethal Rose Pact via Whispers at My Command.
Use Intel Hunter (Skill) to pull enemies together, apply Lethal Rose Pact, and gain 4 Rose Pact Bullets instantly.
Complete the full 5-hit Basic Attack combo to apply or refresh Lethal Rose Pact and gain 2 more Rose Pact Bullets.
Hold the Basic Attack to trigger Info-Guided Arts, consuming all 6 Rose Pact Bullets on marked enemies to trigger Pact Settlement repeatedly.
When the Ultimate is charged, cast Final Reckoning during an enemy opening or Break window to trigger simultaneous mass Pact Settlement on all marked targets.
If the Ultimate is not yet charged, swap to your main DPS and let Vita Pistils from Blossom continue spreading marks and dealing damage off-field.
Return to Jiuyuan when her Ultimate is ready and repeat the loop.

Important tip: Do not interrupt Jiuyuan’s Basic Attack combo mid-sequence. If she gets interrupted before the 5th hit, the bullet generation and mark application both reset to zero. Dodge carefully and only commit to the full combo when it is safe to do so.

Best Team Comps for Jiuyuan in NTE

Blossom Charge Team – Best Endgame Comp

This is the strongest team for Jiuyuan at launch. Nanally as Main DPS deals Anima DMG and further enhances Blossom with her own kit. Jiuyuan’s Seize the Moment doubles the Vita Bud limit to 6 and her Whispers at My Command spreads marks off-field passively. Esper Zero enables both the Blossom (Cosmos + Anima) and Remora (Cosmos + Lakshana) reactions, cycling the team’s Esper Meter faster. Adding Hathor completes the Cosmos + Anima + Lakshana triple-cycle, enabling Charge on top of Blossom. Hathor’s Delay Warning passive also extends Remora to 12 seconds and grants the team +10% CRIT Rate on Remora-affected targets.

Standard Blossom Team – Reliable and Consistent

Jiuyuan as Sub-DPS and Blossom enhancer. Mint takes the Main DPS role and deals strong Anima DMG. Esper Zero enables Blossom and charges the team’s Esper Meter faster. Edgar functions as the team healer while also helping trigger Blossom with Zero’s setup. This team is smooth, consistent, and accessible since all characters are available at launch without needing limited banners.

Burst Sub-DPS Team – Quick Swap Play

Jiuyuan takes the Sub-DPS role here, rotating in during her main DPS’s downtime to apply Lethal Rose Pact and trigger Final Reckoning before swapping out. Nanally is the main on-field carry. Sakiri buffs both Jiuyuan and Nanally with her team-wide DMG bonuses and crowd control. Adler provides shields and helps trigger the Hexed Esper Cycle for additional damage layers.

F2P Budget Team – Accessible and Solid

If you do not have Nanally or Hathor, Jiuyuan still works well with the standard roster. Mint handles Main DPS duty. Haniel provides ATK buffs, sustain, and helps enable Blossom with Anima coverage. Zero keeps the Esper Cycle moving. This team is entirely composed of standard or free characters and holds up well through most of the game’s story and mid-game content.

Jiuyuan Stat Priority

Jiuyuan is a CRIT-scaling burst DPS. Stack CRIT first and work down from there:

CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate – Always top priority. Aim for a 1:2 CRIT Rate to CRIT DMG ratio.
Anima DMG% – Strong secondary stat since all her damage is Anima-type.
ATK% – Good third priority, especially useful for scaling Lethal Rose Pact and Pact Settlement.
ATK (flat) – Lowest priority.

Is Jiuyuan Worth Pulling in NTE?

Yes. Jiuyuan is one of the most well-rounded characters at NTE launch. She compresses multiple roles into one kit – she marks enemies, detonates them, heals the team, enhances Blossom, and can work as either a Main or Sub-DPS depending on what your team needs.

Her biggest limitation is that her damage windows are tied to getting her Ultimate up. Without it, her sustained damage drops off noticeably. However, her synergy with Blossom teams means that even when she is off-field, Vita Pistils are spreading marks and dealing damage for her.

Since she is a standard character, she is permanently available and can also be selected with a Standard Selector. She is a very safe investment for any account.
